We like our archetypes and heroes to be what they are at face value. And life doesn't work out like that.

Here In Higglytown
(Theme to Higglytown Heroes)
Here in Higglytown
Things all jump around
Just like the Higglytown heroes
(Our heroes)
They all work together
Making fun together
Come see the Higglytown heroes
Eubie, Wayne, Twinkle, Kip and Fran
All hop and pop around
Soon they'll learn about real heroes
Who and why and how
Now
Here in Higglytown
We'll all jump around
And meet the Higglytown heroes
(Our heroes)
We'll all work together
Having fun together
With all the Higglytown heroes
Let's all play together
Save the day together
Come join the Higglytown heroes

Young Heroes
Written by ricky & marty wilde
Everyone round keeps putting us down, let it go
It's the same old play in a grown up day
It's a stinging sensation
Hanging round on every corner
Where, all the young kids i know want to be
We only wanna stay young, we only wanna be free
He doesn't wanna be you, she doesn't wanna be me
We're all young heroes
We're all young heroes
Shouted down pushed and we're gettin' real bushed
Just have your say and we'll do it your way
If it makes you fell better
Nothing much to add to what i say
'cause i know just how it fells to be
We only wanna stay young, we only wanna be free
He doesn't wanna be you, she doesn't wanna be me
We're all young heroes
We're all young heroes
We only wanna be free

You Can't Make What Doesn't Work
You can't make what doesn't work,
For me exist.
If it is clear to me,
My life's just fine without it.
I want to say that,
You can't make what doesn't work...
For me exist.
When my happiness,
Doesn't depend on it.
I have my own beliefs,
That satisifies my every need.
The memories that I keep,
Reminds me how I stood...
Up on my own two feet.
No you can't make what doesn't work,
For me exist.
If with a faith I took risks,
And decided that my own life I would live.
I have my own beliefs,
That satisifies my every need.
The memories that I keep,
Reminds me how I got to stand up..
On my own two feet.
Oh...
You can't make what doesn't work,
For me exist.
If it is clear to me,
My life's just fine without it.
So, if it doesn't work for you,
Why do you wish to prove...
What it is that I do,
Is a waste of effort.
So, if it doesn't work for you,
Why do you wish to prove...
What it is that I do,
Is to me a disservice.
You can't make what doesn't work,
For me exist.
If it is clear to me,
My life's just fine without it.

Heroes
Written by david bowie
I I wish you could swim
Like the dolphins
Like dolphins can swim
Though nothing
Will keep us together
We can beat them
For ever and ever
Oh we can be heroes
Just for one day
I
I will be king
And you
You will be queen
Though nothing will
Drive them away
We can beat them
Just for one day
We can be heroes
Just for one day
I I can remember
Standing
By the wall
And the guns
Shot above our heads
And we kissed
As though nothing could fall
And the shame
Was on the other side
Oh we can beat them
For ever and ever
Then we can be heroes
Just for one day
We could be heroes
We could be heroes
We could be heroes
We could be heroes just one day

Just Because
Just because you did
Doesn't mean that you should
Just because you can
Doesn't mean that you could
Just because you are able
Doesn't mean you would
Just because you sat
Doesn't mean you should‘ve stood.
Just because you spoke
Doesn't mean that you thought
Just because you looked
Doesn't mean that you sought
Just because you argued
Doesn't mean that you fought
Just because you dreamed
Doesn't mean that you wished not.
Just because you cried
Doesn't mean that you wept
Just because you had
Doesn't mean that you kept
Just because you cleaned
Doesn't mean that you swept
Just because you said yes
Doesn't mean that you accept.
Just because you gathered
Doesn't mean that you own
Just because you gave up
Doesn't mean that you were alone
Just because you saw
Doesn't mean that you were shown
Just because you expiate
Doesn't mean you should atone.
Just because your old
Doesn't mean that you have flaws
Just because you won
Doesn't mean you have to applause
Just because you waited
Doesn't mean that you paused
Just because you were you
Doesn't mean anything, because.

Poker Face
Someone must have told him years ago that smiling is a crime
And I've never once heard him to laugh though I've known him for some time
He always wears a serious look they call him poker face
It would seem that in his sad heart for joy there isn't space.
He is not the type of person that one could talk to at length
But one thing he has going for him his silence is his strength
A batchelor in his fortieth year and that's how he will stay
In female company he seems lost and stuck for words to say.
He is one who doesn't work to live he lives for to work only
And he is one without a friend he must be very lonely
He doesn't smoke or drink or talk of sports his work his sole interest
But we all are different one must suppose we like what suits us best.
He always has a serious look he never laugh or smile
But he is an honest sort of a bloke free of conceit or guile
Apart from his job a hobby he doesn't have, a book he's never read
He rises before dawn for work and he goes early to bed.

Your Hero
The heroes of the masses they live for their renown
And the masses create their heroes and then drag their heroes down
And the masses are unpredictable they change from day to day
And some of their heroes like the Autumn flowers are quick to fade away.
Yet there are millions of unsung heroes and they live on every street
And every day a hero I feel privileged to meet
True heroes male and female yet by the masses unsung
The World is full of heroes of heroes old and young.
Some heroes of the masses are arrogant and proud
And their egos over-swollen from the adulation of the crowd
But give me the unsung heroes who go their own quiet way
Who out of the kindness of their hearts perform one good deed every day.
Many heroes of the masses are not heroes to me
Though every day I walk the street some true hero I do see
Your hero is chauffeur driven and drinks the most expensive wine
And you can have your hero but your hero isn't mine.

