(r. hine, j. obstoj)
Producer: rupert hine
Album: non-album track
B-side of the australian steamy windows single
From the the best uk/europe 12 and cd5
So yo think youve got a hold on me
But did you ever, or is that your fantasy.
Ill miss you when you go,
But, no pain wont show
Im free to search and go my way.
So bold, so bold and reckless.
I suppose youve been good to me
Maybe not enough to rock my sanity.
You never asked me questions,
And you never understood.
Im free to search and go my way.
So bold, so bold and reckless.
So bold, yeah bold and reckless.
Well, I cant live in a cage,
Ive just got to be free, dancin and flyin away.
But your always in my dreams, runin
Yes, your always in my dreams, runin
So weve been gettin closer by degree
But, you wont ever bring me to my knees.
Youll never make me shy,
And you wont see me cry.
Im still free to go my way.
So bold, so bold and reckless.
So bold, still bold and reckless.
Yes, you were always in my dreams runin
Always in my dreams.
So bold, so bold and reckless.
Yeah, yeah, so bold and reckless.
Yeah, yeah, so bold and reckless.
Still bold, still bold and reckless.
Still bold, still bold and reckless.

Bold As Love

Anger he smiles, towering in shiny metallic purple armour
Queen jealousy, envy waits behind him
Her fiery green gown sneers at the grassy ground
Blue are the life-giving waters taken for granted,
They quietly understand
Once happy turquoise armies lay opposite ready,
But wonder why the fight is on
But theyre all bold as love, yes, theyre all bold as love
Yeah, theyre all bold as love
Just ask the axis
My red is so confident that he flashes trophies of war and
Ribbons of euphoria
Orange is young, full of daring,
But very unsteady for the first go round
My yellow in this case is not so mellow
In fact Im trying to say its frigthened like me
And all these emotions of mine keep holding me from, eh,
Giving my life to a rainbow like you
But, Im eh , yeah, Im bold as love
Yeah, yeah
Well Im bold, bold as love (hear me talking, girl)
Im bold as love
Just ask the axis (he knows everything)
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Reckless

You make me reckless, reckless everyday
You make me reckless
Standin by the disco floor
Spot this girl
My heart jump and move
Yeah, yeah
Walk over said to her
Lovely things
She said I was a fool
Oh no
She said
This is not the right time baby
I came here to groove
Hmmmmmmm
And recklessly
I took my time
When I look back
The girls had made a move
Yeah, yeah
The music played on, played on
Why didnt you make your move
Somebody came on, came on
And stole the girl from you
Its the groove
That makes you move
So come on and get down
To this funky sound
Do what you please
You are entitled to flaunt
Get wild and reckless
If you want
cause the sound we deliver
Will take you higher
Most definately with
Desire, desire, de si si si sire
You make me reckless, reckless everyday
You make me reckless
You make me reckless, reckless everyday
You make me reckless
You make me reckless, reckless everyday
You make me reckless
You make me reckless, reckless everyday
You make me reckless
So as the music play
I had to find a way
To catch her eye
Yeah, yeah
The partner she was with
He did not know how to gig
Said i
Oh no
She said
Mister get away from me
I need a man
That knows how to move
Yeah, yeah
We start to dance
Suddenly a quick romance
Ooooo yeah, yeah
The music played on, played on
Why didnt you make your move
Somebody came on, came on
And stole the girl from you
This is a message
That you should discover
You cant trust a girl
Or judge them by the cover
They can lead you on
And keep you in a daze
Keep you head over heels
And keep you amazed
Its up to you
Whether you fall in the trap
Just remember when you push up
To have a strong rap
Cos now-a-days
Things are real funny
You can bet more than all she wants
Is your money
So listen to what I say
With or without
Yo, the girls is ok
Girls are the same everywhere
You can bet all they want from you
Is what they can get
And when they finish
You can bet that youve tried her
Theyll leave you penniless
With desire
You make me reckless
You make me reckless, reckless everyday
You make me reckless

Eugowra Rocks

It's all about bold Frank Gardiner with the devil in his eye
He said "We've work before us lads we've got to do or die
So blacken up your faces before the dead of night
And its over by Eugowra Rocks we'll either fall or fight"

Chorus: You can sing of Johnny Gilbert Dan Morgan and Ben Hall
But the bold and reckless Gardiner he's the boy to beat them all

We'll stop the Orange escort with powder and with ball
We'll shoot the coach to pieces and we'll down the peelers all
We'll lift the diggers' money we'll collar all their gold
So mind your guns are killers now my comrades true and bold.

