All of us, whether or not we are warriors, have a cubic centimeter of chance that pops out in front of our eyes from time to time. The difference between an average man and a warrior is that the warrior is aware of this, and one of his tasks is to be alert, deliberately waiting, so that when his cubic centimeter pops out he has the necessary speed, the prowess, to pick it up.

Warrior
Wasnt there a time
When no one lived in pain
Zero down to zero
But a warrior
The innocence of birth
The power of the earth
Out of all thats good
Comes a warrior
Time - is it you who changes minds
Suing us - for something weve not done
Stealing the heroes - all the guiding lights, to find the way
Justice has been gone
To pieces for so long
Some killers call themselves
A warrior
Warriors with no pride
Committing suicide
The picture of a man
Thats your warrior
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
Think about the time
Where manhood promised pride
And history was made
Just by warriors
We have to face the world
And hope that someones heard
Who could replace a man
Like the warrior
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
Time - is it you who changes minds
Suing us - for something weve not done
Stealing the heroes - all the guiding lights, to find the way
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
cause hes a warrior..........

Average Guy
I aint no christian or no born again saint
I aint no cowboy or marxist d.a.
I aint no criminal or reverend cripple from the right
I am just your average guy, trying to do whats right
Im just your average guy
An average guy
I am just your average guy
Im just an average guy
Average guy, Im just your average guy
Im average looking and Im average inside
Im an average lover and I live in an average place
You wouldnt know me if you met me face to face
Im just your average guy
Average guy
Average guy
Im just an average guy
I worry about money and taxes and such
I worry that my livers big and it hurts to the touch
I worry about my health and bowels
And the crime waves in the street
Im really just your average guy
Trying to stand on his own two feet
Im just your average guy
Im just your average guy
Im just your average guy
Average guy
Average looks, average taste
Average height, an average waist
Average in everything I do
My temperature is 98.2
Im just your average guy
An average guy
Average guy
Im just an average guy
Average guy
Im just your average guy
Im just your average guy
Im just your average guy

To Make A Difference!
take your finger from the trigger,
lay down your gun...
you have a chance to make a difference....
make the right choice!
lower your hand, soften your voice,
let go of your anger...
you have a chance to make a difference...
make the right choice!
put down your checkbook, close the register,
do something you really feel....
you have a chance to make a difference....
make the right choice!
throw out your pill bottle and your pipe,
stand up and face life....
you have a chance to make a difference...
make the right choice!
turn off your tv and your computer,
get involved with someone in need....
you have a chance to make a difference....
make the right choice!
lay down your judgements and your pride,
see people as just people....
you have a chance to make a difference....
make the right choice!

Not That [Part one to 'The Other Poem']
You think that
You're smart
I can see it in your eyes
You aren't
Not that I am
I've been called 'Miss State-The-Obvious'
More than once
I have refrained
From understanding
A joke
More than once
I have gotten a report card
With straight Fs
More than once
The difference between us
Is that
I'm just average
And you're
Just ignorant
Not that ignorance
Isn't
Average
But that's
A whole
Other
Poem.

There is a huge difference between journalism and advertising. Journalism aspires to truth. Advertising is regulated for truth. I'll put the accuracy of the average ad in this country up against the average news story any time.

There Is a Time To.....
There is.......
A time to write,
A time to listen,
A time to learn,
A time to play,
A time to read,
A time to see,
A time to lead,
A time to sleep,
A time to be happy,
A time to be mad,
A time to be silly,
A time to be sad.
A time to wake,
A time to stay,
A time to talk,
A time to walk.
A time to help,
A time to hurt,
A time to scheme,
A time to dream,
A time to make a difference,
A time to love,
A time to try,
A time to die
A time to wonder,
A time to want,
A time to live,
A time to do something.
There is always going to be a time,
But will you do something when that time comes?

Never Given A Chance To Happen
It would have made a difference,
If those experienced and willing...
To volunteer their time,
To secure the cementing of foundations...
Were regarded as friends.
And not threats to suspect of wanting,
To flaunt special attention given.
It would have made a difference,
If those who had nothing...
Accepted someone with something to give,
As a benefit to the environment.
With an advantage for all.
Instead of someone to ignore...
Defaming with a smearing campaign,
In a hope to see them fall.
It would have made a difference,
To the ones who now...
Have surrounded themselves,
In surmounting conflicts...
Creating their mental and physical ailments.
It would have made a difference,
If mindsets were connected...
To a discipline respected.
It would have made a difference,
But that difference...
Was never given a chance to happen.
It would have made a difference,
If opportunities presented...
Were recognized.
It would have made the difference!
But it didn't!

