Friends to Virtue
"The gods whom we all belong to are the gods we belong to whether we will or no."
Into the theatre they came—
"Motley 's the only wear!"
Children of poverty, of shame,
Of folly, of despair.
Elbowing rudely, Jill and Jack,
A nearer view to win,
Youths, men, and women, white and black,
Pell-mell, they jostled in.
A wretched place of poor resort,
Far from the world polite,
Few pennies bought the meagre sport
So fruitful of delight,
And gazing there, each brutish face,
The godlike stamp resigned,
A tablet seemed whereon disgrace
Had written thoughts unkind.
"And what," I mused, "will now be fed
To cater to their mood
Who, as their looks bespeak, have said,—
'Evil, be thou my good'?
"Order will surely be reversed,
Judgment will disappear,
The tricks of knaves will be rehearsed
To catch the plaudits here!"
Yet as I watched the varied throng,
My theories took flight,
For, lo, they still condemned the wrong,
They still approved the right!
The "villain" by his better art
Surprised from them no praise;
They frankly took the hero's part,
Awarding him the bays;
For they, unlike the wise of earth,
Slight tribute paid to skill,—
Anhungered for a higher worth,
Lovers of virtue still!

Pellmell Morning
Woke up with the crow
Crow flew away uncaged
A pell-mell morning, know not how
Like that crow to fly freed
Pell-mell chores, pell-mell errands
Bound and bowed to the pell-mell duties
Pell-mell rise, pell-mell bath, pell-mell pooja
Pell-mell cooking break-fasting on grumbles others'
Running faster after the sun
Soused in sweat a hurry-burry fun
Pell-mell hubbub to school and office wishing
Doubled my eyes and limbs added on my back
Awaiting attention my in-laws
Pain in the neck, poking in or breaking away
My significant maidservant
Very much purposely the dying gas cylinder
More ruthlessly the electricity cut off
Mixie, grinder, microwave, all reposing
Pell-mell jiggles, pell-mell morning, agree?

Gods
Gods of the white man,
Gods of the black man,
Gods of the almond shade
all of these Gods
have done one thing,
made the people afraid.
Gods of the red man,
Gods of the brown man
Gods of the yellow hue,
all of these Gods
have done the same
divided them into
Separate people
who've been led to believe
their God is the holy one
to save their souls
and pardon them
and deliver them
from earthly sin.
How can there be
so many Gods?
Isn't there only one?
One for every single soul
born unto this earth.
He's every color that there is
since the world's begun.

Back Where You Belong
I felt so sure of the love that we shared
There was no reason on earth to be scared
Then I heard a rumor, it started to grow
Slowly but surely, the truth began to show
Then I started wonderin, as I picked up the phone
And a man started askin, if you were at home
You treat me like a fool, but youre so wrong
Im gonna send you back where you belong
I put my trust in you, but I was wrong
Im gonna send you back where you belong
You treat me like a fool, but youre so wrong
Im gonna send you back where you belong
I never had any doubt in my mind
Now you have shown me, love can make you blind
Back where you belong, back where you belong
Back where you belong, back where you belong
Back where you belong, back where you belong
Back where you belong, back where you belong
Back where you belong, back where you belong
Back where you belong...

If You Belong To Me
I left you crying on that angry morning
You know I lied
Ill always run from anything that loves me to my safe side
My world circles round a different sun
Thats all burned away
I know that youre the only one
Now Im walking down some distant street
And I know your touch is out of reach.
Girl you belong to me I know
And it was wrong for me to ever let you go
Girl you belong to me I know.
Everybody has a lonely moment
They cant explain
And everybody wants to feed their hunger
Without the pain.
Theres no shadows in my hiding place
Im so locked away
Now I wish that I could see your face
I know I hurt you when you say were through
I never really will get over you cause...
Girl you belong to me I know
And it was wrong for me to ever let you go
Girl you belong to me I know.
Girl you belong to me I know.
And it was wrong rof me to ever let you go.

