My Scarlet Name
My Scarlet Name
Take my life and paint it black
Until I'm sleeping
And my promise, I take it back
So please stop creeping
I don't call your heart my own
Where I rest my head I'm home
You are here to please me
You know my name
I don't know yours
Stay until the curfew calls
And kiss your idol
Beneath your black-hair waterfalls
You look so bridal
I don't call your heart my own
Where I rest my head I'm home
You are here to please me
You know my name
I don't know yours
I don't call your heart my own
Where I rest my head I'm home
You are here to please me
You know my name
I don't know yours
You know my name
[My scarlet name]
You don't know - me

Song. (Birds Of Passage. Flight The Fifth)
Stay, stay at home, my heart, and rest;
Home-keeping hearts are happiest,
For those that wander they know not where
Are full of trouble and full of care;
To stay at home is best.
Weary and homesick and distressed,
They wander east, they wander west,
And are baffled and beaten and blown about
By the winds of the wilderness of doubt;
To stay at home is best.
Then stay at home, my heart, and rest;
The bird is safest in its nest;
O'er all that flutter their wings and fly
A hawk is hovering in the sky;
To stay at home is best.

Home Sweet Home
Met this girl called josephine and took her up on my machine
We had a little fun and now we got a little one
Had to get married, being chased out of town
Found ourselves a place to live, we put all our money down
Call it home sweet home, home sweet home
Eleven floors up in a tower block
Happy just to have a home
Ive gone and changed the lock on our home
Nothing really worked out right, things got broke,
They stayed that way
None of our friends came around at night and little sam got
No place to play
Weve got to get out of here, bill she said Ive been telling
You all the while
When I came home from work that night shed jumped out the
Window with our chiled
From our home sweet home, home sweet home
Just a place to take a rest, just a place ot make our nest
-- we call it our home
When the insurance money came through seemed dirty didnt
Know what to do
Took the cash went down the casino, down on the wheel
On the double
And I won, oh yes I won, like I never won before
Bought myself a country house with an antique carved
Oak door
It was home sweet home, home sweet home
Just a place to lay our head think of all those things we said
About in our home sweet home.

A Heart Is A Home
Can I call your heart a home
Can I call it close to me
It’s a place I like to go
Love is a new feeling
That I am accustomed to
And I think of you
In a daydream sometimes
Only to catch a smile
Can I call out your name
Can I call on you
You are the girl to save me
From being myself
You make the best of me
Bring it on all out
Can I call your heart a home
The only place I wish to be
Can I call on you my love
Can I call you by your name
Can I say now, all I want to say
Love is a feeling you gave
To my heart it can be your home
Can I call you my love

Our Piece Of Heaven
Heaven is where the heart lies
and the heart lies where it calls home
and home is always
where you hang your hat.
So this conclusion is evident
heaven has to be a place
we call our home.
We can travel the world far and wide;
enjoy the places that we visit.
We are always thankful
whenever our travels end
and we are back where we started.
Our piece of heaven
that place we call our home.

Give Me A Home
Give me a home to call my own
A humble home of wood or stone;
A place where ripples laugh all day
And songbirds sing and children play
A little home of love and cheer
Where seasons paint throughout the year,
And at last, when the day is through,
A place where I may talk with you.
Give me a home to call my own,
A friendly home to stand alone
And crown some earthly mound of clay
Or set before an ocean spray,
A simple home of faith and trust
Where I may toil in Heaven's dust
And when, anew, each day is through,
A place where I may be with you.
Give me a home to call my own,
A common home of tree or stone;
A place where kindness lights the way,
And flowers bloom and willows sway-
A home of love where hearts may kiss
Each tender joy of wedded bliss,
And in each hour of life to find,
A truer peace of heart and mind.

Come Back Home!
Come back Father!
come back Home!
see your daughter
come back home
request is long,
though words are meager,
heart is tired,
eyes are eager,
to see you again
but cannot find
a single glimpse of your face
full of grace...
O! kind and tender!
come back home...
with your image
dreams are pregnant
dreams are rich
but inadequate,
for this craving heart.
i have portraits of your figure fine
but these photos are unkind.
they don't let
your tender hands
reach my head.
so come back home...
why don't you hear
my mute cries...?
tho' these are knocking
upon the higher skies.
don't you know
that in my heart
your memory lies.
my anxious soul
and silent sighs
call you Father
come back Home...
see your daughter
come back Home...

