we try it

Midnight rain

The rain from the heavens falls
against my window at night
it keeps me awake sometimes
every droplet tap, tapping away
I listen to them, their melody

Sometimes I feel as if I am falling.
Sometimes I feel as if the world around me never stops spinning

A Rainy Night
I lie on my pillow and hear the rain
falling dropp by drop.
I am restless but still I listen
and pray it will not stop.
It's a soothing sound and makes me feel
at peace within my mind.
For my day has been dry and dreary
with too many hours unkind.
The leaves are as wet as my eyes have been
and yet they must feel clean.
Perhaps they can transfer that feeling
to my rainy night time scene.
I'm still awake but the sound is gone.
The rain has ended now.
I will try again to fall asleep
without the rain somehow.

When I wake up in the morning time and see the sun I say
Hallelujah, thank you Jesus for waking me up today
I think about his goodness and the wonderful things he's done;
Forgiving me, setting me free and casting my sins away

When I Feel The Rain I Live
Outside it's raining and i'm watching at my window,
In silence of the world, only the dance of rain i could feel,
My thoughts are in torment of questions and answers,
Only the rain knows what i need.
Rain falls gradually in the rhythm of my thoughts,
I feel it's wrapping my pain,
The voice of rain calming my senses,
When my heart is rushing to beat.
I'm watching rain from window,
The cold drops are touching the thirsty ground,
My soul is the same as the soil,
It needs love as much the soil needs rain.
I'm walking in cold rain,
Like crystal pearls are falling from the sky,
When touching my skin it's like magic,
I feel my soul light and released of pain.

Someone Cares....
soft cold early autumn rain....
kept looking for ghosts on the way home.
there is a stillness now, and a waiting,
though i know not for what.
i've always been different,
heard voices in the shadows.
and often i dont know,
whether i'm dreaming, or a dream.
i've seen things that should have been nightmares....
i've seen the hungry child dying in the rose that blooms!
i look at people and feel their sorrow.
i hear what they're saying when they cant speak.
i go with old people into their graves,
and weep with addicts in broken alleys.
i have no color, or nationality....
those with religion spurn my company.
i'm not a patriot for any man,
i follow only the law of my heart.
i feel the guilt of injustice and indifference...
and carry responsibility like a cross.
i have no illusions about my virtue,
and understand that truth has a cost.
and most of all i've found a sameness,
in the very difference....
so let it rain, let the darkness speak,
we have been friends for hundreds of years.