Chap's Centimeter
Chap’s centimeter—
Longer, higher
Unreachable by
A mile from where
We are
The sins that
Mothers hush up
Keep the children
At the school—
Worried, disturbed
Chap’s centimeter—
Deeper, stronger
Misunderstood by
Intelligent minds
In the stock market
And church and government—
The treasures that
Mothers earn
Are kept safely
In the bank
Chap’s centimeter—
Darker, bluer
Unseen by
Travelers of tomorrow
Raised a money
Borrowed from none
Their strength is strength
Of one man—
He that kills courage
Is not a brave man

We Got The
Who got the chance to make things right?
Why the politicians always want to fight?
The Christian coalition and the right wing ooooh!
Let me tell you what you can do
Step outside the cone of silence
Too much hatred and violence
It's time to rewind
We need a military decline
Got the power of the mind focused
Government like a locust
Are we gone or just going?
Time to act on what we be knowinh y'all
Who got the power to make a difference?
Who got the power to make a change?
Who got the power to make a difference?
We got the
We got the
We got the
Eyes on the prize and never wane
Take the bull by the reins
If you want it be the change
Like Ghandi and MLK
Wait up, got to change the system
Need knowledge, power and wisdom
Same way I rock this microphone
Speak up, just let it be known
Hey ladies, fellas
And everyone between
Take the power back, let them react
And let's show them what we mean; Check it out
Who got the power to make a difference?
Who got the power to make a change?
Who got the power to make a difference?
We got the
We got the
We got the
We can work, walk, march and protest
Think about how we approach this
Ask questions but they keep frontin'
Due time we change a little something
Hey yo don't you know
Won't forget Amaduous Diallo
To the crooked people and the crooked cops
Got to spread love before the world goes pop
Never again should we use the A-bomb
We need an international ban on
all W.O.M.D.'s gone
We need a multilateral disarm
Who got the power to make a difference?
Who got the power to make a change?
Who got the power to make a difference?
We got the
We got the
We got the

The Biggest Crime is Killing Time
Reading is my past time
Time and rhyme
Sound the same
For us time is nothing
For them it's everything
That's the difference
We have no chance
But only and unless
We ban the crime
Of wasting time.

Warrior, He
Happy is the warrior he
When he journeys in the world of men
To provide for is family
And no one else, but them.
Happy He is those tired nights.
Happy is a warrior wife.
Happy is a warrior man
When he has shelter to rest his head
And when he uses his own two hands
To bring the food, so his family is fed.
So proudly he stand so strait and tall.
As he Fiercely battles vowing not to fall.
A warrior man is that special breed
When he enters the world of man
As he asks for nothing which is free
And takes what only he can.
Though not by lying, stealing or request.
But by hard work, bleeding and sweat.
Happy is the warrior he
When he greets each and every day
When from his home he does leave
To earn himself respect and pay.
Happy he is when he earns respect.
Happy he is when he tires from sweat.
And when it is a warriors time to leave
And he is buried all alone
He shall then enter heaven proud and free
Happy and peaceful, will be his soul.
For he knows on earth he done his best.
And now he deserves his final rest.
Happy is the Lord he
When he calls away a warrior man
For he shall then plant another seed
To bring forth two more working hands.
And he will sweat, and stand as a tree.
And how I wish I was the warrior he.

My Aztec Warrior
My Aztec warrior,
Will you protect me?
My Aztec warrior,
Will you save me?
My Aztec warrior,
Will you love me?
My Aztec warrior,
Will you obey me?
My Aztec warrior,
Will you help me?
My Aztec warrior,
Will you be there for me?
My Aztec warrior,
Are you strong?
My Aztec warrior,
Are you brave?
My Aztec warrior,
Are you fierce?
My Aztec warrior,
Will you stay by my side,
Or will you leave me,
Like everyone else...

Wait A Little While
Heres a sweet september morning, theres the sense of autumn on the rise
He steps into the wind and sadly sighs
Why does it always seem to be, theres a cold december wind in front of me?
The more he fills his empty evenings
The less he feels that theres a chance to find
Something that can bring a peace of mind
Is there a place where you can go?
A little something you should know to turn the tide to your favor?
Chorus:
Wait a little while to welcome what youre after
Give it the time to find its way to you
And soon as you no longer try, youll turn and find it standing by your side
Come and get it, when you let it, itll come to you
(instrumental break)
Chorus (with staring in your eyes)
When I run short on inspiration, I best recall what Ive known all along
n I remember sweet septembers song, there never really has to be
A cold and bitter wind in front of me anymore
Chorus (with staring in your eyes)
Just forget it and wait a little while, while, while
Wait a little while, everything will come to you in time
Wait a little while - everything will come to you in time
Wait a little while - every little things gonna come to you in time
Wait a little while - everything will come to you in time
Wait a little while - everything will come to you in time
Wait a little while

What's The Difference
I still feel pain
I still cry
Twenty -four hours
Make a day
What's the difference?
The nights so quiet
I still hear my heart beat
And when I hurt
I still bleed
What's the difference?
Six years I was sober
And the grass is still green
But now I smoke weed
Will it make me normal?
I can't tell
What's the difference?
There will be those
Who don't see it my way
And those who are prisoners
Of themselves
I can't tell
Are they normal, if not
What's the difference
I'm leaving soon
As scared as I came
And given some time
I'll have problems again
But this time around
I know
What the difference is