So now off go the rifles the battle has begun
The escort started running boys all in the setting sun
The robbers seized their plunder so saucy and so bold
And they're riding from Eugowra Rocks encumbered with their gold

And as with savage laughter they left that fatal place
They cried "We've struck bonanza boys we've won the steeplechase!"
And Gardiner their leader he shouted a loud "Hooray
I think we've made our fortunes at Eugowra Rocks today"

Thunderbolt

I am the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt staying bold.

I'm the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt that remained bold.

You may decide to run and hide.
But I've learned throughout my life...
Those who run let life slip by,
And cry in denial.
Setting themselves up...
For struggles and trials.

When I was young I was often hushed,
I would question too much.
With unedited questions asked.
To connect in my mind to grasp.

I am the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I'm that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt that remained bold.

I am the result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that result of a thunderbolt.
And with a boldness I still hold.

When I was young I was often hushed,
I would question too much.
With unedited questions asked.
To connect in my mind to grasp.

Zip zap crack with answers due.
Answer my questions asked of you!

I'm the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I'm that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt that remained bold.

Zip zap crack with answers due.
Answer my questions asked of you!
I am the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt that remained bold.

There were no shoulders for me to hold.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.
There were no shoulders for me to hold.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that result of a thunderbolt.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.

There were no shoulders with warm holds.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.
I am the result of a thunderbolt.

I might have been precocious!
But not braggadocious.

I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.

Hypnotize

I want to hypnotize you baby
On the telephone
So many times I called your house
Just to hear the tone
And though I knew you werent home
I didnt mind so much cause Im so alone
I want to hypnotize you baby
On the telephone
I want to spin my little watch
Right before your eyes
Youre the kind of girl a guy like me
Could hypnotize
And if this comes as a surprise
Just think of all those guys
Who would tell you lies
I want to spin my little watch
Right before your eyes
I want to hold your little hand
If I can be so bold
And be your right hand man
til your hands get old
And then when all the feelings gone
Just decide if you want to keep holding on
I want to hold your little hand
If I can be so bold
If I can be so bold
If I can be so bold

We See Light

We see light and sound as waves,
Arrows do sell a pain and pang,
Finding us with guile and wit,
Forming a circle of doubt with those who sang.

We saw them in the way so bold,
A bold nature is again resolute,
How is this so fonder to me?
How do we believe in you as astute?

Free free free runnin like a wild child

The Bold Buccaneer

One very rough day on the Pride of the Fray
In the scuppers a poor little cabin-boy lay,
When the Bosun drew nigh with wrath in his eye
And gave him a kick to remember him by,
As he cried with a sneer: “What good are you here?
Go home to your mammy, my bold buccaneer.”

Now the Captain beheld, and his pity upwelled:
With a plug in the peeper the Bosun he felled.
With humility grand he extended his hand
And helped the poor lad, who was weeping, to stand,
As he cried: “Have no fear; I'm the manager here.
Take heart, and you'll yet be a bold buccaneer.”

But how he did flare when the lad then and there
Doffed his cap and shook down a gold banner of hair.
Though his movements were shy, he'd a laugh in his eye,
And he sank on the Captain's broad breast with a sigh,
As he cried: “Is it queer that I've followed you here?
I'm your sweetheart from Bristol, my bold buccaneer.”

On an isle in the west, by the breezes caressed,
The bold buccaneer has a warm little nest,
And he sits there in state amid pieces of eight
And tackles his rum with a manner elate,
As he cries: “O my dear little cabin-boy, here
Is a toast to the babe of the bold buccaneer!”

Brittle Bones

Though I am an old man
With my bones very brittle,
Though I am a poor old man
Worth very little,
Yet I suck at my long pipe
At peace in the sun,
I do not fret nor much regret
That my work is done.

