Heel Of A Stranger
I was 17 and I thought you were one in a million
I never dreamed anyone (would) ever take you away
And at 21 tied the knot with a holy union
But I never thought Id live to regret that day
* you put a scar on my heart I cant cover up and hide
Im on the ropes in the corner with no fighter left inside
** under the heel of a stranger he holds you captive by his charms
I saw the signs but not the danger now hes the hero in your arms
Every night you go out tell me its with a friend
You come back late know youve seen him again
And at 29 I realize the dreaming has to end
Although Ive lost your love still the ghost remains
* repeat
** repeat
Oh yeah,
(instrumental break ) ** repeat 2.75 more times

Beautiful Thought
Beautiful thought
I had.
Beautiful thought
I dreamed.
Beautiful thought,
pulled from obscurity
dwells in me.
Beautifully aching,
testing limits of control
pushing,
assaulting my conscience,
taking its toll.
Beautiful thought
I had.
Beautiful thought
I dreamed.
This thought
that plagues, torments,
over joys, frees me
perhaps is
key.
This thought that came
of love inspiring love
came gently, softly,
slowly, costly
it may be
beauty
That inspires an artist
in his craft,
or humor that
inspires one
to laugh.
Perhaps intrigue
inspires one
to learn.
But love,
only love,
inspires love
in return.
Beautiful thought
I had.
Beautiful thought
I dreamed.
That love given
has inspired
me.

In Glorious Removal
I adorned my life with chaos,
Wanting to fit in!
Wanting to be just like the 'Jones'
With constant arguing that would never end!
I wanted to feel accepted,
So I gossiped with the rest.
I thought I had to dislike someone,
Because my 'friends' thought 'that' was best!
I wanted to pretend my needs were satisfied.
And at home alone I knew I was not...
And alone with 'things' I cried!
Deep inside I was tied up in knots,
A lot!
Well...
It's a new day.
And some 'crap' I cleared away!
Including some folks I thought were close,
To live my life my way!
The only thing I regret,
As I sit in retrospect...
Is the misery grieved by the few who believe,
The life I live they have to inspect and accept!
And I've told them I'm not seeking
Anyone's approval!
In fact...
I've discovered myself again,
Sustained in glorious 'BS' removal!

I Dreamed.
I dreamed a dream and in that dream,
I dreamed that I had dreamed a dream,
Of hope and fairytales come true,
I dreamed a dream and thought of truth,
I dreamed a dream of life and love,
Of fate and angels and God above,
I dreamed a dream of good wishes and friends,
I dreamed a dream I dreaded to end,
But then I woke into my dream,
I dreamed I woke in a world obscene,
I dreamed a dream of violence and hate,
And once again I dreamed of fate,
I dreamed a dream of terror and fear,
I dreamed that each word went unheard,
And so children never spoke a word,
I dreamed a dream of demons and beasts,
I dreamed a dream that ended at last,
I woke in my bed and wondered if,
I dreamed a dream of dreams or if,
I dreamed a dream of truth that night,
And if so I wondered which was truth,
And which was merely a dream.

Satisfied
This summer time I have no fury
No chance of sinking sailing ships
If time stood still Id take aim and fire
For you
For every ocean there must be shore
On which I stand with restless toes
When everything I look for in myself is in you
I feel a little more than empty
But I wanna feel more than full
Its a pity all I have
Is just enough to keep you satisfied
This knot can come undone no matter how we try to keep it tied
Inside this bottle theres a message
You may be drinking way too much
If I had the strength to take the weight of you I would
I feel a little more than empty
But I wanna feel more than full
Its a pity all I have
Is just enough to keep you satisfied
This knot can come undone no matter how we try to keep it tide
Something high it keeps me here
Something that keeps us together
You keep me dry despite the weather
I dont need to feel this way
For you but I do end up feel satisfied
Its a pity all I have
Is just enough to keep you satisfied
This knot can come undone no matter how we try to keep it tied
Its a pity all I have
It just enough to keep you satisfied
This knot can come undone no matter how we try to keep it tide
Its a pity all I have
Is just enough to keep you satisfied
This knot can come undone no matter how we try to keep it tied

Whenever I Wished
I never thought I would be,
The one in need of love.
I had been the one giving,
And not receiving it.
On the basis of my wishes dreamed.
When young and hopes unfulfilled,
Seemed so far away.
I never thought I would be,
The one in need of love.
I knew it would be easy for me.
To have it near me sit as company.
Like a pet accepting.
And here I sit without the love I wish.
Even though in my younger years,
It was given to me too quickly.
And perhaps that is why it was dismissed.
I thought I had to qualify for it,
As a prerequisite.
To have it never go away.
I never thought I would be,
The one in need of love.
I had been giving and not receiving it.
On the basis of my wishes dreamed.
And those wishes seemed for me,
To come have come too easy...
Then.
I never thought I would be,
The one in need of love.
I knew it would be easy for me.
To have it near me sit as company.
Or so I thought.
But I did not see me aging,
Without it near to be given whenever I wished.

