A fool cannot be protected from his folly. If you attempt to do so, you will not only arouse his animosity but also you will be attempting to deprive him of whatever benefit he is capable of deriving from experience. Never attempt to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and annoys the pig.

Inspector Mills
Inspector mills Id like to tell you bout a girl I saw
At a party just the other night in beverly hills
Inspector mills I hope you find her and it dont take long
Watch my feelings for her growing strong in a war of wills
Inspector mills
I cant attempt to point you in her direction
I didnt see her walking out of the door
If I had taken my time shed be standing here still
Inspector mills
I recall once in my life I felt this way before
But I let her go and closed the door, walk away
Inspector mills I cant attempt to show the hurt in me
And just how much I need the company; search the valleys and the hills
You gotta find her mr. mills
I cant attempt to point you in her direction
I was blinded by the look in her eyes
If I had taken my time shed be sitting here still
Inspector mills
Oo, someday soon I might be in love with her
Inspector mills I guess youve taken quite a look around
Guess Ive heard the word from underground, shes gone for good
Inspector mills is it any crime for a fool like me
Try to use your time cause I wanna see; you just send me the bill
Inspector mills, inspector mills
I cant attempt to point you in her direction
I didnt see her walking out of the door
If I had taken my time shed be lying here still
Inspector mills, inspector
I cant attempt to point you in her direction
I was blinded by the look in her eyes
If I had just followed through then I wouldnt be calling you

Many Disrespecting Students
What lesson did you teach?
That kept concealed your weaknesses.
A student of 'life'?
This you are not!
Not if you preceive,
There is benefit to imposed limitations!
Maybe this is your goal and purpose?
Who knows?
But this experience called life,
You attempt to start to control.
Is not of your creation!
I know this is devastating news.
It's true.
It is not!
Although you believe,
You've been given the power to begin...
And stop the tick tocking of a clock!
The realms and dimensions,
Upon which we exist.
Are too magnificent for you to fathom.
From your limited insights...
You wish,
The Universe upon your shoulders sit.
As others are 'alllowed' by you to visit.
But it doesn't!
Nor will it ever.
Further come to burden your load.
Since upon us all,
There is a higher consciousness.
And 'you' fortunately...
Have nothing to do with it!
But learn.
Like the many disrespecting students.

The only freedom which deserves the name is that of pursuing our own good, in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it.

Upon A Venerable Rival
Full thirty frosts since thou wert young
Have chilled the withered grove,
Thou wretch! and hast thou lived so long,
Nor yet forgot to love?
Ye sages! spite of your pretences
To wisdom, you must own
Your folly frequently commences
When you acknowledge none.
Not that I deem it weak to love,
Or folly to admire;
But ah! the pangs we lovers prove
Far other years require.
Unheeded on the youthful brow
The beams of Phoebus play;
But unsupported age stoops low
Beneath the sultry ray.
For once, then, if untutored youth,
Youth unapproved by years,
May chance to deviate into truth,
When your experience errs;
For once attempt not to despise
What I esteem a rule:
Who early loves, though young, is wise,--
Who old, though gray, a fool.

Do Not Attempt To Understand Me
do not attempt to understand me
and tell me that this is this and this is what i have to do
for i do not need a shrink or another philosopher
they are all there inside the cabinet, locked and who knows
dying, but i am not that so cruel, for i still let them live
inside this void, and they still have the voices
though faint and well, i say, they have their own time,
but for the time being, i ask, that they must not attempt
to unlock me like i am a door with switches, a wall with bolts,
misplaced modifiers, incomplete clauses,
do they know that when they attempt to understand me
i die, like a meaning?
do they know that when the time comes for the riddle to be answered
and correctly at that,
i shall crumple like a paper sphinx?
there are those which are better be just themselves
undissipated, disassemble,
unconnected, dislodged, excreted,
for in truth, i prefer this self to just be...
unfolded, unfolding, it is more beautiful when
not understood, its mystery so beautiful, like
when you begin to explain a sunset
when you put in the square of your hands the sunrise
or the moon, that you contain
inside the iris of your eye.