If I were a young man
With my bones full of marrow,
Oh, if I were a bold young man
Straight as an arrow,
And if I had the same years
To live once again,
I would not change their simple range
Of laughter and pain.

If I were a young man
And young was my Lily,
A smart girl, a bold young man,
Both of us silly.
And though from time before I knew
She'd stab me with pain,
Though well I knew she'd not be true,
I'd love her again.

If I were a young man
With a brisk, healthy body,
Oh, if I were a bold young man
With love of rum toddy,
Though I knew that I was spiting
My old age with pain,
My happy lip would touch and sip
Again and again.

If I were a young man
With my bones full of marrow,
Oh, if I were a bold young man
Straight as an arrow,
I'd store up no virtue
For Heaven's distant plain,
I'd live at ease as I did please
And sin once again.

her bold shameful eyes
looks better when she shys
I want to be in her
wishing GOD for it to occur
I live in her eyes
as she dreams I sleep
the two classy eyes
behind the spectacles
I see them
without any obestacles
seeing her eyes
you forget to memorise
thus bold shameful eyes
looks better when she shys

So Bold Are Those Shoulders

It's hard to disapprove someone determined.
Someone like that,
Is not easily swayed to be steered off track.

It is difficult to distract a mind fixed and attached.
As others scheme,
To remove one's hopes and dreams.

So bold are those shoulders,
Of one with reach.
One impossible to convince,
Obstacles can not be leaped.

So bold are those shoulders,
Of one with reach.
Especially if the one that teaches,
Isn't one that follows.
But that one who leads.

It is difficult to distract a mind fixed and attached.
As others scheme,
To remove one's hopes and dreams.

It's hard to disapprove someone determined,
Like that.
Someone who has already been stabbed in the back.

So bold are those shoulders,
Of one with reach.
One impossible to convince,
Obstacles can not be leaped.

So bold are those shoulders,
Of one with reach.
Especially if the one that teaches,
Isn't one that follows.
But that one who leads.

The Volunteer

He leap to arms unbidden,
Unneeded, over-bold;
His face by earth is hidden,
His heart in earth is cold.

Curse on the reckless daring
That could not wait the call,
The proud fantastic bearing
That would be first to fall!

O tears of human passion,
Blue not the image true;
This was not folly's fashion,
This was the man we knew.

Someone New And Someone Old

someone new summons us all
us who are old and
bored us who are not anymore bold
and this someone is filled with courage
and length of perorations
what it is how it was and where we
all shall go
where we once were
how we were patterned
us all of us who are all old and
bored
merely listen not expecting
not wanting
and when this someone who is new
and daring is finished
we who are old and not anymore bold
shall leave him

we are taking nothing

The Reveille

Trumpets of the Lancer Corps
Sound a loud reveille;
Sound it over Sydney shore,
Send the message far and wide
Down the Richmond River side.
Boot and Saddle, mount and ride,
Sound a loud reveille.
Whither go ye, Lancers gay,
With your bold reveille?
O'er the ocean far away
From your sunny southern home,
Over leagues of trackless foam
In a foreign land to roam,
With your bold reveille.

When we hear our brethren call,
Sound a clear reveille.
Then we answer, one and all,
Answer that the world may see,
Of the English stock are we,
At their side we still will be,
Sound a bold reveille.

English troops are buried deep.
Sound a soft reveille.
In this foreign land asleep,
Underneath Majuba Hill,
Lying sleeping very still,
Nevermore those squadrons will
Answer to reveille.

Onward without fear or doubt,
Sound a bold reveille.
'Till that shame is blotted out.
While our Empire's bounds are wide,
Britons all stand side by side,
Boot and saddle, mount and ride.
Hear the bold reveille.

Golden Yarns

Yarns we spin of old,
Makes the young bold.
They when hearing it,
Go in search of spirit,
Learn to chant and sing,
Doth timely rains bring.
Finding their inner soul,
And become really bold.
The old ways try and do,
Walk true the path anew,
Continually on the way,
Both at night and in day,
To search in any weather,
Bear claw; eagle feather;
Much pain; no tears cried;
To a new brave with pride.
The elders smile and nod.
On the good path to trod,
Much better than all gold,
Are the yarns spun of old.