A Thought
A THOUGHT
Should I tell you of a dreadful thought,
That makes me breathless, sobbing and crying,
Without her love my life's a knot,
Without me she's a paper flying,
She wept for all my pains, felt my gloom,
Did not sleep when I was away,
The thought that comes to my mind mom!
Will I weep for you or YOU will mourn me?

The Last Song
Yesterday you came to lift me up
As light as straw and brittle as a bird
Today I weigh less than a shadow on the wall
Just one more whisper of a voice unheard
Tomorrow leave the windows open
As fear grows please hold me in your arms
Won't you help me if you can to shake this anger
I need your gentle hands to keep me calm
'Cause I never thought I'd lose
I only thought I'd win
I never dreamed I'd feel
This fire beneath my skin
I can't believe you love me
I never thought you'd come
I guess I misjudged love
Between a father and his son
Things we never said come together
The hidden truth no longer haunting me
Tonight we touched on the things that were never spoken
That kind of understanding sets me free
'Cause I never thought I'd lose
I only thought I'd win
I never dreamed I'd feel
This fire beneath my skin
I can't believe you love me
I never thought you'd come
I guess I misjudged love
Between a father and his son

Love Doesnt Live Here
I wake up each day
Want to sleep that day away
I catch a train
In the rush hour rain
Some people are talkin to me
I dont care what they say
cos I know
Love doesnt live here now youve gone away
Love doesnt live here but Im left to stay
And I thought it was me and you who gave it all
Yes I thought it was me and you who couldnt fall
But its all over now
Over now
Friends on the phone
Life is good. life goes on
But I spend my days
In a heart broken haze
Of movies and lonely tunes
Every song seems to be about you
Oh oh
Love doesnt live here since you went away
Love doesnt live here but I m left to stay
And I thought you and me we were the chosen ones
Yes I thought you and me we sailed into the sun
But its gone. its over now
Do you ever think about it?
Do you want to talk about it with me?
Love doesnt live here since you went away
Love doesnt live here but I m left to stay
And I thought it was me and you who had it all
Yes I thought it was me and you who stood so tall
But its all over now
Yes its all over now
Over now
Its all over now
Love doesnt live here

Who Followed Who
Starting fights that can't be won
Just one round and you'll be gone
When it's lost you'll regret it
Much too hard to forget it
No one to take pity on
So when you try hard
to forget the truth
Look again
Who followed you?
Somehow you thought
Thought that you're hard to lose
But in the end
Who followed who?
Who followed who?
One false step this road is gone
No one here to prove you wrong
When it's lost you'll regret it
Much too hard to forget it
No one to take pity on
So when you try hard
to forget the truth
Look again
Who followed you?
Somehow you thought
Thought that you're hard to lose
But in the end
Who followed who?
Who followed who?
Try
Hard to forget the truth
Look again
Who followed you?
Somehow you thought
Thought that you're hard to lose
But in the end
Who followed who?
So when you try hard
to forget the truth
Look again
Who followed you?
Somehow you thought
Thought that you're hard to lose
But in the end
Who followed who?
Who followed who?
Who followed who?

Knots
tie the knot
cut down the knot
loose the knot
hold the knot
life is filled
with those things
force to knot
avoid to knot
not aware knotted rope
and suddenly get hooked
life is full
with those things
sometimes knot chokes
sometimes it gives hope
you can waste,
choose one, or keep many knots
but life is never far
from those things

x21-Escape
-Jane Spencers
Why still cry? I chose to die,
I should have smiles tonight.
This place is none for bitter lies,
I thought i chose what's right.
I thought that death is an escape
from pain and all my fears.
I thought that death is all but peace,
but here, peace never cares.
I thought that pain would die with me,
that tears have no place here.
But pain endures...and tears endure;
eternal may they be?
I dreamed, i thought...i always thought
that death could set me free.
I wish I could just die again,
or lose my memory.
Are souls eternal? Is this my fate?
I hunger so for life.
Am I forever bound by death?
I thought it's my escape.