Warriors
Warriors
Horses and warriors
Shields and amour
Fighting for a cause
Avoiding as much loss
Shedding blood is a must
Battles must be fought and won on the battlefield
How many men will be killed?
For a country
For a nation
For self belief
Spears and shields
Tools of war
Making history
Alliance and victory
A treasured sword
Held by a courageous man
Known by his name as warrior
Failure is not an option
A countries pride is at stake
Bows and arrows
Fighting for a name
Decorated with strings of fame
A man must do what he must
Even if it is for a mediocre cause
Now wars are won and fought with guns
The true warriors are the thinkers and not the fighters
The true warrior is not the man who dies
But the one who stays alive
The one who can plan and strategise
Analyse and fantasies a vision which is bound to come true

A Warrior Has Come Home
Waiting all this time for that one warrior,
Challenges through these hard times
Crying and being alone at night,
Her warrior has finally come home.
His life meaningless before,
Day after day
Same routine.
The warrior has finally come home.
The things he has seen
No one will ever know
The cries he has heard
No one will ever hear.
Children in the future
Will never know the pain and fear
Never encounter the enemy
They will be free.
Today,
A parade travels through the city
People showing respect and loyalty,
A warrior has come home.
The end of the parade has finally come,
They lower the casket
With tears in her eyes,
A friend says a few words.
This warrior was brave.
Served his country
No regards to his life
He found peace and meaning to his life.
Shots were heard all over the city,
Heads are bowed in respect for the warrior
Prayers are sent up above
For the warrior who has finally come home.
Tribal
Chorus:
Tribal warriors!
Where do you stand in this battle cry tribal soldier?
Represent I and I jah jah warriors!
Repeat 4x
The reconstruction commences.
The soldiers equip for the lessons.
My life, a sacrifice is made new through these confessions.
Manifested, this joy is my desire.
Light this fire to flames.
Praise the name jehovah jireh.
Is my provider the truth that lives inside this fighter?
Take me higher, master, sire makes me a good rider.
Im gonna ride on down til I break through the front lines,
And aint going home until I gets mines.
Chorus:
Tribal warriors!
Where do you stand in this battle cry tribal soldier?
Represent I and I jah jah warriors!
Repeat 4x
I grab ahold of my second chance.
This time Im gonna make it last.
Left the world, came back an outcast.
To lay among the remains,
Through the trials and the pains.
Run for cover, make shelter, uncharted terrains.
Bloodstains light the paths to the ways of living breath.
My soul is put to the test.
Blessed with a mic in my hand.
Jah make straight my steps.
Then I hooked up with payable on death.
We flow in unity.
Stand in one while the foolish be,
Lost in this hour.
With power we have authority,
To overcome while these cowards just pick up and run.
Well we aint done til this battle has been fought and won.
This vitory, how sweet it be, is already ours.
Holding the stars, is the man that carries my scars.
Always the same, wear his name with no shame.
Here in this battle cry, we will never die.
We will never die tribal warriors
We will never die
We will never die tribal warriors
We will never die
We will never die
We will never die
I want to know!
Chorus:
Where do you stand in this battle cry tribal soldier?
Represent I and I jah jah warriors!
Repeat 4x

Your Love Is So Hard
Date line: 1989
I thought I was your lover wild
But U treat me like a step-child
I waited by the telephone
I knew U weren't alone
U wait until it's Friday night
And U call me up and start a fight
Say U and me ain't workin' out
But U'll be free on Sunday, what's this all about?
I don't know, baby, who U think I am
I'm not your average every day simple Sam
I could have a dozen others if I choose
But no other mama will do
Your love is so hard
Your love, your love is so hard
Baby, I like it
I thought we were the perfect match
U were so fine, such a catch
Nights were nasty, days were hot
I gave it all and in return, dogged is what I got
I don't know, baby, who U think I am
I'm not your average every day simple Sam
I could have a dozen others if I choose
But no other mama will do
Your love is so hard
Your love, your love is so hard
Baby, I like it
Date line: 1989
Come here baby, it's time
Hey girl, U've been hurt before
Gimme a chance, don't slam the door
Brown lover, funky M
I come 2 play, not 2 swim
OK, roll over
(1989)
Don't be so hard
Sugar, U'd be missin' everything in life
Don't be so hard
Ooh baby, maybe U could be my wife
Now say it again... uh, hard
I don't know, baby, who U think I am (Believe me, U be)
I'm not your average everyday simple Sam (Uh, ooh, hard)
I could have a dozen others if I choose (Ooh baby)
No other mama will do
Your love is so hard
Your love, your love is so hard
Baby, I like it
Enough
Funky M
I don't know, baby, who U think I am
I'm not your average everyday simple Sam
I could have a dozen others if I choose (Date line: 1989)
No other mama will do (It's time)
Your love is so hard
Date line: 1989
(I don't, I don't know)
It's time U get enough
It's time U get, it's time U get, time U get, time U get enough
And U'll be beggin' "Please, don't be so hard"
(1989)
Your love is, your love is so hard (19.. 19.. 19..)
Your love is so hard (1989)
Please don't waste precious time (1989)
Your love, your love, your is so hard (19.. 19.. 19..)
Your love is so hard (1989)
Your love is so hard
