Carl Gustav Jung

As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.

On the Deaths of Thomas Carlyle and George Eliot: Sonnets

TWO SOULS diverse out of our human sight
Pass, followed one with love and each with wonder:
The stormy sophist with his mouth of thunder,
Clothed with loud words and mantled in the might
Of darkness and magnificence of night;
And one whose eye could smite the night in sunder,
Searching if light or no light were thereunder,
And found in love of loving-kindness light.
Duty divine and Thought with eyes of fire
Still following Righteousness with deep desire
Shone sole and stern before her and above,
Sure stars and sole to steer by; but more sweet
Shone lower the loveliest lamp for earthly feet,
The light of little children, and their love.

Sonnet: Eternal Light

As long as there was some light, I could see;
And when the lights went out, I became blind,
Like a mole; the window-pane did I find!
The light came through, I regained acuity.

The blind can’t see even in broad daylight,
But they discern what men with eyes cannot!
The latter struggle more than what blind ought!
Men cannot see at night without moonlight.

In light or darkness, who helps man to see?
’Tis Maker-God, the true light of the world;
Man’s inward eye can see his destiny;
A soul in sin, to divine light is cold.

God is Light in light and in darkness;
No man is blind, his soul in God’s harness!

Lamp Of Love

Light, oh where is the light?
Kindle it with the burning fire of desire!

There is the lamp but never a flicker of a flame--is such thy fate, my heart?
Ah, death were better by far for thee!

Misery knocks at thy door,
and her message is that thy lord is wakeful,
and he calls thee to the love-tryst through the darkness of night.

The sky is overcast with clouds and the rain is ceaseless.
I know not what this is that stirs in me--I know not its meaning.

A moment's flash of lightning drags down a deeper gloom on my sight,
and my heart gropes for the path to where the music of the night calls me.

Light, oh where is the light!
Kindle it with the burning fire of desire!
It thunders and the wind rushes screaming through the void.
The night is black as a black stone.
Let not the hours pass by in the dark.
Kindle the lamp of love with thy life.

Hidden Truths

In darkness we see nothing,
It is nothing,
Only blackness,
Solitude,
Aloneness.

In a world of light we see everything,
It is everything.
Light fills the gaps in our minds showing us reality,
Truth,
Existence.

When the lights go off and darkness comes,
Everything we knew is lost,
It becomes consumed by the nothing,
Hidden,
Lost.

Everything is engulfed in nothing,
It is hidden from our mind,
Yet it is still there,
Exists,
Is.

Blindness is like the darkness,
With a dark curtain covering our perception,
And things still exist in the world,
Reality,
Fact.

Darkness is the emptiness of seeing,
The lack of evidence of existence,
Yet without perceived minds they are still there,
Exist,
Are.

Unless It Disappears

The lack of acknowledgement present,
Does not change the existence of a thing!
Or bring a climax to wondering!
Even if occupied space is ignored,
It will still be there!
Black, colorized, white and/or devoid of air.
The intention of its existence...
Does not rely on an attention mentioned!
The purpose and its value,
Is to share with those aware.
Accepting or rejecting it...
Does 'it' stop with feelings to care?
To prove or disapprove,
That which 'is' IS there!
Nothing is going to change it at all...
Unless it disappears.
And that's not likely to happen here,
Even if there is a sudden silence of darkness...
That shuts light from eyes,
And blocks the hearing of ears!

Brighter Darkness

Yes, when the darkness begins to glow,
Then the light of day is become done,
When the light of day becomes corrupt,
The Brighter darkness reigns as day,
Lo, in the corruptness of the day,
The Lone Star Gives the night's sole light,
Tonight, I glow my brightest,
Yes, i am the alphastar,
Oh yes, I am the Alpa comet that luminate's the nights skies

Another Hit For That Fix

When did the living of life,
Become the sole purpose...
To acquire things?
With a desiring that hypnotizes.

When was it that a stress accepted,
To impress others...
Leave such a disappointing affect,
That left our attachments addressed...
More valued than human beings neglected?

And who was it that decided what we possessed,
Would be taxed to never own?
To deluded ourselves and others shown.
As we condone those brave who fought our wars,
On foreign shores...
To needlessly sit hungry and homeless,
Upon city streets and curbs.
As if deserving of it to ease our nerves.

What ignorance qualified itself like this?
To become for us prioritized and not resist.
And to demand with expectations,
A picking of our own choice of entitlements.
With a decision to place insanity,
At the top of our wish list to ensure its existence.

When did the living of life,
Become the sole purpose...
To acquire things?
With a desiring.
That leaves us hypocrites hypnotized.
To feel we have rights to judge and criticize.

And today with a worship of it we can not rid.
Like addicts we pray to get another 'hit' for that 'fix'...
To satisfy that high we get.
With a numbness prescribed and legally authorized,
As we are fed our dysfunctional way of life is envied...
By those we are taught seek to take away our greatness.
And that's why they do their best to fight against us,
As we select which ones are our enemies living on their land.

Kinsmen of Existance

The sun of reason
breaking into a night of passion
guiding the dreaming hunter
into the archives of reality
to hit at the flesh of existence
and spill the blood of achievement
Real success, the sun of reason... shine on!

The son of purpose
reigning in the kingdom of darkness
healing the crippled humanity
into the safety of grace
and the assurance of faith
Real life, real purpose
The son of purpose, reign on!

