In My Daughter's Eyes
In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be

Hello Daddy,
Remember me?
The little girl you used to fondly present,
Now the young women you so often resent.
Trapped in the deep darkness of depresion,
You just shunned me into unappreciation.
Drunken arguments tore us apart,
Now you want to rid your life- of what you used to love with all of your heart.

I was the child of the night
Dark is my father
The moon is my mother
Star of stars was my sister

My father is a symbol of fear and helplessness

My daughter said something the other day
We were sitting on the front steps, talking
Someone wanted to enter the building, she stood up and said 'we're just having a father daughter moment'
