Tribute To Courage

Courage is doing what is right
Without having to be told
Courage is manning up
When you know you've done something wrong
Courage is looking the enemy in the eye
And telling them to just bring it
Courage is having fear
But still staying strong
Courage is facing adversity
But being able to overcome it
Courage is leaving your family behind
To defend the country you love
Courage is being a soldier
In the greatest army in the world
Thank you for this courage
That lets us live free
May God bless you
And come home safely to your families

What Gives You Courage

Without fear there cannot be courage
Fear drives the unthinkable out of us

What gives you courage when there is none?
What gives you courage to get out of bed?
What gives you courage to drive when you know it's dangerous?
What gives you courage to succeed?
What gives you courage to survive?
What gives you courage to strive?

People have courage to live for their children
People have courage to live for themselves
People have courage to live for hope
People have courage because they believe
People have courage to not give up

Fear is not the essence of life
But a free soul not tamed

Courage is the journey of your heart
Guided by strength
On a path of untamed obstacles

Let courage guide you
As you begin your quest

Dorothy Thompson

Courage, it would seem, is nothing less than the power to overcome danger, misfortune, fear, injustice, while continuing to affirm inwardly that life with all its sorrows is good that everything is meaningful even if in a sense beyond our understanding and that there is always tomorrow.

What's Courage

Here's a question thats always on the back of your mind
With an answer that's nearly impossible to find
What is courage?
People often mistake courage for bravery
Like someone that looks like a celebrity
Bravery is having little or no fear
Like a dying person who knows the end is near
Courage is overcoming what makes you tremble and shiver
Like knowing you might die but still donating your liver
But courage wouldn't exist without fear
Like intoxication wouldn't exist without beer
So I guess the true question is clear
Not what is courage, but what is fear

In Courage

In courage-you find
no fear
and in courage-no weakness
does appear
In courage-steps toward
danger taken
and in courage-strength
within awaken
In courage- a hero
takes shape
and in courage- the villain
can't escape
In courage-there is a call
to duty
and in courage-out of ugliness
comes beauty

Defying Gravity

When we stare at each other strangely
There’s something in between our eyes
Something that defies gravity
And we think it’s called courage
But it’s not- it’s courage mixed with fear
Because courage is fear itself
Courage is knowing what not to fear

This Lifes Journey

The Spirit gives Courage
to fainting hearts.
A seed is planted,
Watered by prayer,
Courage grows-
Reaching ever toward the light.
Standing in God's love
Risks can be taken-
Without fear of failure,
And without fear of success.
Courage is
Walking this lifes journey
Peacefully.
With no fear of others
Or fear of yourself

The Power

We have the power to
To make a difference
It takes a person with courage
And determination
A leader has the power to change
And inspire others
A role model can lead and
Direct the path to success
Parents have power
Over their children
Good parents can make their
Child's life a success
A child has the power to believe
In what they want to believe in
Nobody can top them from
Fulfilling their dreams
A teacher has the power to teach
Students all that they need to learn
Only students that are determined to
Achieve will use their knowledge
A coach has the power to make
His players a team
I have the power to believe, and achieve
Anything that I put my mind to
I have the power to lead and succeed
I am a person, of courage and of power

Open Hearts Break Easily

Fright is instinctive fear, designed to protect us from physical danger.
Worry is fear produced by our worst imaginings.
Guilt is fear caused by a troubled conscience.
Insecurity is fear prompted by feelings of inadequacy.

Dread is fear generated by life’s fundamental uncertainty.
I have also come to recognize three distinct kinds of courage, defined, in this case, according to their objective.
We require:
The Courage to Act–because performing is a gutsy thing to do.
The Courage to Love–because open hearts break easily.
The Courage to Be–because, all by itself, life can be frightening.

Coffee Courage

The bitter coffee kicked;
I shook and then I licked
My lips and gave a sigh.

Shattered eyes encouraged,
I nearly had envisaged
Waking up an eye.

Another sip; a jolt –
Not unlike a bolt
Of wattage from the mains.

My sockets under strain,
I tried it once again:
Aha! The light, the searing white –
My God, the bloody pain!

Magic Power (for Karen)

There's a sphere
called 'Magic Power'
and it lives inside of you.
No one else can see it
for it's invisible.
It's for when you're feeling frightened,
when you're feeling scared,
just call on magic power
and it will be right there.
No, you won't need a telephone
and you won't need to shout
just muster up the courage
from deep within your heart.
Magic power will hear you
and be right by your side
creating special energy
for each and every child.
Red head, brown or blonde
each have their very own
to help them overcome the dark,
to help them to be strong.
So when the world is scary
dig inside yourself
and you'll find your magic power.
and remember what I've said.....