Light & Darkness

I remember light dimmed without darkness and darkness dimmed without light if you think about it there would be no light if there were no darkness, darkness needs lights, and light needs darkness, is that why heaven and hell do not fight, there calm but why.... they are enemies no? ....but even enemies know how to maintain balance... this light there is darkness on it... i see why.... what is light without darkness, if there were no darkness how would there be a light....... it would be a void of emptiness, thank you hells thank you heavens, thank you demons, thank you angels you know we must last so you maintain balance, you know of light and darkness......

Messing up

what purpose is there to see light if the light is fading away by your actions?
You can't bring the light back because of all the damage that was put upon by your hands
good-bye my light I will drown in the darkness because that is where I belong for driving you away
I'm sorry my light for not treating you carefully and doing things right
beautiful light of mine I beg you to not go but I know you will and so will I
we will be heading two different directions you will go higher and grow brighter
I will go down and drown
I am drowning, drowning in my actions, drowning in the darkness

I love you my light... that was never a lie

Can You See The Darkness

Can you discern the freedom of unbarring your soul to the only One who asks nothing in return, but love. What can we offer back but our trust and fears?
One day we will weep no more for we will have given Him both unashamedly.

Truth creates a meaning for our dreams. Ask the questions I may have missed. Write, scribble, highlight, document, journalise, whatever! Get the point across! Do not allow limitations, for life will not hesitate to pass you by.

Growing All around us a generation gone blind, unaware as the real darkness shadows their light. Illumination dims the wisdom of their Resolve.
Darkness maintains a comfort zone, A taboo and handicap to the sighted.
There survives a single unrelenting truth; sightless perspective belongs to all who lack vision. Darkness is far more sinister than the absence of light.
There is no discrimination, the desire, the forfeiture of your soul required.

Our world lacks the determination of true sightless visionaries.
(Helen Keller, Stevie Wonder, Andrea Bocelli, etc.) Accomplished individuals having shared the light of their darkness with the world. Do you believe 'things aren't always as though they appear? , Who then owns truer vision the sighted or those challenged by sight? Hold that thought for a moment.
Now, Close your eyes and ask that same question;
only this time in your new world you have never been sighted.
Your entire existence, 'blinded' by the awareness of never having known vision.

By an order of magnitude Light ends darkness, as even a consideration.
Each day creates a new opportunity for the continuum of life.
Light and Life co-exist whether one lives in the darkness or light.
One needs faith, not vision, to experience the truth.

Our Final Destination Is With God

What purpose is there
To live in darkness,
To make one’s life dark
Or to accept darkness?

A life void of love
Or generosity,
A life of petty pursuits
That fail to enrich another,
This is darkness.
A life that refuses
To accept the love
Of God or humans,
This is the ultimate
Extreme darkness.

When a person finds love
From the universe and for the universe,
There is a light that radiates within
For everyone else to see and feel;
When a human being views a flower
Or a sunrise, when he sees a small bird at dawn
And feels the rush of spiritual promise that says
The world is meaningful and beautiful
And sometimes kind, this is a powerful light.

Suffering and death are forms
Of unavoidable darkness,
An intense darkness that can crush a spirit
That fails to contrast the sadness with the joy,
The sorrow with the laughter,
The goodbyes with the hellos in life.

We must walk the line between darkness and light,
Between loneliness and happiness
Knowing our final destination is with God
Which is the victory of light over the darkness.

Divine Sunlight Rays of hope,
Nurture the light within us to always increase
And shine upon others with the promise
That every struggle can be overcome
And every battle against the heart or soul can be won,
May we live to know love and to share love,
May we be examples of the divine nature
Which is ever to uplift with kindness
And to bring the kingdom of heaven to earth.

Darkness triumph

In gust of sorrow, does darkness dwell
Eyes open or closed, it hardly quell
Engulfs into heart shell, never to be flare
Here darkness stays virgin, forever to reign
Such purity of darkness, pious than light
Embrace every form, without any bias
Shuns worldly treasure, in emptiness seek pleasure
No light manipulate, such darkness immaculate

And in such darkness, we still feel worried
Nothing but of, our own devious belief
That in light we hardly gaze, in darkness chase
Besiege light illuminated, fails prize integrity
Of human conscience, blight by fragility
Eternity has witness, blindfold justice conquest
Alas! After viciousness, committed in light.
Triumph of darkness, linger in reverberating silence

The Journey of The Spırıt

This experiment fostered on mere mortal men
cannot be reasoned in thought.
One must be confident that what is seen
is over and again sought
by the soul of your existence that can't resist
its purpose to bring you home.
It's a home filled with knowledge
of everything that is.
It's a home filled with reverence
for everything that is.

And so while we're here we play this game
expecting to be duped and fooled.
And experiencing all of our earthly acts
we are slowly motivated and schooled.
Most of what we are schooled in
takes its toll on our brain.
Where and how do we escape this
so this is not where we remain?
We search. We learn. We give. We love
and rid ourselves of pain.

Oh mere mortals wake up and see.
Fill up your cup with mortality.
And when you've had enough that's come your way
make all your thoughts unfettered and free.
For this is the time that will come to you
all the sights that were blocked from your view.
No more will the experiment keep you enslaved
for the soul of your existence will help you be saved.
You will leave this recurring nightmarish scene
and finally understand all it did mean.