You're Where I Belong
(diane warren)
Yeah
I am home now, home now
I've been waiting for forever to find you, to find you
I'm not alone now, alone now
Cuz you've taken in my heart from the cold
All i know is every time i look into your eyes i'm home, i know
You're where i belong
I belong with you
You're where i belong
And i know it's the truth
You're part of my heart
There's nothing i can do
Oh you're the one who keeps me warm
My baby you're where i belong
You're my first taste, first taste
Of the sweetest feeling i've ever known, that i've known
You're my safe place, my safe place
>from a world that can be so cruel and cold
You're my harbor, you're my shelter, you're that welcome smile
That lets me know i'm home
You're where i belong
I belong with you
You're where i belong
And i know it's the truth
You're part of my heart
There's nothing i can do
Oh you're the one who keeps me warm
My baby you're where i belong
You're the one i come too, yeah
To keep me from the cold
You're where i belong
I belong with you

God’s Final Remnant
Judgment will start in God’s Church, among all men who weekly perch,
Upon the pews looking their best, for some, only how they’re dressed.
In God’s Judgment, sound and sure, all false believers will not endure,
Those who have knowingly denied, to make heart change deep inside.
God will sift the Soldiers of Christ, from all who have no changed life,
Judging those, who do not belong, to His True Blood Bought Throng.
Just like the sheep and the goats, judging him, who spiritually gloats,
Through exalting them self, in pride, above those, who in Christ abide.
Some with a pure and contrite heart, serving God and doing their part,
Are at times hurt by others within, Christ’s Body when they tolerate sin,
And some, may not even belong, ignoring what we deem to be wrong,
Causing much hurt and undue strife, to members who truly love Christ.
How long will God’s Spirit contend, with all those who merely pretend,
That they belong to Christ’s Church, even without a true spiritual birth?
Bringing a Body that bears His name, time and again, hurt and shame,
Unconverted souls women and men, in the Church but not Born Again.
A remnant, God had used before, and a remnant, He’ll use once more,
This, at the end of this present age, before Christ turns that final page,
God will end with a remnant of those, who truly follow Christ who rose,
A final remnant, who truly believed, in the One, who they truly received.

Order of Things
The order of life and things
'Family, home, God and what your toil will bring'.
Do unto others
'As we did and do; for our own sisters and Mothers'.
One Should have pride in the good they do
'That is why God created you and you; and me too'
Evil will destroy evil and that is a fact
'Just refuse to participate in an evil act'..
Responsibility comes with an age and a title too
Judgment for how many and what did you do.'
Stand up for right and insist each child does belong
'A child cannot sin nor can it do evil wrong.'
No one has the right or authority to profane
'How can the universal creator have an earthly name'?
Two different halves together can make a whole
'The children have the right, their story to unfold.

True
Sun come shining through
You are still dreaming
I can hardly believe it
Im here with you
Lying in you arms
I hear you breathing
I tried to capture the moment
That I share with you
Can this be true
I belong to you
You belong to me
Can this be true
I belong to you
You belong to me
Tell me this is true
Drowning in your eyes
Your heart is beating
The world outside it feels so cold
But its warm here with you
Hours they go by
My love keeps growing
Its like we live in slow motion
Im so lost in you
Can this be true
I belong to you
You belong to me
Can this be true
I belong to you
You belong to me
Tell me this is true
Can this be true
I belong to you
You belong to me
Can this be true
I belong to you
You belong to me
Can this be true
I belong to you
You belong to me
Can this be true
I belong to you
You belong to me
I cant believe its true

