It amazes me sometimes that even intelligent people will analyze a situation or make a judgement after only recognizing the standard or traditional structure of a piece.

Today, there are too many points of view of equal value and prestige, each showing the relativity of the other, to permit us to take any one position and to regard it as impregnable and absolute. Only this socially disorganized intellectual situation makes possible the insight, hidden until now by a generally stable social structure and the practicability of certain traditional norms, that every point of view is particular to a social situation.

I need not tell you that the world situation is very serious. That must be apparent to all intelligent people. I think one difficulty is that the problem is one of such enormous complexity that the very mass of facts presented to the public by press and radio make it exceedingly difficult for the man in the street to reach a clear appraisement of the situation. … it is of vast importance that our people reach some general understanding of what the complications really are, rather than react from a passion or a prejudice or an emotion of the moment. … It is virtually impossible at this distance merely by reading, or listening, or even seeing photographs or motion pictures, to grasp at all the real significance of the situation. And yet the whole world of the future hangs on a proper judgment. It hangs, I think, to a large extent on the realization of the American people, of just what are the various dominant factors. What are the reactions of the people? What are the justifications of those reactions? What are the sufferings? What is needed? What can best be done? What must be done?

It Amazes Me
This song appears on four albums, and was first released on the I want to live album. it has been released on the rocky mountain collection, the country roads collection and the country classics
Ms.
You came looking for the answers
To some questions on his mind
Seeking truth and understanding
In the hope that he would find
A way to better serve his brothers
And his sisters in the sun
Sharing all that he has given
Giving all to everyone
Come and listen to the story
Of a journey once begun
Of a people and their plenty
And their season in the sun
And how they gave themselves to symbols
And things that they could hold
Living lives in desperation
In the fear of letting go
It amazes me
And I know the wind will surely one day
Blow it all away
It amazes me
And Im so very grateful that you made the world this way
For our plans have come together now
Where do we go from here
Will our differences divide us
Must we always live in fear
For there are things that we must move through
Some things to cast aside
But our father watches over us
Our mother will provide
It amazes me
And I know the wind will someday surely
Blow it all away
It amazes me
And Im so very grateful that you made the world this way
It amazes me
It amazes me
It amazes me

The greatest discoveries have come from people who have looked at a standard situation and seen it differently.
Like Life
It amazes me how it can work
so perfectly
and naturally
How sometimes rhymes come
as if pre-designed
And the rhythm of the words
Like a flock of birds
One leads and the others follow
Without question
It amazes me how it can work
so poignantly
To describe the undefined
Like eternity
It amazes me how it can work
so beautifully
And mysteriously
Like life

Why Those Battles Between Them Persist Without End
I am not one to analyze or bring to judgement,
The misdeeds done by those now dead.
Or correct with facts those deceits done,
To shed bright light upon that which has been said.
There is nothing in it for me,
To declare a victory.
However,
I am one to speak from my own experiences...
About those implications that were fed to devastate.
And reason and causes of those effects,
That have left divisions needing mending...
From an implementing by those dead,
To have those they disliked...
Tossing without sleep in their beds at night.
A healing from wrongs to make them right,
Has to take place to stop needless fights.
And what is there to gain to maintain conflicts?
By the ones living unable to comprehend...
Why those battles between them persist without end.
I am not one to analyze or bring to judgement,
The misdeeds done by those now dead.
Or correct with facts those deceits done,
To shed bright light upon that which has been said.
There is nothing in it for me,
To declare a victory.
'Why are you fighting?
And what purpose does it serve? '
~Because it's...
Because it is a,
Well...
Because! ~
And there is absolutely nothing in it for you,
To continue blindly doing those things you do...
Because of tradition?
What is your definition of that tradition?
And those living to defend it?
Why can't you respond for a meaning of it to mention.
Or know where to begin.
Since many traditions held today...
Have proven to make little if any sense!
To declare what is your tradition?
To maintain one's right to remain ignorant?
'Lower your weapons.
I'm just asking you a question.'

Triumph Of The Will
It was a thing I had to do
It was a message from below
It was a messy situation
It was desire for a girl
Im not a wanker or a banker
Im not afraid to take a risk
It is the thing females ask for
When they convey the opposite
* before I die
Before I die
Before I die
Ill get another piece of pie
Ill get another piece of pie
Ill get another piece of pie
If I have to lie
It was a thing I had to do
It was a message from below
It was a messy situation
It was a triumph of the will
( * repeat)
When the well cries out for water
It is a need that must be filled
It goes beyond the laws of nature
It takes a triumph of the will

I'm a man
I'm a man
clothed in mystic, power and structure
labeled by the socialization
after arrival
arrival on a land
of picturesque terrain
that changes with the land holder
but I was taught
everything, nothing, something
and
not the make of the chromosomes
that I could
cry, cry, cry
and
still be a man of substance
I'm a man
clothed in mystic, power and structure
labeled by the socialization
after arrival
who did not see the same
landmark for the sexes
A man meant power
born of a woman
given different definitions,
interpretations and signals
not a biological inscription
but one cultural defined
no softness, tenderness and finesse
a man like beast is product of that mould
tagged manhood, male, dominance
and power
I'm a man
clothes in mystic, power and structure
labeled by the socialization
and if I object
a new label I hold
a man of effeminate make
yet I should be
a father who cares, cuddles, protects
a standard of immense hypocrisy
a frame fashioned in contradictions
a man, manhood
with no rationality
a man that is make for the
slaughter
a man made for the alter of sacrifice
a man who with
one sex
having two genealogy

