Girls

(d. bowie, e. kizilcay)
Producer: terry britten
Albums: break every rule (86)
Girls, we come and we go
We kiss, come and we go
Like a breeze, brushing your cheek
Like pain, like the tears on a face
Girls, we come and we go
Like spirits, we vanish at dawn
My heart, suspended in time
Like you, vanish like tears in the rain
Girls, we take our loves away
Like spirits living so far away
Girls, pretending to break down and cry
Girls, whispering wind, what are we giving away
We used to be so happy
Remember, remember, so happy
I never knew how lonely
Could feel

Abraham Lincoln

The provision of the Constitution giving the war-making power to Congress was dictated, as I understand it, by the following reasons. Kings had always been involving and impoverishing their people in wars, pretending generally, if not always, that the good of the people was the object. This, our Convention understood to be the most oppressive of all Kingly oppressions; and they resolved to so frame the Constitution that no one man should hold the power of bringing this oppression upon us.

At Dawn

At dawn…
The time when I feel all alone
When everybody is asleep
And are still catching some zzzz’s

At dawn…
The hour when the place is quiet
When I’m almost dumb and deaf
And silence is all I can hear

At dawn…
The break when my mind’s unloaded
When my body is free from pains
And my heart is filled with wonder

At dawn…
Each day with a date with God
I spend this quiet time in grace
Thanking Him for the night that passed

At dawn…
I pray to our Almighty Lord above
Praising Him for who He is-
An awesome and wonderful God

At dawn…
I plead for His help so I could do
All the tasks that I have to make
At dawn, and for the rest of the day

Abraham Lincoln

Allow the President to invade a neighboring nation, whenever he shall deem it necessary to repel an invasion, and you allow him to do so, whenever he may choose to say he deems it necessary for such purpose, and you allow him to make war at pleasure. Study to see if you can fix any limit to his power in this respect, after having given him so much as you propose. If, to-day, he should choose to say he thinks it necessary to invade Canada, to prevent the British from invading us, how could you stop him? You may say to him, "I see no probability of the British invading us" but he will say to you, "Be silent; I see it, if
you don't." The provision of the Constitution giving the war making power to Congress was dictated, as I understand it, by the following reasons.

Festival of the Spirits

There is a freshness in the air
That kindles that part of the mind
At the back that rejunvenates our whole body
There is that extra sensory perception of the mind
That could tell things without seeing them like
The celebrations of spirits out in the
Mountains, that contagious uplifting
Of spirits that smolders the whole
Island which makes one feel elated
To be in such unseen wonder;
The heartstirring beatings of celestial drums,
The fairy dances, the gathering of beings
Which serenade an auspcious enchantment
All over the island that one could feel a sense
Of euphoria a whole evening.
It's gone the next day leaving one awed
Of the mystifying elation that has come visiting
The night before when one feels one has
Been invited to party with spirits and fairies.

Just Man Or Woman

JUST MAN OR WOMAN

Forced to live a human life,
filled with trouble, toil and strife,
called a Husband or a wife,
are we just Man or Woman?

Trapped inside a fleshy cage,
poked and prodded ‘till outrage,
labeled by both Fool and Sage,
who say, “Just Man or Woman”.

As the intellect grows old,
One discovers, or is told,
“all that glitters is not gold”
is there just Man and Woman?

Judged by BODY separately,
every human has to be,
him or Her, a He or She,
is MIND just Man or Woman?

MIND is an electric toy,
guiding BODY bold or coy,
it’s the same for Girl or Boy,
MIND’s not just Man or Woman.

All are SPIRITS trapped behind,
fleshy mass and scheduled MIND,
now and then there is a sign,
we’re not just Man or Woman.

Some human beings, ‘tho preset
to survive, and then beget, …
feel their SPIRIT and regret
they are just Man or Woman.

Those who wander from the trail,
will seek love to no avail,
they are doomed on earth to fail,
to join both Man and Woman.

Compliment was planned for all,
LOVE was given to enthrall
SPIRITS who accept the call
to love, just Man or Woman.

We are SPIRITS, YOU and ME,
seeking immortality,
LOVE’s a possibility,
If we’re just Man or Woman!

Dream Fragments

The window latch sleep opens,
Then the mind flits out,
And wends the regions,
Boundless, free, and twilit,
Till warm rays kiss the night welt.

Like a rat the mind darted
Along the shrubs,
By the elephants chased.
Soon the legs lost quick paces;
And in fear, the mind to the body returns.

The mind does slowly land
On the school boyhood loitered,
And see the collyrium touched eye brows, and
Side long looks ever charmed,
But all broken opening the eyes.

The vennel snake creeps
The mind dared to prowl,
And peep the beauty sleeps
As the canoe floats on rill,
But wakes up in trance.

The mind prances:
The moonlet falls, its stem broken;
And the stars collided in to pieces:
All in a flash in the sweats vanish,
And drank water from fear fall.

Dreams a few died
With its fossils
On inner sands stamped;
While vanish others
Like the rainbows.

Robert Burns

Why Should We Idly Waste Our Prime

Why should we idly waste our prime
Repeating our oppressions?
Come rouse to arms! 'Tis now the time
To punish past transgressions.
'Tis said that Kings can do no wrong --
Their murderous deeds deny it,
And, since from us their power is sprung,
We have a right to try it.
Now each true patriot's song shall be: -
'Welcome Death or Libertie!'

Proud Priests and Bishops we'll translate
And canonize as Martyrs;
The guillotine on Peers shall wait;
And Knights shall hang in garters.
Those Despots long have trode us down,
And Judges are their engines:
Such wretched minions of a Crown
Demand the people's vengeance!
To-day 'tis theirs. To-morrow we
Shall don the Cap of Libertie!

The Golden Age we'll then revive:
Each man will be a brother;
In harmony we all shall live,
And share the earth together;
In Virtue train'd, enlighten'd Youth
Will love each fellow-creature;
And future years shall prove the truth
That Man is good by nature:
Then let us toast with three times three
The reign of Peace and Libertie!

Feed On The Weak

Spirits call, spirits rise.
Desolate sky, spirits die!
Haunting for the silence
As the sickness falls within.
You've got your strays,
The mice are killed.
It stems between the sick.
Spirits call, spirits rise.
Desolate sky, spirits die!
Haunting for behind them
Finds us meaning on the way.
The words fill, the chapters come.
It dissipates, it stays.
Spirits call, spirits rise.
Desolate skies, spirits die!
Falling hard, arriving fear.
Feeding on the weakest core.

A tearaway

The tearaway,
would kick cans, throw litter,
play knock down ginger,
steal milk from doorsteps
and generally run amuck.

At 13, she left school,
well, the local yob, a Teddy Boy
got her knocked up,
she was up the duff
in the pudding club.

Lost the baby at 4 months,
went on the booze,
did tricks for locals
and was generally
bad news.

At 15 they put her in ‘care'
for soliciting,
disorderly behavior
and
threw away the key.

At 21 she had syphilis,
it was the warden, they said.
Her body was all used up
her mind
a mess.

At 22 they found her,
in one of the corridors
she was lying in her own piss.
clutching a bottle,
stone dead.

Us kids used to like her,
she'd give us sweets,
piggy back rides,
and tell us __
life was but a dream.

Ch 08 On Rules For Conduct In Life - Maxim 62

Who panders to his passions will not cultivate accomplishments and who possesses none is not suitable for a high position.

Have no mercy on a voracious ox
Who sleeps a great deal and eats much.
If thou wantest to have fatness like an ox,
Yield thy body to the tyranny of people like an ass.