Hardheadedness
Ignorance for what it is...
Is ignorance for what it is!
Romanticizing it as it has been done,
In urban centers throughout the country...
To benefit those living in suburbia,
And their misguided opinions and decisions...
Is not going to bestow upon anyone,
The glow of enlightenment.
Not with the thickness of hardheadedness in the way!
Some folks can not be taught.
They 'have' to be shown!
All of it has been to someone else's benefit!
And if you are one who find that you are whining...
This benefit does not belong to you!
It is not yours.
A picture drawn in crayon is best understood!
Hopefully.
At least an attempt should be made...
To search for any display of a higher consciousness,
Seeking release.
From under the rubble of thoughtlessness,
After the onslaught of attacks from mindlessness.

I Am Life
I am...
Committed.
To unlimitness to give it.
I am...
Seeking to be free.
Yeah.
I am...
Committed.
To unlimitness to give it.
And to admit...
The benefit.
I am...
Committed.
To unlimitness to give it,
And this seems to fit...
Me,
Just perfectly.
Yes, I am...
Committed.
To unlimitness to give it.
With a happiness to give and get.
I am...
Devoted to possibilities.
Oh,
I am...
Sleepless until I attempt to reach.
I am...
Committed.
To unlimitness to give it.
I am...
Devoted to possibilities.
Oh,
I am...
Committed.
To unlimitness to give it.
I am...
Sleepless until I attempt to reach.
Oh,
I am...
Sleepless until I attempt to reach.
Yes, I am...
Life.
And, I am...
Not a substitution.
I am...
Life!

Masked Assests
What point would I'd be making,
If my potential was exposed...
With a producing of abilities.
To who's benefit will this assist?
To whom ultimately will be pleased?
And...
Who will attempt to discredit me,
With a unseen limiting?
Masked assets I release.
With a viewing of them being mistreated.
Only I know what it is I keep deep within,
From a familiar disrespecting...
I will not let become diminished,
Begun to begin...
To satisfy those of restricting whims.
Masked assets I release.
Safely protected and out of reach.
Only to share in secret I do,
With those I know have also gone through...
An emotional raping,
Of their misunderstood deeds.

Folly
(For A. K. K.)
What distant mountains thrill and glow
Beneath our Lady Folly's tread?
Why has she left us, wise in woe,
Shrewd, practical, uncomforted?
We cannot love or dream or sing,
We are too cynical to pray,
There is no joy in anything
Since Lady Folly went away.
Many a knight and gentle maid,
Whose glory shines from years gone by,
Through ignorance was unafraid
And as a fool knew how to die.
Saint Folly rode beside Jehanne
And broke the ranks of Hell with her,
And Folly's smile shone brightly on
Christ's plaything, Brother Juniper.
Our minds are troubled and defiled
By study in a weary school.
O for the folly of the child!
The ready courage of the fool!
Lord, crush our knowledge utterly
And make us humble, simple men;
And cleansed of wisdom, let us see
Our Lady Folly's face again.

The criteria for serving one's country should be competence, courage and willingness to serve. When we deny people the chance to serve because of their sexual orientation, we deprive them of their rights of citizenship, and we deprive our armed forces the service of willing and capable Americans.

Conduct
No matter who we are,
All of us are judged...
Based upon our conduct.
And no distance is diminished,
By our conduct.
We can attempt to cover it,
But it's our conduct.
That beats most of us up!
No matter if we're rich or poor...
With doors gold plated or cardboard,
It's conduct!
We can attempt to cover it,
But it's our conduct.
That beats most of us up!
We have those moods and attitudes,
But what we do is not excused...
If conduct,
Is not a pleasantry that's seen.
If conduct,
Is perceived to be one mean.
It's conduct!
We can attempt to cover it,
And it is conduct.
That beats us up!
No matter if we're kind,
Most of the time.
And most of the time,
We show we are kind!
No matter if we're rich or poor...
With doors gold plated or cardboard,
It's conduct!
We can attempt to cover it,
But it's our conduct.
That beats most of us up!
We have those moods and attitudes,
But what we do is not excused...
If conduct,
Is not a pleasantry that's seen.
If conduct,

Times Of Transition
times of transition
are painful difficult
saying too much
saying not enough
saying the wrong thing
or even the right thing
at the wrong time
even without trying
we are changing
as life
circumstances
change us
an attempt
to become
our greatest
potential
is a course
we must chart
ever
attempt
to follow
