Psalm 37
The righteous man has little
And the wicked they are rich
But the Lord upholds His children
And the blind fall in a ditch
It seems that many prosper
And the righteous go unseen
But the Lord He sees in secret
And our hearts He washes clean
The Lord upholds the righteous
The wicked turn night to day
Their time is at an end
Like smoke, they shall blow away
The righteous they show mercy
And every one of their steps are planned
And though they fall, yet not forever
He upholds them with His hand
I once was young but now am old
Yet I have never begged for bread
He is faithful now and evermore
The Lord of the living and dead
Now if you wait upon the Lord
You shall inherit the land
You shall walk in peace and loving joy
And in His presence you shall stand

Orleans
My sister was named Orleans
After the town where she was born,
Dear Orleans, my best friend,
A little girl with hazel eyes,
Dear Orleans, please don’t cry,
Hold my hand and stay with me,
And never say good bye.
My sister grew up beautiful
Like so many little girls do,
My sister Orleans, late one night,
Danced with a man named Lou.
Dear Orleans, please come home,
Mama and daddy and I
Are waiting here for you.
My sister never came home that night,
And daddy called the law,
Mama paced the floor till dawn
And wrung her hands till they were raw,
Dear Orleans, we waited till
The police came to our house
And told us what they saw.
My sister had been ravished bad
And left to die alone.
The man called Lou had fled the town
And by morning he was gone.
Dear Orleans, thank God you lived,
Though you’ll never be the same,
At least you’re safe at home.
My sister Orleans grew a life
Conceived through hate and fear;
We tried to hide it from the town
But soon it became clear.
Dear Orleans, hid her shame
As day by day she swelled
And the baby’s birth drew near.
My sister thrashed and cried in bed
On the day the sun was high;
She begged for mercy and release
Till we heard the infant cry
Dear Orleans, reached out for him
I wrapped him in a towel
And watched her baby die.

New Orleans
(mark d. sanders/bob dipiero/steve seskin)
He was twenty-five, she was twenty-eight
He was home grown country, shed just pulled off the interstate
She bought a dr. pepper, ten dollars worth of gas
She was ovbiously lost but too afraid to ask directions
So he offered her a smile and a stick of beech nut gum
He said where you headed to girl, where are you coming from
She said
New orleans but thats another story
New orleans thats another time
Thats another town, thats another life
First she stayed a day then she stayed a week
Couple of months later they were living on his parents street
He worked the station and she worked the store
And then they had a baby and
Then they had one more little jesse
When she dropped the kids off at the mothers day out
All the ladies had their questions
But they knew not to ask about
New orleans but thats another story
New orleans thats another time
Thats another town, thats another life
Wednesday night supper at the first baptist church
Stranger standin in the doorway
As theyre passin out the dessert
He said go on and pack your bags
Cause Im here to take you home
Im goin back to louisiana
And woman I aint gonna go with out you
Theres a few defining moments in every persons life
When you know what youve done wrong
And you know what youve done right
And before the congregation and her husband and her kids
She says, how dare you even speak to me
After everything you did...in
New orleans but thats another story
New orleans thats another time
Thats another town, thats another life
Thats another town, thats another life

Down To New Orleans
Hey creole darlin
Talk that french to me
You know your love is somethin
Like I aint never seen
Im goin down, down, down, down to new orleans
Your eyes shine line diamonds
And those kisses sure make me scream
There aint nothin like love on the bayou
Honey I know you know what I mean
Im goin down, down, down, down to new orleans
Im goin down, down, down, down to new orleans
Chorus:
They got the gumbo and the creole
They got the quarter all night long
I got my delta queen that makes my heart sing
Man I aint never goin home
Im goin down, down, down, down to new orleans

Louisiana Purchase
Louisiana purchase, I'll tell you what it means
It means I'd like to sell you New Orleans
Come on, come on
And you all can go to town way down in New Orleans
Louisiana salesman with nothing in his jeans
That's why I'd like to sell you New Orleans
Come on, come on
And do all the things there are to do in New Orleans
Where does that heat come from?
That rhythmic beat come from?
And that red meat come from?
New Orleans
Louisiana purchase, I told you what it means
So won't you let me sell you New Orleans?
Come on, come on
And you all can go to town way down in New Orleans

