Gala
Gala hangs from the window frame
Dressed in black and white
Her face is colourless
In the moonlight
She turns around and her lips move
But the words just drop away
She leans on the back of a chair
And her arms begin to sway
She and I can hear voices
Talking in the room next door
Saying things we used to say
That we cant believe in any more
Weve seen too many castles crumble
Made too many innocent mistakes
Who could have known that one house
Could hold so much heartbreak?
And then the clockbell rings
The wind blows in -
Gala makes for the door.
Her eyes blaze
And her hands are shaking
She opens her mouth and roars!
Gala doesnt want, gala doesnt need
She claws at her face
With her nails till it bleeds
She runs down the stairs
In her poor bare-feet
Shes too woman to cry or go down on her knees
Then her mother is there
And her voice is soft
She pulls gala close
She soothes galas cuts
And gently chides
And gala knows...
That gala shouldnt worry
She neednt be afraid
Because there are sailors on the sea tonight
In ships that God made
Look! they cast out the line
With a heave two-three-four
And they sing as they pull
Our lost souls aboard

School theme 15. Sir, you’ve shaken off a bad habit.
- Sir! Can’t you see me shake?
__________________________- And what?
- You haven’t given the homework.
- I remember, but you began
To shake like an aspen leaf when
I gave you this test.
__________________- It’s done.
- Really?
________- And no one
Helped me.
___________- That sounds great!
I think it’s my gala day!
Tell me why you were nervous, Jess.
- The test shook me up.
___________________- It was less
Difficult than the last one.
_______________________- I saw,
Yes, and couldn’t believe my eyes, Sir!
- You want to ask me something.
___________________________- Sir,
Will you, please, hurry up?
_______________________- What for?
- The break will begin soon.
________________________- Yes,
It‘s not begun.
______________- The homework…
______________________________- Jess,
You had a test, I shan’t give you
Any tasks.
___________- Sir, in my view
You’ve shaken off it! Not too bad!
Yes! ! ! Gala day, Sir! Is that flat?

Our Motto
Congratulations on your recent victory,
Senator.
'Thank you so much.
We are thrilled to be here.'
We appreciate you granting us access,
For this interview...
And trust your campaign for transparency,
Extends to allow further discussions...
That are open to us in the future.
'Of course.
By all means.'
I'd like to ask a few questions?
'Anything.
We are not going to be,
Like the current administration.
Say one thing and mean another.
Remember I said that.'
I will.
Senator...
You and your collegues won,
Over the other party...
Because of failed policies.
And excessive spending.
Yet...
Tonight,
Not only were we not granted admission,
To your welcoming gala this evening.
But also...
Your party is spending millions,
For this festive gala.
Can you explain that?
This seems to be a contradiction.
'Of course.
There is no contradiction at all.
Had you ever given a surprise party for anyone?
And the surprise was to ensure...
A cushion of funds would assist them on their way? '
No!
Not at all.
That's hypocritical.
'We wanted our opponents to curb their spending.
Those habits must end.
We,
On the other hand...
We,
Will reign over any spending.
And make this an exclusive endeavor.
And that is why the people elected us.'
I see!
'No you wont!
And that's the key.
Spend, spend, spend wisely.
Without needless scrutiny.
That is our motto.'

Silence Speaks
Silence speaks
A thousand Words
As the beautiful girl
Arrives at the gala ball
Wearing a stunning
Shut your mouth dress.
Drop dead gorgeous the mind is fed,
Even the men say to themselves in their heads
I'm feeling lucky "May I have this dance! "

I used to hang out with Salvador Dali a lot. He was such a nice man. I really liked his wife Gala, too. People say that she was tricky, but she was never difficult with me.

I found myself getting more publicly shy when the gala events and big crowds started. Some people embrace it. To me, it's not worth enough to risk my private life being public.

Dali Professes his Love
I must climb you like a spine
revel in you like a yodeler in a cave
devote a continent to you
have no conscience about driving
natives from your land
I must erect a statue to you
or an obsidian obelisk polished
till the sun can’t shine on you
and clouds are unable to
obscure your magnificence
I want to curl across you
As if you were a frozen pond
and I were a curling stone
I will ride upon you
like Captain Ahab
lashed to your side with flotsam
and ragged sails
and beckon you with my dead arm
I will sing to you
with a voice like the sirens
drowning in your pillars
I must ignite a charge of trinitrotoluene
to announce your arrival
roll out a thousand feet
of a slave made rug
before introducing you
as my Gala

Sonnet: A Miracle in Life by Jesus!
I came to know of Jesus right from birth!
I had full Catholic- Schooling background;
I sought and ran after all kinds of mirth;
I had bad friends and went the world around.
One bad decision led to another;
I went to parties and abused substance;
I had a ‘gala’ time with men, brother!
I never knew my misdeeds’ ‘importance’!
Something told me that something was missing;
My new affairs did not give me more joy;
There was no thrill from sex, drugs or kissing;
I wished to be a better woman coy.
When Jesus touched my heart one day again,
My soul was back to grace of God: I’m sane!