A Man's a Man for A' That
Is there for honest Poverty
That hings his head, an' a' that;
The coward slave-we pass him by,
We dare be poor for a' that!
For a' that, an' a' that.
Our toils obscure an' a' that,
The rank is but the guinea's stamp,
The Man's the gowd for a' that.
What though on hamely fare we dine,
Wear hodden grey, an' a that;
Gie fools their silks, and knaves their wine;
A Man's a Man for a' that:
For a' that, and a' that,
Their tinsel show, an' a' that;
The honest man, tho' e'er sae poor,
Is king o' men for a' that.
Ye see yon birkie, ca'd a lord,
Wha struts, an' stares, an' a' that;
Tho' hundreds worship at his word,
He's but a coof for a' that:
For a' that, an' a' that,
His ribband, star, an' a' that:
The man o' independent mind
He looks an' laughs at a' that.
A prince can mak a belted knight,
A marquis, duke, an' a' that;
But an honest man's abon his might,
Gude faith, he maunna fa' that!
For a' that, an' a' that,
Their dignities an' a' that;
The pith o' sense, an' pride o' worth,
Are higher rank than a' that.
Then let us pray that come it may,
(As come it will for a' that,)
That Sense and Worth, o'er a' the earth,
Shall bear the gree, an' a' that.
For a' that, an' a' that,
It's coming yet for a' that,
That Man to Man, the world o'er,
Shall brothers be for a' that.

Psalm 82
God in the *great *assembly stands *Bagnadath-el
Of Kings and lordly States,
Among the gods* on both his hands. *Bekerev.
He judges and debates.
How long will ye *pervert the right *Tishphetu
With *judgment false and wrong gnavel.
Favouring the wicked by your might,
Who thence grow bold and strong?
*Regard the *weak and fatherless *Shiphtu-dal.
*Dispatch the *poor mans cause,
And **raise the man in deep distress
By **just and equal Lawes. **Hatzdiku.
Defend the poor and desolate,
And rescue from the hands
Of wicked men the low estate
Of him that help demands.
They know not nor will understand,
In darkness they walk on,
The Earths foundations all are *mov'd *Jimmotu.
And *out of order gon.
I said that ye were Gods, yea all
The Sons of God most high
But ye shall die like men, and fall
As other Princes die.
Rise God, *judge thou the earth in might,
This wicked earth *redress, *Shiphta.
For thou art he who shalt by right
The Nations all possess.

This Is Where I Belong
I cant think of a place Id rather be.
The whole wide world doesnt mean so much to me,
For this is where I belong,
This is where I belong.
Tell me now if you want me to stay.
It dont matter, cause Id stay here anyway.
For this is where I belong,
This is where I belong.
Well, I aint gonna wander,
Like the boy I used to know.
Hes a real unluckly fella,
And hes got no place to go.
I wont search for a house upon a hill.
Why should I when Id only miss you still,
For this is where I belong,
This is where I belong.
This is where I belong.

Ode V: On Love Of Praise
I.
Of all the springs within the mind
Which prompt her steps in fortune's maze,
From none more pleasing aid we find
Than from the genuine love of praise.
II.
Nor any partial, private end
Such reverence to the public bears;
Nor any passion, virtue's friend,
So like to virtue's self appears.
III.
For who in glory can delight
Without delight in glorious deeds?
What man a charming voice can slight,
Who courts the echo that succeeds?
IV.
But not the echo on the voice
More, than on virtue praise, depends;
To which, of course, it's real price
The judgment of the praiser lends.
V.
If praise then with religious awe
From the sole perfect judge be sought,
A nobler aim, a purer law
Nor priest, nor bard, nor sage hath taught.
VI.
With which in character the same
Tho' in an humbler sphere it lies,
I count that soul of human fame,
The suffrage of the good and wise.

You Don't Belong Down Here
Sky rise so haunting on the other side of the street
Two thin white lines between where you are and where you should be
I know sometimes when you fly you think you're larger than life
But then you come crashing down and you're asleep on the ground
A king without his crown
Chorus:
You don't belong down here
You don't belong down here
You don't belong down here
Anymore, not ever
This park is an island in a sea of despair
In the heart of the city of angels who aren't even there
I see you praying for hope while you keep worshipping dope
The devil right by your side and i see death in your eyes
Will you live or do you have the will to die
Chorus
Doo, doo, doo, doo
I want to do things before they become
The things i should have done in my life
Chorus
We don't belong down here
You don't belong down here
You don't belong and we don't belong
We don't belong down here
We don't belong down here
We don't belong
No one belongs down here anymore
Not ever