House Wife Affair
I been having my housewife affair for awhile
which my husband doesn't even care about!
They are all performed in the comfort of the home
And I never have to ever dress up, or go out!
These men that live in our home
are Kenmore, and then that other fella, Hover!
They're my kind of secret men!
They are shakers and, real movers!
One takes me around and around the house
as he sweeps me across, clean floors!
The other pampers my clothes in bubbles
and sometimes, even helps me, clean above the doors!
Then one can be as cold as ice!
But does take me to the kitchen to dine.
And sometimes makes me coffee
Aromas, waking me up, before the stoke of nine.
I don't think I'll let my husband in on it
these other men I have in my life!
I'll just pretend, that they're my secret lovers
helping just another, imaginative, overworked, housewife!

41 shots
41 shots
41 shots
41 shots
41 shots
41 shots
41 shots
41 shots, and we'll take that ride
Across this bloody river to the other side
41 shots, they cut through the night
You're kneeling over his body in the vestibule
Praying for his life
Is it a gun?
Is it a knife?
Is it a wallet?
This is your life
It ain't no secret (it ain't no secret)
It ain't no secret (it ain't no secret)
Ain't no secret my friend
You can get killed just for living in your american skin
41 shots

41 shots, lena gets her son ready for school
She says now on these streets charles
You got to understand the rules
Promise me if an officer stops you'll always be polite
Never ever run away and promise mama you'll keep your hands in sight
Cause is it a gun?
Is it a knife?
Is it a wallet?
This is your life
It ain't no secret (it ain't no secret)
It ain't no secret (it ain't no secret)
No secret my friend
You can get killed just for living in your american skin

It ain't no secret (it ain't no secret)
41 shots and we'll take that ride
Across this bloody river to the other side
41 shots my boots caked in mud
We're baptized in these waters and in each other's blood
Is it a gun?
Is it a knife?
Is it a wallet?
This is your life
It ain't no secret (it ain't no secret)
It ain't no secret (it ain't no secret)

House Of The Rising Sun
Traditional
There is a house in new orleans
Call it the rising sun
And its been the ruin
Of many a poor girl
And me, oh lord, Im one
If Id listened what my mama said
Be at home today
Bein so young
And foolish, my lord
Let a gambler lead me astray
My mother was a tailor
Sews new blue jeans
My sweethearts is a drunkarad, lord
Drinks down in new orleans
Go tell my baby sister
Never do what I have done
Shun that house in new orleans
They call it the rising sun
Goin back to new orleans
Race is almost run
Goin back to spend my life
Beneath, beneath, beneath, oh lord
Beneath, oh now
Beneath the rising, rising sun
Now, now
You come on bye

Victorias Secret
(toby keith/wayne perry)
Word sure gets around in a tattle tale town
That why she never goes out at night
But when her kids go to school and her husbands gone too
She gets in her care and she drives
To a little motel on the outskirts of town
Puts on her perfume and turns the bed down
And Im the only one who knows victorias secret
Her husbands always working and hes never home
When hes there with her hes still gone
And she cant stand living and loving alone
Well shes got her children to raise, thats why she cant let it show
Im the only one who knows victorias secret
Its pta meetings, warm social greetings
A womans work never gets done
Its church sunday, it starts again monday
Seems shes always on the run
And she gets so lonely it tears her in two
Thats when she does what a woman must do
And Im the only one who knows victorias secret
Her husbands always working and hes never home
When hes there with her hes still gone
And she cant stand living and loving alone
Well shes got her children to raise, thats why she cant let it show
Im the only one who knows victorias secret
Ah shes got her children to raise thats why she cant let it show
Im the only one who knows victorias secret
Yeah Im the only one who knows victorias secret

Surprise in Japan - Mosquitos in the Oil
not so oily to the ears
mosquitos and other insects
in the used cooking oil
cooking oil for reuse
mosquitos, and insects
at bottom of the can
restaurant special recipe
adding to the taste
used oil with mosquitos
Most books I read tell us about Japanese being very clean people but the chef of this this restaurant in Nishi Funabashi I found put his used cooking oil in a can and under the choppng table in the kitchen. It was meant for reuse. I found mosquitos, ants, and other insects at the bottom of the can. It was really a surprise.

