Robert Burns

Epigram at Roslin Inn

My blessings on ye, honest wife!
I ne'er was here before;
Ye've wealth o' gear for spoon and knife-
Heart could not wish for more.
Heav'n keep you clear o' sturt and strife,
Till far ayont fourscore,
And while I toddle on thro' life,
I'll ne'er gae by your door!

CLEANSED

Love cleansed today dreams interplay
complete, spoon, fork and knife,
derides dismay, lined cares which prey
upon brief Beauty’s life.

From disarray love’s here to stay,
towards joy’s light may trace
convincing way, chase cares which weigh
down those who change fear face.

Keep open door, no bad blood pour,
tomorrows true touch base,
hope sets fair score where scope’s shared core
united future grace.

Concord and cheer won’t disappear
when feelings interface
with someone near, who clear will hear
heart, comfort, share embrace.

Thus, change of gear, dissolve false fear,
it seems in any case
enchantment here may re-appear,
admit acceptance, space.

Life’s new frontier in this New Year
lost voice shall now replace,
from drear nights’ wear to fresh light steer,
heartease naught may displace.

Love’s Future Fare

Love yesterday seemed interplay
complete, spoon, fork and knife
that scorned dismay, false on fears does prey
to threaten Beauty’s life.

But try today to feel a way
towards the light don’t trace
heart’s disarray, the fears which weigh,
the weary tears, disgrace.

Don’t close white door let blood red poor
with future fair touch base!
if traitor’s core is known before
tomorrow you may face.

When drugs and beer both disappear
soon feelings interface
with someone near, who clear will hear
heart, comfort and embrace.

So, change of gear, dissolve false fear,
it seems in any case
resentment here needs disappear,
leave hope for scope and space.

Life new frontier will find, my Dear,
Death’s shadow shall replace,
all nights austere to fresh light steer
there’s other fish to chase!

The Last Poem Shall Tinker With Mood And Meaning

silence silenced, and dreams dreamt,
and the speaker that listens upon the beatings of his heart
like a little drum inside his chest.
it is this resounding. this re-echoing
that like a spoon and knife to a porcelain plate
tinkers with the meat and beans,
segregating, and choosing little things
in colors and smell, and swallowing some and
throwing out the rest of what we
like to have inside us. sorrow and pain.
joy and bliss. yours and mine. you and i.

these are categories that we see and feel,
and care and care less and choose.
we tinker with mood. we like always to choose,
and discriminate, the spoon is a spoon and the fork is a fork.
and the knife that cuts,
we are careful enough. There is meaning now.
Blood drops out from your veins, and some beans
turn red. You cull out, what you want to believe.
you leave and carry with you
what is painless. That is as simple as that.

more or less, either/or. write the name of the person
that you love. Burn those that hurt you. Close the door.
Open the window. See the sun. And let always the moon
to kiss you by your window. It does not know what a door is.

Kiss The Knife

its stupid for me
to let u back in my life
but i cant go no more
without kissing the knife

i know i made u made
i shall pay the price
but all i wanna do is.....
kiss the knife

u can stab me in my back
but i can take that
what makes me feel right
is a kiss to the knife

sharpiest knife in the draw
there is my knife out the door
kiss the knife goodbye

it cut me open
n i gave it my heart my life
i want you back
kiss the knife

After School (Villanelles)

Don’t think that school’s the hardest time in life.
You will graduate soon but don’t forget.
Believe, Believe do not end it in strife.

Some people will deal with it with a knife,
Because they are scared to try to forget.
Don’t think that school’s the hardest time in life.

Others might get rich and have a good life,
But it could end up in a huge regret.
Believe, Believe do not end it in strife.

Few may stay single in Gods way of life,
They will find happiness they won’t forget
Don’t think that school’s the hardest time in life.

Most have a fine job and a loving wife.
Someone to go home to and be a set
Believe, Believe do not end it in strife.

For you who don’t take the bad way in life,
Will be happy and never have regret.
Don’t think that school’s the hardest time in life.
Believe, Believe do not end it in strife.

a Distressful day finds me

a Distressful day finds me
and at work
the air conditioner is on
and I am catching flue
from a colleague.