See You See Me
Where is the rhyme, where is the reason
Who stands to judge me in this way
Some call it choice, some call it treason
Why find me guilty on this day
Stay home and watch it on T.V.
Stay home and watch it on T.V.
See you - See me
Now is the time, now is the season
When we should have something to say
You keep your faith, I'll keep my freedom
Why should we listen anyway
Stay home and watch it on T.V
Stay home and watch it on T.V
See you - See me
How is there no way of pleasing
And who has the answer of the day
When will they stop all of the squeezing
Why should we play the game their way
Stay home and watch it on T.V
Stay home and watch it on T.V
See you - See me
Stay home and watch it on T.V
Stay home and watch it on T.V
See you - See me

Call It What You Will
You can call it anything you want
But a rose is a rose and a thorn is a thorn
Tell me white is black and black is white
You can say anything but that dont make it right
You can tell me that the world is flat
If I didnt know any better, I might go for that
And the sky is falling on my head
I believe the sky is falling on my head
Ive been such a fool
Dont you agree?
I let you call all my shots for me
Dont you know how it feels
When youve got high ideals?
Call it what you will - dont call it love
Call it what you will - dont call it love
Call it what you will - dont call it love
Call it what you will - dont call it love, not in front of me
I think Im old enough
I can handle myself when the going gets tough
You dont have to hide it anymore
Why bother sparing me now when you didnt before?
You can save that line for someone else
Thats your own can of beans and I swear I wont tell
Now is the sky is falling on my head
I believe the sky is falling on my head
Ive been such a fool
But dont cry for me
You are the one who needs sympathy
Tell me how many times
Can you play the same line?
Now the sky is falling on your head
Look out baby, now the sky is falling on your head
Yes the sky is falling on your head
I believe the sky is falling on your head
Youve been such a fool
Now cant you see?
You lost your best opportunity
You passed up a prize
For some pie in the sky

Familiarity With The World, Finally....
no place does not give you a distraction
the sound of the machine that lingers in the air and pierces your ear
it will always be there
the sound of engines
more cruel than thunder
and folding waves of the storms at sea
bigger than houses
shall always meet you straight in the eye
deeper in your mind
there seems to be no peaceful place of the leaves and
grass
where you can rest your body where your soul finds an imaginary
home
where the heart can sleep and dream
there seems to be none
and so you run and run as fast as you can to find it
but the running even if it does not stop
finds no such place
and hopeless then
you rest upon a field of destructive sounds and then begin to
accept them as they are
the mad cry of the baby, the heated exchange of hate between
couples, the war of governments and people,
all these are very real
are becoming spots in your skin
your very own shadow that goes with you everywhere you go
you too, is that sound of anger and despair
this is the world
this is your place
now, you must learn what is this all about
rest your head upon the madness of the crowd
sleep amidst the chaos
this is finally what we call as home
yes, a home in a very crowded mall, in a very narrow path
towards a broken door, that slanted room.

A Song of Truce
Till the tread of marching feet
Through the quiet grass-grown street
Of the little town shall come,
Soldier, rest awhile at home.
While the banners idly hang,
While the bugles do not clang,
While is hushed the clamorous drum,
Soldier, rest awhile at home.
In the breathing-time of Death,
While the sword is in its sheath,
While the cannon's mouth is dumb,
Soldier, rest awhile at home.
Not too long the rest shall be.
Soon enough, to Death and thee,
The assembly call shall come.
Soldier, rest awhile at home.

The place I call home
I'm leaving now.
I'm going home.
I'm leaving now.
To the place I call home.
I won't come back.
I'll be at home.
I'll be happy there.
The place I call home.
Where the birds sing.
And the flowers dance.
Where the wind whispers.
In the place I call home.
The children play.
The stars sparkle.
The dogs bark.
In the place I call home.
I'm going now.
To my home.
Where I'll live freely
In the place I call home

My Home
I have a home,
It is a safe haven,
Lay a house on the beach.
From far distant I stand,
Sweet memory I recall close…
Stillness of time,
Now as dust, they lay.
A homesick heart I bear.
I softening loneliness I make.
As all loneliness You heal,
My home I shall first return.
Within Your embrace…
My Home.
The longing ever stronger.
To just remain at home.
My stains are too many,
My being untrue,
But truth my home knows,
That home is only with You and Me.
My shelter, My home
My house, My heaven,
A comfort resting place,
Call Home.
A place call Home,
When we stay in,
Live our whole life in this homeland,
That’s my home.

Aaron
Holiness on the head,
Light and perfection on the breast,
Harmonious bells below, raising the dead
To led them unto life and rest.
Thus are true Aarons dressed.
Profaneness in my head,
Defects and darkness in my breast,
A noise of passions ringing me for dead
Unto a place where is no rest.
Poor priest thus am I dressed.
Only another head
I have, another heart and breast,
another music, making live not dead,
without whom I could have no rest:
In him I am well dressed.
Christ is my only head,
My alone only heart and breast,
My only music, striking me even dead;
That to the old man I may rest,
And be in him new dressed.
So holy in my head,
Perfect and light in my dear breast,
My doctrine tuned by Christ, (who is not dead,
But lives in me while I do rest)
Come people; Aaron's dressed.