Then I Met You
Then I met you
Thought that Id be happy
Going to be so happy
Living life alone and never sharing anything
Thought that I was finished
Thought that I was complete
Thought that I was whole instead of being half of something
Thought that I was growing
Growing older, wiser
Understanding why this world held nothing for my spirit
Thought that I was destined
Destined to be nothing
Destined to be nothing in this world and then I met you.
I met you
Thought that God had failed me
Thought my prayers were useless
Thought that he would never give the chance for me to praise him
Thought the book was written
Thought the game had ended
Thought the song was sung and I could never sing another
Thought my faith was misplaced
Thought my back was broken
Broken by a weight that I was never fit to carry
Thought I knew this city
Thought I knew all about it
And then one night I went to morningside and you were waiting
I met you

Hopes
Braying are we.
Praying are they
For want of rain, found a way.
We feel honoured to get wedded.
Hence cornered and here seated.
A perfect ritual with right wedding attire
Arranged exclusively for their rain desire.
Clad in silk saree and dothi
Glad with flower garlands are we.
Our long ears tied with flower drops,
Sindhoor and holy ash adorning our foreheads,
A traditional music band in high spirits,
With hundreds of guests in high cheers,
The priest conducting with customary incantion,
The holy knot is tied in ovation.
Blessed are we.Cursed is the drought.
Wedding for the rains to be brought.
Untied now are our hind legs.
Happily kicking we run wagging our tails.
Any more donkey wedding? We're your hopes.

Thought It Was Goodbye
Written by ricky, marty & kim wilde
Hello hello hello again
The strangest feelings touch my heart
It didnt cross my mind wed meet again
Wed taken roads so far apart - but...
Just when we thought it was goodbye
Hello hello hello again
The memories drift out of time
The face I used to kiss a million ways
The love I truly thought was mine
I guess we just forgot to talk about it
And so we took the exit sign - but...
Just when we thought it was goodbye
Hello hello hello my love again
We make it seem like our first time
I want to stay inside your life again
To fall apart just seems a crime
And when we thought wed closed the shutters down
And we had nowhere left to start - but...
Just when we thought it was goodbye

I suddenly realized that the fellow who didn't show up was getting about fifty-times more money than I was getting. So I thought, 'this is silly,' and became an actor. I certainly never thought I'd wind up in motion pictures. That was far beyond anything I'd ever dreamed of.

Of God he would not speak.
I thought that he'd believe
though of God he would not speak.
I thought with God he'd stand,
though he'd miss him every week.
I thought that God'd be real
to the man I learned to love.
I thought that he'd see reason
that there's a creator up above.
I thought I'd always knew.
I'd had my suspicions anyway.
I thought that knowledge beforehand
would've stopped truth from darkening my day.
Tying The Knots Of Peace
With knot one,
My spell's begun
May it's power soar
It's for everyone
With knot two
Pure as mountain dew
My motive is
That my wish come true
With knot three
Find Harmony
From Ocean floor
To the tallest tree
By knot four
Open the door
End suffering
And banish war
With knot five
For peace, we'll strive
In tying this cord
My goal comes alive
With knot six
To wings adhere
My wish for peace
An end for fear
With seven knots
Adorn my cord
Be there peace at home
And peace abroad
In tying knot eight
Let peace be our fate
And with knot nine
Peace and love intertwine

Never Dreamed Youd Leave In Summer
I never dreamed youd leave in summer
I thought you would go then come back home
I thought the cold would leave by summer
But my quiet nights will be spent alone
You said there would be warm love in springtime
That was when you started to be cold
I never dreamed youd leave in summer
But now I find myself all alone
You said then youd be the life in autumn
Said youd be the one to see the way
I never dreamed youd leave in summer
But now I find my love has gone away
Why didnt you stay?

When I saw Arnold say that he didn't need a union, because people in his position don't need it, I thought, this is a very naive way to present yourself. It's also kinda dumb about making movies. It doesn't realize how the union movement even helps the star.

Life Is Sweet
It’s graduation night
and something doesn’t feel right
My friends and I are moving on
Everyone is up and gone
My childhood has slipped away
It left without anything to say
This doesn’t feel how I thought it would
Not as happy as I should be….
Is this my life slipping through my fingers
The smell of my childhood still lingers
And I’m feeling scared and alone
Everything I’ve known is close to gone
Now It’s my fourth year of college
Gotten through four years of knowledge
Lost some friends and made some new
Learned some things I thought I knew
Drank too much and studied less
Thought I’d break under all the stress
And now it’s coming to an end
I’m on the road, here comes a bend..
Is this my life slipping through my fingers
The smell of college bars still lingers
And I’m feeling scared and alone
Everything I’ve known is close to gone
This is it, this is my life changing
Everything I’ve ever known is rearranging
Can’t stop it now, won’t even try
Nothing I can do, no need to cry..
And now It’s been ten years
All the work and all the tears
Have paid off in the end
I met a man who’s my best friend
Tied the knot in the fall
Watched our baby learn to crawl
And now my life feels so complete
Life is just so sweet…