Im afraid I will never change,
Its okay Im not ashamed
I can say that my bed is made
You can bend me, shape me any way you can
Bend me, shape me any way you want me.
I maintain, I am not in pain,
How I try, not to place the blame
I came late to an early game
You can bend me, shape me any way x3
You can bend me, shape me any way you want me
When I was five, I took a dive,
When I was ten, I walked again
When I was fifteen, I kept my motor clean
When I was twenty, I got plenty
When I was twenty-five
When I was twenty-five

Planet Of New Orleans
Standin on the corner
Of toulouse and dauphine
Waitin on marie-ondine
Im tryin to place a tune
Under a louisiana moonbeam
On the planet of new orleans
In a bar they call the saturn
And in her eyes of green
And somethin that she said in a dream
Inside of my suit I got my mojo root
And a true love figurine
For the planet of new orleans
New orleans - the other planet
With other life upon it
And everythin thats shakin in between
If you should ever land upon it
You better know whats on it
The planet of new orleans
Now Im tryin to find my way
Through the rain and the steam
Im lookin straight ahead through the screen
And then I heard her say
Somethin in the limousine
bout takin a ride across the planet of new orleans
If she was an ace
And I was just a jack
And the cards were never seen
We could have been the king and queen
But she took me back to her courtyard
Where magnolia perfume screams
Behind the gates and the granite
Of the planet of new orleans

Clean
Eat clean,
Live clean,
Sleep clean,
dress clean,
Walk clean,
Learn clean,
Play clean,
Think clean,
dance clean,
Talk clean,
Sing clean,
work clean,
Because the world around you is watching what you do;
You are the only one on this earth,
So live and let us live too.

I Highly Recommend You Find Another Job
You want the oven turned on,
But you don't want to go into the kitchen?
And you expect the pots and pans to be spotless,
Because you are a new arrival.
With a jumping into this heat...
With a full set of teeth seen grinning from ear to ear.
And you wish the others to greet you,
Living in the home as if you are a queen...
And 'not' the MAID they will believe they own?
I highly recommend you find another job!
Because this one you 'claim' to qualify for,
Is not going to be what you've been led to believe.
Because of positions you have had before.
You will not believe how unique this one will be.
The people living in this home,
Think of it as a mansion.
And not only expect you to be the chef...
They expect you to clean up after them,
And cater to every whim they have for you to expect.
With no complaints from you about being worked to death.
Or moaning about being disrespected.
Oh...
And before you leave for the day,
Be sure to mow the lawn and scent each pillow...
That the 'family' living here sleep on!
And after you have made the beds,
From hand washing and Sun drying clean sheets...
Go to each one and listen to their sorrows.
They will love you for it!
And...
I wouldn't advise you to wear make-up on this job.
You've come to serve.
Not the other way around!

My Blue Ridge Mountain Boy
From a shack by a mountain stream
To a room in new orleans
So far from my blue ridge mountain home
The men I meet aint warm and friendly
Like the one in old virginie
Oh they aint real like my blue ridge mountain boy
I was just a little past eighteen
When I came to new orleans
Id never been beyond my home state line
There was a boy who loved me dearly
But I broke his heart severely
When I left my blue ridge mountain boy
Life was dull in my hometown
Lights were out when the sun went down
And I thought that city life was more my style
But nights get lonely away from home
And its easy to go wrong
The men aint kind like my blue ridge mountain boy
New orleans held things in store
Things Id never bargained for
And every night a different man knocks on my door
But late at night when all is still
I can hear a whippoorwill
As I cry for my blue ridge mountain boy
Oh but I can never go back home
Since the boy I love is gone
He grew tired of waiting for me to return
They say he married last october
But I never will get over
Oh the sweet love of my blue ridge mountain boy
Blue ridge mountain boy
