Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.

Captured
(e lewis)
Easier said than done
I should have known that the best was yet to come
As the object of my affection
Would I dare confess to you?
Fantasies that haunt me
Dreams of how our passions could be set free
Magic nights wed share
I never knew youd care
Quite like you said you did
You captured my heart
How many times did I try to say
It will be easier just to walk away
But at the mercy of my obsession
Didnt dare confess to you
How I long for you to want me
To my fantasies you hold the key
Passions that wed share
I never knew youd care quite like you said you did
You captured my heart
You dazzled me blind
Oh were flying high
A perfect love to find
You captured my heart
Oh please say you want to stay with me forever
How I long to kiss your lovely face, pretty baby
Every night you haunt my dreams
Theres no need to fantasize, youre here with me
Since I captured your heart
Captured captured my heart
Captured my heart
Captured captured my heart
Captured my heart
Captured captured my heart
Captured my heart
Captured captured my heart
Captured my heart

What I think I have in common with the school of deconstruction is the mode of negative thinking or negative awareness, in the technical, philosophical sense of the negative, but which comes to me through negative theology.

Double Negative
Is a double negative always positive
I posit....N O...no
If we took all the negative things in the world
put them in a big pile
divided them
counted each side
would the result be even or odd
I don't know the answer to this but I assume(and you know what that makes us both) ....oh the hell with cliches
I assume that the answer would not be the answer for long
the way of the world is negatives are created
faster than positives even on slow days
such as this one....right here
Ok, maybe in math...but this is a poem
hmmmm....I wonder what double digression looks like
what about photography? ....I don't know
I am all digital now
anyway if a boink is negative......
what is a double boink?
in a double blind study where both participants were in fact blind
the boinker of the fist boink said to the boinker of the second boink
Mama said fist boinking would make us blind
and here we are part of a wonderful scientific exspearament
want some gum?

I captured a butterfly in a jar
I captured a butterfly in a jar
I danced around in the grass for hours
Chasing it down stumbling falling laughing
Making the chase the most rewarding
I captured a butterfly in a jar
There it was for me to hold and keep forever
Anytime I wanted to relish in the joy of life
There it was for me to look upon
I captured a butterfly in a jar
Time eroded on and all things change
The butterfly became just another bug
Trapped in a glass cage
I captured a butterfly in a jar
And saw how sad it truly was
A prisoner and I the jailer
I had to let it go
I captured a butterfly in a jar
I opened that lid and allowed it to go
And it flew away far from me
It left me yearning for that summer day
I captured a butterfly in a jar
But maybe it captured me
Because ever since that butterfly flew away
I have never again felt free
A Few Easy Pieces
Piece of this
piece of that
Peace and bliss,
Piece of crap
Peace of mind,
Piece of cake,
piece of work
Piece of steak,
Piece of eight
Piece of the action
Piece of the pie
Peace and satisfaction
Piece in the valley
Piece of glass
piece of my mind
Piece of a….
That’s quite enough now! ! !
Let’s quit this dance
Let’s stop while we’re ahead…
Let’s Give peace a chance

Arrested By You
(rupert hine / jeannette obstoj)
What is this strange elation?
Taking my train of thought to an unknown destination
And suddenly I dont know where I am
But like a tremor or a spark
Somethings happening in my heart
Ive been arrested by you
Take me in, oh, oh, oh
Finally captured by you, by you and by you
Take me in
Ive been arrested by you
Take me in, oh, oh, oh
Finally captured by you, by you and by you
Take me in
Youve broken my concentration
Saving me just in time from a desperate situation
And suddenly, I dont know who I am
But my dilemmas where to start
Somethings happening in my heart
Ive been arrested by you
Take me in, oh, oh, oh
Finally captured by you, by you and by you
Take me in
Ive been arrested by you
Take me in, oh, oh, oh
Finally captured by you, by you and by you
Take me in
Ive been arrested by you
Take me in, oh, oh, oh
Finally captured by you, by you and by you
Take me in
Ive been arrested by you
Take me in, oh
Finally captured by you, oh, oh
Take me in
Ive been captured, captured, captured, captured
Oh, baby
Oh, ho,
Take me baby
Oh, oh, oh, oh

A Piece Of You
Im just trying to live this life of mine
The more I look, the more Im blind
And all I ask for is piece of mind
And all I want is a piece of you
Well I lost my way today
Back home from work
The snow fell like dust
I felt like dirt
Happens everytime I start to search
For that long lost piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you
It seems the last time I was sure
Of anything
I sold my heart
I wore your ring
But now, the queen has lost her king
All I want is a piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you

When I first became interested in photography, I thought it was the whole cheese. My idea was to have it recognized as one of the fine arts. Today I don't give a hoot in hell about that. The mission of photography is to explain man to man and each man to himself.

The Toads Revenge
The spider ate the fly,
captured in a web of uncertainty.
The toad ate the spider,
captured in the swamp of reality.
The snake ate the toad,
captured in the grasses of fantasy.
The hawk ate the snake,
captured in the shade of unrest.
The man ate the golden hawk,
captured in the sky of extinction.
The man died with a broken arrow.
The toad had poison within the marrow.

My Lovers Box
My lovers charms
Are in a box
Beneath my bed
And piece by piece
Ill cherish them
Until the end
Send me an angel to love
I need to feel a little piece of heaven
Send me an angel to love
Im afraid Ill never get to heaven
They burn my hands
Scar my face
And blind my eyes
Ill steal your breath
And throw away
What I despise
Send me an angel to love
I need to feel a little piece of heaven
Send me an angel to love
Im afraid Ill never get to heaven
Between these walls
And darkened halls
Ive done my time
If I should die
Before I wake
Then youll know why
Send me an angel to love
I need to feel a little piece of heaven
Send me an angel to love
Im afraid Ill never get to heaven, piece by piece
Send me an angel to love, piece by piece
I need to feel a little piece of heaven, piece by piece
Send me an angel to love, piece by piece
Im afraid Ill never get to heaven, piece by piece
Piece by piece
Piece by piece, send me an angel
Piece by piece, send me an angel
Piece by piece, send me an angel
Piece by piece, send me an angel
Piece by piece, send me an angel
Piece by piece, send me an angel
Piece by piece, send me an angel
Piece by piece, send me an angel

Piece Of Crap (Eddie Vedder & Ministry) (White Label Demo)
Neil Young) (various dates)
Tried to save the trees, bought a plastic bag
The bottom fell out, it was a piece 'a crap...piece of crap...
Wanted an LP, only had CD's
Digitally clean, it was a piece of crap...piece of crap...
Bought myself a can, thought it'd take me far
The dealer was a liar, he was a piece of crap...piece of crap...
Got it from my friend, on him you can depend
I found out in the end, it was a piece of crap...piece of crap...
I'm trying to save the trees, I saw it on TV
They cut the forest down to build a piece of crap...piece of crap...
Picked up a magazine to read about the scene
It didn't tell me beans, it was a piece of crap...piece of crap...
I went back to the store, they gave me four more
The guy told me at the door it was a piece of crap...
It was a piece of crap