At a robot a oversized trailer
hits me against the leg,
while the truck thug
turns with purpose wider than his lane
and drives away into intractability.

At the front gate
the motorbike’s gear leaver
comes loose
and I can find no gear.

Kyla belches and I hear
that my darling is away with her
to make a end
to her life.

When the car stops at the back door.
I know that God
answers prayers
and see that our big old black dog
is still alive,
as no vet
could find a vain on her
and her tail swings to and thro
when she sees me
and in a day or two
she’s well again.

Thank You For Who You Are In Your Heart = Tom!

The shameless hunger for power, wealth and revenge
Therefore a cruel messenger will be sent to their door.
People who justify immoral behavior
Shall be measured by their misdeeds before.

Fools listen eagerly to the words of the pathetic
Who's mission in life is the corruption of man.
Where the righteous overrule the wicked of heart
Challenging Satan's dominance and command.

Better is the heart filled with love and quietness
Than one that feasts on the loudness of strife.
Angry hearts fan the flames of failure
Eager to reject God's blessings of life.

God's test of hearts dates back to Adam
When Eve picked fruit from the forbidden tree.
Tempted by Satan they lost God's grace
Revealing weakness to be punished by Thee.

Happy hearts prosper on what is truthful and good
Where dishonored ones fester and rot to the bone.
Life charts our course but God guides our way
As His wisdom and love become our own.

Silver Spoon

Silver spoon,
I was born with non
And I have to make one
Even if it cost my life
I will strive
And pay the price.
Watever they like
Let they say
In my heart, I still pray.

My unevent life
Frought with strife,
And now, all I seemed
To have achieved is life
Sweet life, I can't let go,
So good I have hope.

Sexy Shame

Rotten right down to the core
Born in to a whore of no more
Stunted to a mind of no explore
Trust in life is twisted & tore

Forever left out in the street
Flaunting for somebody to greet
All playing to the same old beat
Running from a bold badge of heat

Heart pierced with sharp edge knife
Will never escape this nasty ass life
Hope is all lost in being a loving wife
A prayer to forgive this life of strife

Alexander Pope

To Mrs. M. B. On Her Birthday

Oh be thou blest with all that Heav'n can send,
Long Health, long Youth, long Pleasure, and a Friend:
Not with those Toys the female world admire,
Riches that vex, and Vanities that tire.
With added years if Life bring nothing new,
But, like a Sieve, let ev'ry blessing thro',
Some joy still lost, as each vain year runs o'er,
And all we gain, some sad Reflection more;
Is that a Birth-Day? 'tis alas! too clear,
'Tis but the funeral of the former year.
Let Joy or Ease, let Affluence or Content,
And the gay Conscience of a life well spent,
Calm ev'ry thought, inspirit ev'ry grace.
Glow in thy heart, and smile upon thy face.
Let day improve on day, and year on year,
Without a Pain, a Trouble, or a Fear;
Till Death unfelt that tender frame destroy,
In some soft Dream, or Extasy of joy,
Peaceful sleep out the Sabbath of the Tomb,
And wake to Raptures in a Life to come.

Forms of Wealth

To money is attributed wealth
But the open truth of wealth
Is, It is not the only kind of wealth—
There are also other forms of wealth!

Good health is the best form of wealth
Forging rich links in relationships is wealth
Spontaneous love for all life forms is wealth
To have enthusiasm in life is wealth.

Acquiring life-long learning is wealth
Experience and wisdom in life is wealth
Meeting new people is also wealth
Visiting new places too is authentic wealth.

The quest to explore something is wealth
To have a positive mind-set is wealth
Existence of deep internal peace is wealth
Early morning waking up with joy is wealth.

Possessing high self-respect is wealth
Having strong spiritual connection is wealth
There exist so many types of wealth
Constitute all these and you're with full wealth!

My Christmas Angel

My Christmas angel is always my wife
Who loves me with patience of heart.
I couldn’t replace her with anyone else
As beautiful, compassionate and smart.

She lets me know when I’m inappropriate
Or when I’ve earned her favor and love.
She stays in control of my need for a woman
As I serve her and my Father above.