Not Only Can Stun But Shock
It amazes me,
How a few dollars...
Can change one's perception.
Or a title one is given.
Or where one goes to school,
To receive a degree.
It amazes me,
What one wears on one's back...
Indicates to some,
Where that person's mind is at.
Or where one lives suggests,
Someone has hygiene.
And that is daily addressed.
Or what one drives,
Has a lesser need for gasoline.
Or the person that drives a nice car...
Can afford to buy groceries.
It amazes me...
How some folks judge other folks,
By skin color alone.
And how some folks with the same skin tone...
Dislike themselves,
Or siblings they can't condone.
Or those living on the same street who don't even speak.
And these same folks attend the same church...
To hear a preacher sermonize about sin,
And communal unity!
It amazes me how ignorance expressed,
Receives more respect than someone with intelligence.
It amazes me how decadence is praised.
And those who choose to worship it...
Are the ones of sleaze,
Who sit on pedestals raised!
This,
Not only can stun...
But shock anyone,
Who has been awakened from an unconsciousness!

People are selfish
"People are selfish and oriented" book had nice quote
We sometimes let it go even though it seems with sugar coat
We like words uttered in praise
Even though we know it means start of bad phase
We should know what is right and wrong for us
We should never follow any one and blindly trust
People are far more intelligent than what we think
Their deeds can not be put on page with ink
It is said if you give little finger
They will try to hold hand altogether
They will demand more if shown little favor once
Next time they come determined and take another chance
It is human nature and search for people to accommodate
It is common concern for people to share and relate
But if no avenue is open in tense situation
Then there prevails uncertainty and confusion
By hook or crook you try to secure a passage
The situation is so tight that you are unable to manage
It has become do or die situation and got to be through
The only option available is either to pursue or woo
It is difficult to secure any kind of loan unconditionally
It an be obtained from friends occasionally
It spoils the relation later on as we fail to return
Now it proves headache for friend in turn
Try to avoid monetary exchange among relatives
Even if that is unavoidable then make it subjective
Think of bad risk always and forget as soon as given
But if relation is spoiled then nothing will be forgiven

Depend upon yourself. Make your judgement trustworthy by trusting it. You can develop good judgement as you do the muscles of your body - by judicious, daily exercise. To be known as a man of sound judgement will be much in your favor.

Over Our Heads
I don't think you love me
Confusion settling in
I don't think I'll be staying
Around here, anymore
There's no question that I love you
But I'm living in my own time
And here I am debating
Whether I'm wrong, or right
Who am I
To make a judgement of
Your life
I'm only
Passing by
Passing by
All the promises I gave you
Helped me to survive
And all the times I wished you'd save me
You were the love of my life
Who am I
To make a judgement of
Your life
I'm only
Passing by
Passing by
Who am I
To make a judgement of
Your life
I'm only
Passing by
Passing by
Who am I
To make a judgement of
Your life
I'm only
Passing by
Passing by
I'm only passing by ...

Judgement Day
Its my life, get off my ass, get outta my face
Man, I dont see no problem
Kickin back, aint kickin you, no, no
Anyway, if I make em, then I solve em
Oh, thats right, yeah, whew
Makin plans s a waste, aint no future here
Got no face, got no religion
Oh tell me why should I care or even, why should I try?
I just slide, slide on by, never bad enough to crucify me
Cry! put it out until judgement day
Ill bear the cross on judgement day
I do most anything, keep em doing anything, cos
Sometimes I just wanna do nothin
Nothin lost, tell me, how can I lose
When Im startin off with nothin
Oh tell me why should I care or even, why try?
I just slide, slide on by, never bad enough to crucify me
Oh! put it out until judgement day
Ill bear that same old cross on judgement day
Oh! hey!
(solo)
Hey man, anythings alright. yeah!
Wow! put it out until judgement day
Ill bear the cross on judgement day
Put it out, put it out until judgement day
Ill bear the cross on judgement day
Oh! whoa, yeah, on judgement day
Oh! whoa, yeah, on judgement day
Wow!

Protecting Integrities
Why would I have interest,
In someone who's main objective...
Is to whore around.
Even an embryo would know,
Sound judgement is absent...
Especially if that decision became effective,
With a 'yes' that is accepted.
And consent is passed?
For a piece of...attention!
Some people rush into these arrangements.
And with no consideration at all.
Of someone's feelings, objectives or politcal affiliation.
However...
There are those like myself who have had a few flings,
And a couple of one night stands.
Perhaps several 'quickies' too!
But that's not the point I am making here.
I did and still do not consider myself a 'whore'.
And 'that' is the big difference in one's perception,
As to what is done. Services delivered. And attitude.
Prior to any 'admitted' whorish activities being exchanged,
One has to clarify the situation AND interpret the involvement...
On a needs to know which needs are being pleased basis!
With the acknowledgement of protecting integrities.