What is work?
What is work to you and me
Its different to everyone you see
To some housework doesn’t count
However much the washing pile keeps on mount
To others work would be looking after a child
But to some others would see this as work and wild
Everything in life can be seen as work or fun
Does it matter as long as whats needed gets done
Lovingly Do The Work
Work is
Life...
Life is work...
Any work is not
Wrong...
Without work is
Worng...
Human every budy works
Wny way too work...s
Work is making you...
Work is given good life
For you...and your's...
So...
Understand too work
Earn money too work...
Live life with your work...
Love too work...
Learn to do the work...
Lovingely do the work...

Heroes Dont Cry
Music :rudolf schenker
Lyrics:klaus meine
Heroes dont cry
Heroes dont cry
Standing here in front of you
A wave of joy and sadness fills the room
Your soul has crashed into a wall
Your world just broke to pieces after all
The days of your life
Leave the world standing outside
But you find the strength for a smile
Because heroes like you wouldnt cry
Heroes dont cry
Heroes dont cry
The judge decided its your right
To wake up from the dream of your life
The curtain is about to fall
No need for words, your eyes just say it all
The days of your life
Leave the world standing outside
You find the strength for a smile
Because heroes like you wouldnt cry
Heroes dont cry
There are days of your life
Leave the world standing outside
You find the strength for a smile
Because heroes like you wouldnt cry
Heroes dont cry
I cant forget that afternoon
So many times Ive been thinking of you
Im happy that youve decided to live
And what touches me most is what you said
Heaven can wait, can wait, can wait, ...

Work That Needs Doing… Later.
Work.
There is always work to be done.
Real work, busy work, work I make for myself.
But it doesn’t need doing right away.
And so I procrastinate.
It will bring stress later on
When it is multiplied.
But I’m okay with that.
Now, the real problem is
That I may take time now to relax and enjoy life,
But the thought of work still lingers
To trouble my mind
And prohibit relaxation.
And still I procrastinate.
Life Of Work
riding in the saddle
henchmen at your side
holy macaroni
hose you on your back
and the bystanders just stand there
like _____ on a shelf
in the world of work your rivals
that you have yet to meet
and quite a bunch they are
in the morning sun
with blinking eyes
the worthless stands
in readiness
for transport to
the battleground
there's dirty work
ahead of them
and quite a bunch they are
what do you do with a life of work?
what do you do with a life of work?
what do you do with a life of work?
face it in the morning
face it in the morning
and the parting of the ways
and the interrupted mirth
and the shock that has to come
because of what you want
compared to what you've got
meet it squarely
and it only hurts
when it hurts
life of work
early in the morning

Moses Hogan Rhapsody
What is wromg with Moses because he is one human being just like the Rest of us
But he doesn't seem to be so happy with himself those days
Maybe there are things that he is getting frustrared withis provet life
But what about outside his private Life?
He will not talk about his private life with anybody else at his work
Because work is a place to work and not socialize

White Boys & Heroes
Were in the movies
Were heroes
We sparkle at night
Love among puppets
And one day
Ill pull all the strings
White boys and heroes
White boys and heroes
See boys say Im mayhem
Was my wife the doctor
The patient
Or something obscene
A history of nothing
Like a see-through song in disguise
Heroes are tough
And have no time
For women and boys
I wont cry
Till this thing is over
And someone agrees
White boys and heroes
White boys and heroes
See boys say Im mayhem
White boys and heroes
We have no time for celebration
We have no time left at all
White boys and heroes

Heroes And Villains
I've been in this town so long that back in the city
I've been taken for lost and gone
And unknown for a long long time
Fell in love years ago
With an innocent girl
From the spanish and indian home
Home of the heroes and villains
Once at night catillian squared the fight
And she was right in the rain of the bullets that eventually brought her down
But she's still dancing in the night
Unafraid of what a dude'll do in a town full of heroes and villains
Heroes and villains
Just see what you've done
Heroes and villains
Just see what you've done
Stand or fall i know there
Shall be peace in the valley
And it's all an affair
Of my life with the heroes and villains
My children were raised
You know they suddenly rise
They started slow long ago
Head to toe healthy weathy and wise
I've been in this town so long
So long to the city
I'm fit with the stuff
To ride in the rough
And sunny down snuff i'm alright
By the heroes and
Heroes and villains
Just see what you've done
Heroes and villains
Just see what you've done

Face
She's got an iron will
She's gonna do what she thinks is right
I know she will
And as for me I'm not that silent
It's hard to live in a world this quiet
And if you want me to let you go
Well I think you should know
That I tried hard to live without you
But it doesn't work for me
And I tried not to think about you
But your in all my dreams
I can't stand living on my own
I can't stand staring into space
I hate that everything I see turns into your face
She left an empty house
Without a word, without a sound
Without a shout
And as for me I'm not that silent
It's hard to live in a world this quiet
And if you want me to let you go
Well I think you should know
That I tried hard to live without you
But it doesn't work for me
And I tried not to think about you
But your in all my dreams
I can't stand living on my own
I can't stand staring into space
I hate that everything I see turns into your face
My teary eyes have seen all I wanna see
Of the world
I tried hard to live without you
But it doesn't work for me
And I tried not to think about you
But your in all my dreams
I can't stand living on my own
I can't stand staring into space
I hate that everything I see turns into your face
Turns into your face

I do think that kids today miss out on a lot of those guidelines. Parents are always at work; school doesn't necessarily give the framework; politicians are all corruption and scandal; even sporting heroes are tainted with drugs and what have you. Rules are important for kids.