I never neglect to thank Heaven and God
For her love and our blessings from Him.
My angel of love is my wife at Christmas
As we adorn our tree to a Christian hymn.

When I think of life without her presence
I become fearful, upset and cry.
I love her more than life itself
Overwhelmingly till I die.

To Our Son With Love

on august 26th in the year ninteen fifty three
god and my wife gave a son to me
a special son we knew from the start
and from that day on joy has filled my heart
our teachings about values, honesty and life
were installed but mostly by my wife
our son was a blessing
a gift from above
his special charm, thoughfulness
and especially his love
his efforts and determation
to obtain his goal
we watched with pride
as they did unfold
now as a man and a father himself
his wife and children
are more precious than wealth
so remember our son
as you open each new door
as much as we love you
GOD loves you more

What Shall I Rhyme With My Life?

shall i rhyme my life with a fife?
nope

nope
or a greiff, rife, slife, streiff, ?
no, no, no.
what about a strife?
definitely not.

i rhyme my life
with my wife

and not with the knife.

Let Us All Offer Thanksgiving (FREEDOM)

Let us all offer thanksgiving,
For Freedom has come to us;
It's after ages that she has beamed
Her radiance on us.

In western climes Freedom comes
With a shower of light and grace,
But dry, sterile thunder is all
She has for our own soil.

Poverty and starvation,
Repression and lawlessness, -
It's with these happy blessings
That she has come to us.

Freedom, being of heavenly birth,
Can't move from door to door;
You'll find her camping in the homes
Of a chosen few alone.

She says she will not tolerate
Any wealth in private hands;
That's why they are wringing capital
Out of the hands of everyone.

There's mourning in every house
But in sequestered bowers
Our rulers, like bridegrooms,
Are in Alliance win Freedom.

Nabir Sheikh knows what Freedom means,
For his wife was whisked away.
He went on complaining until
She bore Freedom in a new home !

They searched her armpits seven times
To see if she was hiding rice;
In a basket covered with a shawl
The peasant's wife brought Freedom home.

There's restlessness in every heart,
But no one dare speak out -
Afraid that with their free expression
Freedom may be annoyed.

To A Young Gentleman In Love. A Tale

From publick Noise and factious Strife,
From all the busie Ills of Life,
Take me, My Celia, to Thy Breast;
And lull my wearied Soul to Rest:
For ever, in this humble Cell,
Let Thee and I, my Fair One, dwell;
None enter else, but Love—and He
Shall bar the Door, and keep the Key.

To painted Roofs, and shining Spires
(Uneasie Seats of high Desires)
Let the unthinking Many croud,
That dare be Covetous and Proud:
In golden Bondage let Them wait,
And barter Happiness for State:
But Oh! My Celia, when Thy Swain
Desires to see a Court again;
May Heav'n around This destin'd Head
The choicest of it's Curses shed:
To sum up all the Rage of Fate,
In the Two Things I dread and hate;
May'st Thou be False, and I be Great.

Thus, on his Celia's panting Breast,
Fond Celadon his Soul exprest;
While with Delight the lovely Maid
Receiv'd the Vows, She thus repaid:
Hope of my Age, Joy of my Youth,
Blest Miracle of Love and Truth!
All that cou'd e'er be counted Mine,
My Love and Life long since are Thine:
A real Joy I never knew;
'Till I believ'd Thy Passion true:
A real Grief I ne'er can find;
'Till Thou prov'st Perjur'd or Unkind.
Contempt, and Poverty, and Care,
All we abhor, and all we fear,
Blest with Thy Presence, I can bear.
Thro' Waters, and thro' Flames I'll go,
Suff'rer and Solace of Thy Woe:
Trace Me some yet unheard-of Way,
That I Thy Ardour may repay;
And make My constant Passion known,
By more than Woman yet has done.

Had I a Wish that did not bear
The Stamp and Image of my Dear;
I'd pierce my Heart thro' ev'ry Vein,
And Die to let it out again.
No: Venus shall my Witness be,
(If Venus ever lov'd like Me)
That for one Hour I wou'd not quit
My Shepherd's Arms, and this Retreat,
To be the Persian Monarch's Bride,
Part'ner of all his Pow'r and Pride;
Or Rule in Regal State above,
Mother of Gods, and Wife of Jove.