Fear Is Not A Fault

Fear is not a fault
There's no need to lay blame
Fear is not a fault
Though it can kill and maim

Fear is not a fault
And can be overcome
Fear is not a fault
Though it's usually not much fun

Fear can tighten around and around
Your mind needs to be gently unwound
All the wrinkles and knots smoothed away
To make for a much more enjoyable day

Our Greatest Fear

it walks with us in the day
it sleeps with us in the night
it darkened your inner soul
it takes over your body with controlled
it hate you down to your bone
it scares you till the morning glows
it will never stop fight you until you let go
it will always be there till you dropp on your toes
for fears have no flesh
but it scares us always
fear have no eyes it can't see us
fear have no weapon it cannot shoot us
fear have no power it can't overcome us
don't let this thing called fear beat you like that
why worried kick the hell out of fear

The New Life of Us....

I wish courage is a sweet candy…
The sweet you will like…
The things I can buy everywhere…
Not the fear you have to confront..
Not the doubt you have within…

I am here begging you to look inside…
For there is a lot of courage there…
That you’ve tried to put aside…
Every time there is no flare…
That brings hope to your side…

I wish I could convince you…
There is life in every movement…
There is power in every change…
There is joy in every sadness….
And there is courage in every fear…

I wish I could tell you…
All courage starting from within..
To let go of certainties…
And begin to wander on the impossibility…
That brings courage to live…

I wish I could embrace your trembling heart…
With fire from an eternal courage…
It will make all your weary nights fade away…
The best way out is always through the line of this fire…

I wish I could hold your hands…
Put it gently in mine….
And whisper to you for one more time…
Hope is the language understood by the hurting heart…
Hope shines brighter than the brightest star during the darkest night…

To take a hand and hold on tight to your hope and courage…
It is the beginning of a healing…
Trust your heart is much stronger than any steel…
And may the healing power be the flowers of your garden…
And Hope be the corona of the sun…
That shine upon to welcome a new morning of your life…

My dear friend, be friend with your fear…
Let the fear guide you to find your own courage…
The time to start is now…
The place to start is here…
When life challenge you the most….

May hope cast its special light upon your path…
Bless everything you touch in every moment….
And courage stand beside you all the time…
With its sweet flavor like a candy in a store…

And I simply shed tears for one times more….
For our victory will be waiting at the front door…
New life will be waiting for us like a beautiful seashore….
And my dear friend, it’ll be something about you I adore….

Strong Courage

My courage is STRONG
It is the strongest people have seen in a while
The kind you rarely see

My courage is when I stand up to people
My courage is when I tell the truth and not be afraid
My courage is when I help someone and put myself in danger to help
My courage is not being scared of a risky task
My courage is speaking my mind without any worries
My courage is STRONG

The Power of Ideas

The power of ideas are immeasurable
They are the hidden treasures which lies
Deep within each and everyone of us
When we take the time to mind them we will find
That they are more precious than diamonds

Ideas which may seem insignificant
Has tremendous power within them
They are the genesis the initiation the foundation
Of all invention and everything which
Is created by humankind

The power of ideas are immeasurable
They have got the power to move mountains
To overcome any obstacle and to make
The seemingly impossible possible

Ideas are the levers which moves and the axis
On which the world revolves
The power of ideas are immeasurable
The power of ideas...

Fear (A Note To Self)

Fear-a corruption of logic, reason and ration-
Enemy of the mind's progress and the heart's passion;
Gratefully, this scourge too, has a most-powerful cure-
Courage-courage drowns fear and ceases its lure!

Fret not matters where there exists not, reason, nor rhyme-
Look inward, to the magic of your heart's most-inspired time;
Fate's intervention was to hasten calm-all else, it simply banishes;
Listen to this exhortation, lest the true you wither, then simply vanishes!

Should fear's apparition present, or its specter, loom near-
Over and over, in your mind's ear, shout: 'fear lives not here! ';
Patience too, may be a powerful measure against dread's hold-
As time wends, your mind shall marry with what I have foretold!

I am the wind of abiding truth, steadfast love, and most-prescient glory-
Fear me not-for I lovingly endeavor, to recite your heart's untold story!

There will be and can be no rest till we admit, what cannot be denied, that there is in man a third faculty, which I call simply the faculty of apprehending the Infinite, not only in religion, but in all things; a power independent of sense and reason, a power in a certain sense contradicted by sense and reason; but yet, I suppose, a very real power, if we see how it has held its own from the beginning of the world — how neither sense nor reason has been able to overcome it, while it alone is able to overcome both reason and sense.