A Kiss 2
They call it a kiss
A butterfly’s touch
The gentlest rest
They call it a kiss
A summertime breeze
The warmest caress
They call it a kiss
A drizzling rain
The heavenly dress
They call it a kiss
A sweltering sun
The desire for less
They call it a kiss
A bee's painful sting
The soul of true stress
They call it a kiss
Whatever it is
They call it a kiss

Home Ain't Where His Heart Is
He knew how to reach me deep inside
And he found a part of me i could not hide
And we'd walk and talk and touch tenderly
Then he'd lay me down and make love to me
We built a love so strong and couldn't break
There was not a road we were afraid to take
And we'd kiss all the way from arkansas to rome
'cause in each other's arms we were home sweet home
But he don't feel the same
Since our lives became
Years of bills, babies and chains
Home ain't where his heart is anymore
He may hang his hat behind our bedroom door
But he don't lay his head down to love me like before
Home ain't where his heart is anymore
If foundations made of stone can turn to dust
Then the hardest hearts of steel can turn to rust
If he could only find that feeling once again
If we could only change the way the story ends
And he may still come home
But i live here alone
The love that built these walls is gone
Home ain't where his heart is anymore
He may hang his hat behind our bedroom door
But he don't lay his head down to love me like before
He don't lay his head down to love me like before
Home ain't where his heart is anymore
No, home ain't where his heart is

Everyone calls it India, but I call it Home!
Everyone calls it India, but I call it home. The place where I grew up. Where I started life, met my first friends. Where life started to make sense. Everyone calls it India, but I call it home. When I am in trouble all my friends are there, but most of all my home saves me from all. Where I learned to speak and learned my ABCs. Everyone calls it India, but I call it home. Where I learned to walk, I took my first steps but then fell, my home was there to rescue me. Where life started to make sense, its not just India, it’s my home. Everyone calls it India, but I call it home

I Want You Back
I want you back (I want you)
I want you to stay
Open your mind
And quit the games you play
I want you back (I want you)
I want you tonight
Calling your name
And let me hold you tight
Ohohuhohoh, I want you back again
Ohohuhohoh, cause I'm your man
Ohohuhohoh, I want you back again
Can't live without you and I wanna be your man
I'm crazy about the things you do
I have fallen for you, as you wanted me to
I don't want your money, I want your time
I give you everything inside my heart could find
I'll be your soulmate, your man heaven sent
till the end, I hold your hand like nobody else I understand
Now end, the colour of my heart is black
Quit the games you play because I want you back
All that I possess I'll sacrifice
Take my heart and I will name the price
I searched the whole world just for a girl like you
Why did you hurt me, I don't believe it's true
Take two, and I would do anything to hold you tonight
And forever for the rest of time in this life
I thought you gonna be my wife, without you close to me
You know I can't survive
Now you got the best of me, come on and take the rest of me
Please stop the game, and call my name, no shame,
I feel pain, the colour of my heart is black
Quit the games you play because I want you back
I would move a mountain just for you
I would pull the sun out of the blue
I'll give you one more chance to make it right
Can't live without you, I want you by my side

Scarlet Ribbons
I peeked in to say good-night,
When I heard my child in prayer.
And for me some scarlet ribbons,
Scarlet ribbons for my hair.
All the stores were closed and shuttered,
All the streets were dark and bare.
In our town no scarlet ribbons,
Not one ribbon for her hair.
Thru the night my heart was aching,
Just before the dawn was breaking.
I peeked in and on her bed,
In gay profusion lying there,
Lovely ribbons, scarlet ribbons,
Scarlet ribbons for her hair.
If I live to be a hundred,
I will never know from where.
Came those lovely scarlet ribbons,
Scarlet ribbons for her hair.
Scarlet ribbons- theres magic in the air,
Scarlet, scarlet ribbons for her hair.

The Cuckoo Clock
The cuckoo flew out of the clock
and landed on the arm chair.
It looked me in the eye and said,
“I’m not going back in there!
People expect too much of me,
going back and forth all day.
I’m not going back inside.
No! Never! No way.
The clock’s none stop ticking
has made my head feel sore
Calling ‘cuckoo’ 24-7 it’s too much,
I’m not doing it any more.
I want to breathe the fresh air,
and feel the rain and sun.
I want to be able to fly around
and enjoy proper cuckoo fun.
I should be leaving my eggs
here, there, and everywhere.
Eating lots of juicy worms,
and being free without a care.
What do you mean I’m not real
and I’m only made of wood?
Of course I am; I call out ‘cuckoo’
like every cuckoo should.
Just put me on the windowsill
and I’ll show you how I can fly.
Why..? I can’t move my wings,
no matter how much I try.
And I can’t call out ‘cuckoo’,
my ‘cuckoo’ cry has gone.
My head and body won’t move,
and my wings won’t open.
Oh dear, what am I to do?
I’m just a piece of wood.
I’ve been shaped like a bird
and my paint job’s not so good.
I’ve a spring sticking out my bottom
and my feathers aren’t feathers at all.
I haven’t a sound to call my own,
and when I try to fly I fall…
Will you please put me back in the clock?
It’s the only place I can call my home.
I’ll be happy to remind you of the time,
and I promise never again to moan.