A Flaminingo Should be More than Pink
A flamingo should be
More than just pink
Don’t you think?
It’s a nice color
But they could come
in others-
Oh it would be sweet
not just pink
perhaps blue
Green or red
Some plaid too
Maybe
Polka dot too
would be ever so nice
so boring it is
at a gala you see
to come dressed
in the same
again and again
So I’d like to propose
To someone who knows
That a flamingo
Can change
their color at will
for a flamingo should be more than just pink

Stars in My Future
Lit candles glowing in night skies
Are stars
Announcing heavenly banquets
And prodding me to brave up every storm
That endangers the voyage of my life
By lighting up my soul
With songs and smiles
Floodlights that dispel gloom here
While looking forward to ascending up there
The ultimate prize on graduation here
Attending celestial gala nights
Accompanying the Father.

F o x... In... B r a s s...
Tawny beige, young crystal fox...
she carries her arrogance well,
poisingly... 'pon narrowed shag,
plush, wine-deep burgandy.
No Gaultier Catwalk,
this be prologue
to an attitude dripping
hubrisly,
poutingly;
so damn angrily,
thickly fulfilingly -
strutting toe o'er toe -
yet with masked self-woe... such paradox.
No, Dramas' never seen the likes of her before,
All rise for her gala Brass encore!

Year of Jubilee
Midas belier of the mammon dark
Sparkle your tentacles of neon caress
Strata of lost soul
Coconut milk on islands of fear
The judgment of industrial might
The separate man of golden god
Made of bias and false goals
Gala of prejudice
Retreat into the lost kingdom
Narrow gates shelter the meek
Ire of status
Labels burn in your coffin
Serene shelter at the cross
Values born in Gethsemane
All this stolen land
Stolen identity
Slavery
Man incapable of divine justice
These nations shall die by the sword
The year of jubilee shall win

Nameless Song
A man sips his cup of tea and asks himself what happiness is.
A woman squeezes a lemon in fist and seeks her joy.
A child gazes at a toy and longs for it.
Like a boat floating on waters
Stars glimpsing on the heaven
A lunar breezing spreads slivery powder in darkness
Late-night murmurs from dungeon of souls are heard and die
Blue blood in trees’ vessels freezing
Lonely peace emperor’s gala goes on in silence
On the anniversary of his thousand-year coronation
The man looks at image on the mirror to track time in wrinkles
The woman whispers gone is gone
And the child sinks in the pond of dreams

Bring me the sunset in a cup
128
Bring me the sunset in a cup,
Reckon the morning's flagons up
And say how many Dew,
Tell me how far the morning leaps—
Tell me what time the weaver sleeps
Who spun the breadth of blue!
Write me how many notes there be
In the new Robin's ecstasy
Among astonished boughs—
How many trips the Tortoise makes—
How many cups the Bee partakes,
The Debauchee of Dews!
Also, who laid the Rainbow's piers,
Also, who leads the docile spheres
By withes of supple blue?
Whose fingers string the stalactite—
Who counts the wampum of the night
To see that none is due?
Who built this little Alban House
And shut the windows down so close
My spirit cannot see?
Who'll let me out some gala day
With implements to fly away,
Passing Pomposity?

The storm through the window..
The cotton clouds gather slowly just above me,
Having gala storm and fireworks at half past three,
Grey veiled granny clouds join the young and white,
Just hide the Matron Sun and her blooms out of sight.
Warm air refrigerated in the open earth's space,
The hearty wind blows swiftly and nicely over the face,
The darkened rooms make me to touch the closed switch,
Gathered cousins hit one another to flash the white light,
Snaky lightening blast the transformer as usual,
Lazy thunder and the blast echo one after,
Tired family start to cry in a short while,
With the splash of water rake through quarter mile,
Bored of crying, whining, shouting and flashing,
The guests disperse for time being until next gathering,
The collected water on the roof top of high rise,
start to flow through the broken gutter as water fall,
sway back to forth to the instruction of winds,
the underprivileged street children come out to have their bath,
just following the shower of water on its path.

A Song & Dance
Well bring on the band
And the melody man
Let the mockingbirds sing along
Its a wonderful life
And the night is young
Well ladies and gents
The gala presents
A symphony in disguise
Its a wonderful thing
The clouds in your eyes
Ill do my song and dance for your this night
Ill sing you things you came to hear
Ill do my song and dance for you this night
Id walk a mile to see you cheer
Well life is a song
That goes on and on
From pittsburgh to peru
Its a wonderful world
Here with you
Ill do my song and dance for your this night
Ill sing you things you came to hear
Ill do my song and dance for you this night
Id walk a mile to see you cheer
This is my song and dance for you this night
Ive walked a mile to see you cheer