I have a fear - I may be wrong.
I have a fear - I may be wrong:
that all too many, put off all thoughts of 'God'
by those who claim to speak for Him,
may cease to look for, name, all wondrous things:
the good, and beautiful, and truthful; which give joy;
which you and I love as the best of life...
and name them, praise them, to our children's ears
as all the wonder that they are...
I have a fear - I may be wrong:
that even seeing this world as sweetshop of delights
we never look to see
some unity.
I have a fear - I may be wrong:
that we may miss the mind's pure joy
of stepping back to see
beyond what shows itself,
a greater and more glorious view...
I have a fear - I may be wrong:
that though we have a hazy view
of 'Creation' and 'Creator',
we do not seek to play Creation's part -
as species disappear; as world pollutes...
I have a fear -I may be wrong:
we know the words; but miss the song.

In A Human World Where Many Grow Poorer
In a Human World where many grow poorer for one to become a millionaire
Who can blame the forgotten have nots for thinking that life is unfair
The homeless poor of the big city to survive have to battle the odds
Many of them die in their twenties the children of the lesser gods,
The children of disadvantaged parents for them no such a thing as a fair go
A good home and a good education of such things they never will know
Compared to them I feel so lucky one might say a fortunate man
I have never been hungry or homeless at anytime in my life span
For the wealthy to grow wealthier the poor must grow poorer in a fair Human World this would not be
Far too many are disadvantaged and condemned to live in poverty
Even in the so called wealthy Nations the hidden poverty is rife
By circumstance of birth far too many are condemned to a miserable life
'Tis true enough we are mere mortals and to the scythe of the Reaper we fall
But in a Human World where many grow poorer no such a thing as a fair go for all.

When The Sun Goes Down Tomorrow
Thumbing for a ride by the edge of the road
With a brown paper bag to hold my clothes
But tonight Im going home where I belong
If the good lords willing and the creek dont rise
And if my luck holds out, and I catch me a ride
When the sun goes down tomorrow, I should be home
This big city aint no kind of place
For a country girl with a friendly face
If you smile people look at your funny, they take it wrong
They laugh at my talkin and clothes I wear
They put me down and they call me square
But tonight Im going home where I belong
Chorus:
Im goin back to the people I love
Back to the place that I dream of
Its true that theres no place like home sweet home
The one I want to see the most
Is the boy who begged me not to go
When the sun goes down tomorrow

Jack And Jill
this is not the usual story of Jack and Jill,
this is reality
welcome. Jack married Jill
in 1985
the first year was bliss
until the second year
when Jack
was so pressured
in his work
and Jill who was left at
home
got so bored with nothing
to do
except to listen
to Jack's shifting
towards the corners
of insanity
and then one day
Jill cooked Chinese noddles
for their wedding anniversary
which of course
she did not recall
but Jack still had it vivid
in his mind
the expensive wedding gown
the diamond ring
and flashy car
and the well attended
grand reception
Jack went wild
and throw the hot noddles
in Jill's face
Jill went to the U.S.
married a white man
Jack finally landed
in a mental asylum
The house where they once
lived
got burned
nothing remained
except the vacant lot
foreclosed by
the bank
sad
Jack and Jill
did not live happily everafter

Sonnet XLIII
The candor of the gods is in thy gaze,
The strength of Diane in thy virgin hand,
Commanding as the goddess might command,
And lead her lovers into higher ways.
Aye, the gods walk among us in these days,
Had we the docile soul to understand;
And me they visit in this joyless land,
To cheer mine exile and receive my praise.
For once, methinks, before the angels fell,
Thou, too, did follow the celestial seven
Threading in file the meads of asphodel.
And when thou comes here, lady, where I dwell,
The place is flooded with the light of heaven
And a lost music I remember well.
