Tiny Doctors
I'm never sad anymore since the day
I found out something about myself
Now I know that I have a thing in me
I can say I'm in the clear
(2x)
Tiny, tiny doctors, doctors
Swimming in my veins
Taing care of business inside me
Clearing up the illness and pain
Helpful, very concerned
Putting all their medical experience to work

Happy Doctor's Day,2012! ' Let All Indians Say Today
Respect the white coat that all doctors wear;
Respect the stethoscope with which they hear;
Respect the prescriptions they write and tear;
Respect all doctors for they truly care!
To treat diseases, some doctors do dare;
They try their best for all patients to fare;
Some of them are doyens, pioneers rare;
Some do miraculous feats, at which all stare!
Wish doctors all, ‘A Happy Doctors Day! '
Thank them for their hard work and pray today;
Remember, they keep diseases at bay;
Most doctors do their jobs in noble way!

Without true medical liability reform, our doctors will continue to leave, and young doctors coming out of medical school $100,000 to $200,000 in debt will not be able to afford such onerous costs.

Doctor's Day In India
Though once a year comes Doctor's Day,
Let us celebrate it;
‘A noble profession', all say;
Accolades, let's befit.
All doctors must improve health-care
Of world's sick/suffering souls;
Let doctors toil for sick-welfare,
Assuming varied roles.
The world needs better doctors more -
A dedicated lot;
They form the health-providers core -
A sacrificing slot!
May doctors work most selflessly;
May patients benefit;
May doctors serve them faultlessly,
And heal all, bit by bit!

Doctor's Day 2012
Most Doctors…
Try their best to heal;
Do not try to steal;
Use their ken to deal
With patient's problems and do feel!
All Doctors…
Are just humans too;
Try to be humane and do
Their duty with ethics due,
Upgrading knowledge new.
A few Doctors…
May make errors great;
May fleece patients poor;
May not perform to their best,
And earn a bad name for the rest!
Doctors…
Are a noble lot and lucky slot,
Whose toil is praised but soon forgot;
Sacrifice their life-times but cannot
Find time to check own health from rot!
Wish Doctors all, ‘A Happy Doctors Day! '
May they labour, come what may;
For their kind work, may God repay
With heaven, and bless them His way!

Still Smoking a Rant
A cigarette will soothe away
the stress and troubles of the day.
That’s what the doctors used to say.
When I was young
When feel down and skies are grey
a smoke will drive the blues away.
That’s what the doctors used to say.
When I was young.
A smoke will help you work and play
and do no harm in any way
That’s what the doctors used to say.
When I was young.
New fads and fancies come along.
Without admitting they were wrong.
The doctors sing a different song.
Now I am old.
If they were wrong why should we
believe their latest theory.
The doctors sing a different song.
Now I am old.
Smokers die younger so they say
younger than who I ask today.
The doctors sing a different song.
Now I am old.
I have smoked since I was ten,
part of my daily regimen.
The doctors sing a different song.
Now I am old.
Presumably I should be dead.
If I believed the lies we’re fed
The doctors sing a different song.
Now I am old.
The choice is yours to quit or smoke.
Myself I treat it as a joke.
The song the doctors sing today.
I am quite old
Both smokers and non smokers die
which I accept I don’t ask why
Despite the song the doctors sing.
I’m still smoking.

There Once Was A Tiny Girl
there once
was a tiny girl
who grew up
in this world
there once
was a tiny girl
who cried herself to sleep
every night
there once
was a tiny girl
who wore the same dress
every day
there once
was a tiny girl
who wouldn't go out
and play
there once
was a tiny girl
who would bleed and have bruises
from head to toe
there once
was a tiny girl
who begged
daddy, please no more
there once
was a tiny girl
who the angels
heard her prayer
they came down
and took her
to a better place
where that tiny girl
found love
instead of hate

Doctors
They work with herbs
and penicillin
They work with gentleness
and the scalpel.
They dig out the cancer,
close an incision
and say a prayer
to the poverty of the skin.
They are not Gods
though they would like to be;
they are only a human
trying to fix up a human.
Many humans die.
They die like the tender,
palpitating berries
in November.
But all along the doctors remember:
First do no harm.
They would kiss if it would heal.
It would not heal.
If the doctors cure
then the sun sees it.
If the doctors kill
then the earth hides it.
The doctors should fear arrogance
more than cardiac arrest.
If they are too proud,
and some are,
then they leave home on horseback
but God returns them on foot.

Little Guns
Tiny people, with little guns
Little armies march, to little drums
What do they want?
What do they want?
Tiny soldiers, with little guns
Little tanks, no bigger than your thumb
They want you
Little people, with tiny brains
Little bullets flowing, in their veins
What do they want?
What do they want?
Tiny people with little guns
Little armies march, to little drums
They want you, you
You, you, you, you
Little airplanes, with tiny bombs
Little squadrons, dropping thimbles of napalm
They want you
What do they want?
What do they want?
Tiny people, with little guns
Little armies march, to little drums
You, you
You, you, you, you
Tiny people, little guns
Tiny people, little guns
Tiny people, little guns

Fortune Is All I Care
Addiction to faith as knowledge is insane,
For the belief in you carries a burden.
Insanity carries genius, forsaken one,
Forsaken one please describe the knowledge.
To complete genius in one’s lifetime
You spend another life as an existence;
Fortnightly, the cure to all illness is taken,
Fortune married itself to the men of doctors.
The doctors are in this life, forsaken one,
For me, the whole world needed a doctor.
Doctors compose cures to make an effect of healing,
Yet addiction is a knowledge, not a wisdom.