O happy these of Human Race!
But soon, alas! our Pleasures pass.
He thank'd her on his bended Knee;
Then drank a Quart of Milk and Tea;
And leaving her ador'd Embrace,
Hasten'd to Court, to beg a Place.
While She, his Absence to bemoan,
The very Moment He was gone,
Call'd Thyrsis from beneath the Bed;
Where all this time He had been hid.

Moral
While Men have these Ambitious Fancies;
And wanton Wenches read Romances;
Our Sex will—What? Out with it. Lye;
And Their's in equal Strains reply.
The Moral of the Tale I sing
(A Posy for a Wedding Ring)
In this short Verse will be confin'd:
Love is a Jest; and Vows are Wind.

Know You Are Blessed

Blessings are due,
To those who keep faith
Whether dancing in joy...
Or sobbing in heartbreak.
You have not been forsaken.
Shake loose from those 'blues',
And choose that life you want!

Begin to flaunt it as if it's clear...
You know you are blessed,
And you feel those blessings near!
Blessings are due!
You will not recognize which ones are yours,
If you refuse to answer that knock on your door?

It is not always pain and suffering,
Wanting to gain entry!
Coming to plant seeds of sorrow.
To keep you tensed and venting!
But you wont know that...
If you continue to turn your back,
On the possibility that someone could come
To deliver your reward!

No one should get that bored with life.
Not to find each breath exciting!
Especially when God allowed and gave it!
And wants you to have it your way!
But you have to pray every day for it to happen.
Big Poppa didn't slack on giving you love.
Or had you forgotten?
That's how you got here in the first place!

LIFE

Glorious is life
To feel the morning's dew
There's no strife
In the days left so few.

Magnificent is life
To see the flowers bloom
There's no knife
In the battle-though gloom.

Beautiful is life
To tread the grass green
With my loving wife
And watch the love birds preen.

Happy is life
With innocent children around
To scan the brilliant stars, in rife
In ecstasy to abound.!

You Changed My Life

You changed my life
Came along in a time of strife
In hunger and need
You made my heart bleed
You changed my life
You changed my life
Now the nature of man
Is to beg and to steal
Id do it myself
Its not so unreal
The call of the wilds
Forever at my door
Want me to fly like an eagle
Being chained to the floor, but
You changed my life
Came along in a time of strife
In hunger and need
You made my heart bleed
You changed my life
You changed my life
Eating with the pigs
Off a fancy tray
I was bold, I was looking good
And to have a nice day
It all seemed so proper
And so elite
Eating absolute garbage
While being so discreet.
You changed my life
Came along in a time of strife
In hunger and need
You made my heart bleed
You changed my life
You changed my life
You were glowing in the light
Being peaceably calm
Well, how often does a man dance
To the beat of the balm?
Your eyes were on fire
Your feet were of brass
In a world that you made
You were an outcast
You changed my life
Came along in a time of strife
In hunger and need
You made my heart bleed
You changed my life
You changed my life
Truce makers and partakers
Of every selfish whim
Her running to meet me running to her
And you running back to him
Their destruction of my confidence
Was like a sharpness of the tongue
I said: make my faith greater
But I was a little high strung
You changed my life
Came along in a time of strife
In hunger and need
You made my heart bleed
You changed my life
You changed my life

Spoonful

By willie dickson
Could be spoonful of diamonds
Could be spoonful of gold
But I want a spoon ot your precious love
To satisfy my soul
Chorus
Men lies about it
Some are wild about it
Some dies without it
Everythings right about spoonful
That spoon,that spoon,that spoonful
That spoon,that spoon,that spoonful
Could be spoonful of coffee
Could be spoonful of tea
But I want a spoon of your precious love
Thats good enough for me
Chorus
Men lies about it
Some are wild about it
Some dies without it
Everythings right about spoonful
That spoon,that spoon,that spoonful
That spoon,that spoon,that spoonful
.
Could be a spoonful of water
Searching from the desert sand
But just a spoon of that fortifies
Saved you from another man

Some are wild about it
Some dies without it
Everythings right about spoonful
