The Pain
No matter how hard I try not to feel

How about your taxes actually used
For your benefit and well being?
Remember the 'family values' slogan?
How about your quality of life,
Being restored...
Before you ignored its slide?
I would say,
Someone's in denial! '
I am still hopeful!
'Great!
I am sending down a life long supply
Of flashlight bulbs and batteries!
Keep trusting 'this' is going to turn around!
You've got a long way down to go!
Apparently...

Absynth Sea.... Warning Not Religious
A cool December sun caresses a milky absynth sea
Golden shimmers
Fall below shallow murky clouds
I cycle and realise as i sing and smile and swerve
Revelation...
Deep intense to me
This is Heaven
This is
As good as it gets......
Why do we not see
Why must the whole planet raise hands to a hopeful sky
Praying, three Hail Mary's and all that jazz
Why do we believe we deserve more
Even though
We have been given one beautiful precious snippet
Of life here....now
To love be loved breathe smile and share
Yet instead we conform
Doing less than we could
For fear of being thrust into the depths of hell
For being un good
This is Heaven

No raised odds

The World Through My Window
Bright sunshine and golden afternoon
Is what I see from my window at noon
Where tender smiles of the lovely clouds
All clear my life's pain and doubt
I learn to impose the rhythm of life
In all the moments and events that survive
When I let go all my past fear
And swap them fairly with faith and cheer
And I put my faith in Gracious God
Who holds my hands in every odd
And heal my wounds and my pain
To show me a glimpse of peace and fain
This is what I see and feel
When I learn to hold on life's deal
And re-establish my faith in life
Where I am bound to live and survive
Life opens the gift of bliss and peace
On my injured life with hopeful lease
Where I do somersaults in rainbow hue
And brighten my life with sun's warmth too
And this is what I see now dear
The world through my window with cheer
Where life smiles back with faith and hope
To show me new vision of life without mope.

Confession
I summoned my courage
To help me manage
Whatever the reply is,
Coz' I don't want to cry about this
I asked you one question
But you gave me a suggestion
I don't know if it means yes or a no
But can you tell me already so I'll know
I allowed myself to be hopeful
Each day is so blissful
Every day I am very cheerful
I always think I am so fateful
But after a few days
I saw you with someone else
All the days that I spent being hopeful
Now my heart is so painful
Now I understand
Your suggestion was to protect me
How foolish of me to misunderstood.