Can You Smell The Rain…This Is A True Story
A child was premature
Only after 24 weeks her mother gave birth
She was only 12 inches long
When she came into this world
Her mother and father
Were waiting for news
And as always
Doctors filled them with gloom
She will not live for very long
And if she does complications
Will unfold
She will be blind
She will be deaf
She will be retarded
She has not fully developed yet
Tears abashed as she cried in pain
Both parents distraught
At their tiny daughters plight
They said their prayers
They had their faith
The asked the lord
To watch over her
She survived 2 months
She was breathing still
They were fianaly able to hold her
Small tiny body in their arms
But still the Doctors said
She would not live long
And each time her parents
Would cry once more
This can't be true
She's breathing still
They said their prayers
They had their faith
The asked the lord
To watch over her
Two more months
Had passed on by
And still she breathed
And still she was alive
But alas the Doctors did say
She will not survive
Another day
Distraught once again
Her parents were sad
And once again they
Bowed their heads
They said their prayers
They had their faith
The asked the lord
To watch over her
Now five years on
She runs and plays
And does everything
A little girl does
And then one day
While out on a trip
With her loved ones
Her family and friends
She was chatting to mom
About things from the day
Of playing with friends
And her family
When suddenly she paused
And said out loud
Can you smell that?
Her mother concerned
Looked up to the sky
It was just about
To rain outside
She nodded to her
And said with a smile
Why yes little one
I can smell the rain
But shaking her head
She said no not that
Can't you smell that?
Puzzled she smiled
As she shook her head
Why yes my dear child
It's about to rain
Her daughter just smiled
And shook her head
Then patted her shoulders
And said out loud
It smells like him! ! !
Then her mother just wept
As her father smiled
And realized she was
Talking about God
The rain had stopped
The sun came out
She yelled with glee
I want to go play
She hugged her mom
Smiled at her dad
Its ok mom
It was just only God
Then ran off to play

Valentine's Day
Oh! I wish I were a tiny browny bird from out the south,
Settled among the alder-holts, and twittering by the stream;
I would put my tiny tail down, and put up my tiny mouth,
And sing my tiny life away in one melodious dream.
I would sing about the blossoms, and the sunshine and the sky,
And the tiny wife I mean to have in such a cosy nest;
And if some one came and shot me dead, why then I could but die,
With my tiny life and tiny song just ended at their best.

Are We Ill?
How many men are against us when we are ill?
Illness desires you as a last resort, when ill.
The magnificent and the abhorrent ailments
Need both cures, again and again in the hospital.
The hospital is for doctors who care,
And the nurses are fearful of you.
Patients need patience to adore the health
Of a nation in pity for their condition.
The pities are seldom seen in youth
As they are in public or private.
May the men who are against us be quiet
Now that illness is the past.

Country Doctors
The quiet country doctors
Of many a country town,
Whose lives are spent to service bent,
With scant hope of renown
Those sturdy country doctors,
That walk the healer's way,
At beck and call of one and all
That pain be smoothed away.
Those patient country doctors,
That journey day and night
By country roads to far abodes
To ease some sufferer's plight;
Thro' fire and flood and tempest
They make their pilgrimage
To bring release and healing peace,
The comforters of age.
Those modern country doctors,
They do not advertise;
Surcease they bring for suffering
And hope to pain-filled eyes.
These be their ends to be man's friends,
And so they shape and plan,
Divorced from greed to serve man's need,
And give their lives to man.
Those quiet country doctors,
Unsung, unknown to fame,
Refusing none what may be done
In skilful healing's name
Philosophers, friends, mentors,
Thro' pain and death and birth,
And who shall say that such as they
Are not salt of the earth?

Tiny Drop
Waste of Tiny, Tiny Water Drops.
Always Trigger my Conscious Thoughts.
A Tiny Water Drop can make a Sapling Laugh
Tiny, Tiny water Drops can get you sweet Pod.
Tiny, Tiny Water Drops can make a Plant to Stand
As a Tree, This can give Shelter to a Lot.
Because of Waste of Tiny, Tiny water Drops
Many lives have become short.
So try to save even tiny water Drop, Which will
Get you Heartily Laugh.

The Space Doctors
The doctors on board scrabble forward in the corridors,
Ahead of those who struggle, those enlightening few
That are abhorrent and blue in pain, never in blithe moods
But forsaking the doctors of the star ship, damaging themselves,
Falling into the mysterious planet with their thoughts and brain.
The way back to the ocean of black space is dangerous,
Full of courage is the doctor who steers you in the right direction.
If the stars were to huddle, their white light staggering and alarming,
Like storms of matter and light,
The weird world of doctors would blow up and explode
Like blood cells too huge, openly a gruesome result.
Our eyes are unfocussed, beyond vision when our faces
Madly administrate what we have at the medical end.
Life in space is outside in, we are in-between worlds of stupor.
Let us hear and point at the bright light called Star-
It would solve us, our health and love.

Abortion is Outright Murder
You have no right to kill yourself;
You have no right to kill your own;
You have no right to kill others;
No one has right to kill someone.
Abortion kills the babe unborn;
Abortion kills the babe in womb;
Abortion is murder outright;
Abortion’s not anyone’s right!
Parents shouldn’t kill their progeny;
‘Aborting parents’ are killers;
Parents are like terrorists then!
Abortion isn’t doctors’ duty!
Doctors are meant to just save lives;
Doctors can’t abet murders, man;
Health care can’t include abortions!
Health care must only extend life.
Doctors are healers, life-savers;
Parents are rearers, life-carers;
Health care must try to avoid deaths;
Health care shouldn’t lead to murders foul!
