The Nile

Woke up into a dream
And I was walking
Up and down the streets
Of cairo
And then I heard a voice
That said I know you
Its time for you to turn
And face me
Her hair was long
Her eyes reached out and touched me
She said I know just
What it is youre after
Death is all around you
So you look for freedom
I know where to find it
Lets go to the river
We sailed upon the nile
I was enchanted
By the beauty in her magic
She showed me that my fears were unimportant
And then she touched me
With her vision
Her skin was dark
Her voice was liquid fire
She said I am your mate
And souls desire
Love is all around you
Light is deep within you
Life is always flowing
Lets go down the river

Lets Make A Night To Remember

I love the way ya look tonight
With your hair hangin down on your shoulders
N I love the way ya dance your slow sweet tango
The way ya wanna do everything but talk
And how ya stare at me with those undress me eyes
Your breath on my body makes me warm inside
Lets make out - lets do something amazing
Lets do something thats all the way
Cuz Ive never touched somebody like the way I touch
Your body
Now I never want to let your body go...
Lets make a night - to remember
From january - to december
Lets make love - to excite us
A memory - to ignite us
Lets make honey baby - soft and tender
Lets make sugar darlin - sweet surrender
Lets make a night - to remember - all life long
I love the way ya move tonight
Beads of sweat drippin down your skin
Me lying here - n you lyin there
Our shadows on the wall and our hands everywhere
Lets make out - lets do something amazing
Lets do something thats all the way
Cuz Ive never touched somebody like the way I touch
Your body
Now I never want to let your body go...
Lets make a night - to remember
From january - to december
Lets make love - to excite us
A memory - to ignite us
Lets make honey baby - soft and tender
Lets make sugar darlin - sweet surrender
Lets make a night - to remember - all life long
I think about ya all the time
Cant you see you drive me outta my mind
Well Im never holdin back again
Ya I never want this night to end
Cuz Ive never touched somebody like the way I touch
Your body
Now I never want to let your body go...

Everything Is Not Enough

It doesnt help you if you scream and shout
That isnt what this thing is all about
And do you really want to fight to win
Youre missing out and thats another sin
Your dream of power is a sacrifice
Do you really want to pay that price
Just think about it and youll change the pace
Look in the mirror tell me who do you face
Who is that?
Its everything, everything is not enough
I want it all, thats tough, thats tough, thats tough
Another dream, another dream, another dream goes pop
This is the time, lets stop, lets stop, lets stop
Nobody loves you if you moan all day
So take it easy then youll get your way
You aint no dummy and Im sure you know
You know its better if you let it go
Youre in control if you let it go
Youre feeling better when you let it flow
You never really had to catch the moon
Youre better jumping to another tune
So lets jump
Its everything, everything is not enough
I want it all, thats tough, thats tough, thats tough
Another dream, another dream, another dream goes pop
This is the time, lets stop, lets stop, lets stop
Its everything, everything is not enough
I want it all, thats tough, thats tough, thats tough
Another dream, another dream, another dream goes pop
This is the time, lets stop, lets stop, lets stop (do, do, do it)
Ive got it all but its not enough
I keep thinking boy I feel so rough
This cant be me, Im such a happy guy
I laugh a lot but I want to cry
A cry for help is just letting go
It hurts a lot but I think I know
Its time for change I dont need the hype
Its time for change and the time is ripe
So lets go
Its everything, everything is not enough
I want it all, thats tough, thats tough, thats tough
Another dream, another dream, another dream goes pop
This is the time, lets stop, lets stop, lets stop
Its everything, everything is not enough
I want it all, thats tough, thats tough, thats tough
Another dream, another dream, another dream goes pop
This is the time, lets stop, lets stop, lets stop
Its everything, everything is not enough
I want it all, thats tough, thats tough, thats tough
Another dream, another dream, another dream goes pop
This is the time, lets stop, lets stop, lets stop...

The Story of River Nile with Egyptian Women

Once upon a time in the beautiful ancient Egypt
The sun asked the river Nile
From where you got this golden color?
The river Nile said
It's the color of the Egyptian women skin
When they come to bath
I melt some of their skin's color
The sphinx asked the river Nile
From where you got this sweet taste? The river Nile said
My sweetness is from the sweat of the Egyptian women.
The pyramid asked the river Nile
Why you flooding up every year
The river Nile said
When i feel longing to have more women
The Egyptian men protested against the Nile
Please stop your sexual harass
They always come back asking for more
The river Nile asked
So do you give them what they need?
The Egyptian men said
Yes we must do..We can't resist their temptation.
The same with me
The river Nile said.

The River And Her

in the slow history of the river flowing
she wants to mark her own name with her fingers

religiously she goes there on a ritual of her own
naked she dips her skin on the water

so soft are her feet on the bed of pebbles
deep down the fishes ask for more of her toes

touched the river begins to sing a song for her
the bamboo leaves keep watching what happens next

will love dance on the surface of flimsy reasons?
will passion appear and last forever?

the banks want to close in on them: the river and her
the sun is worried what will happen next

it did end, but it was sad, as sad as the butterfly that lost one of its wings.
the river loses its name as she plunges deep to the tight arms of death.

Touched A Dream

(Talking) Girl you just don’t know
Last night was incredible. Listen. Check it out.
Last night, I felt the skies open up and rain down heaven
Last night, I felt the sun, the moon and the stars come together
Last night, I heard an angel speak to me he said us forever
And while we were making love, I saw visions of a tropical river
Last night I
Touched a dream
When you were here with me
Last night I
Touched a dream
Girl you fulfill my fantasy
Touched a dream
Said we rewrote the book of love making history
Touched a dream
Last night you brought my dreams to reality
Now last night, I could have sworn I saw an eagle spread his wings
Last night, I heard a massive choir lift their voice and sing
Last night, I saw the world living in peace and harmony
While we were making love, I felt my soul being set free
Last night I
Touched a dream
You were here with me
Last night I
Touched a dream
And you fulfill my fantasy
Touched a dream
I said we rewrote the book of love making history
Touched a dream
Ooh yeah, girl you brought my dreams to reality
After the rain comes the rainbow
The sun will shine after the storm
Oh yes it will and Mother Nature guarantees
Jumped the mountain and touched the sky
Over the sea baby we can fly
When we made love I see the flowers the trees the birds the bees
Last night I touched a dream girl
Touched a dream
You right here with me
Touched a dream
Ohhh ohh oooh a dream
Touched a dream
You fulfill my fantasy oh baby yes you did
Touched a dream
And baby we rewrote the book of love making history yeah yeah
Touched a dream
Girl, you brought my dreams to a reality yeah hey
Last night when you were lying next to me
Touched a dream
You fulfill my fantasy
Touched a dream
Yeah
And baby we rewrote the book of love making history
Touched a dream
Forever I have a dream
A vision of you right there with me
I know you’re my love making queen
Touched a dream
And I am your love making king
Let no man or woman come between
What God has given you and me
Touched a dream
The laws of reciprocity
And give those amorocity (bootlegged from the word amorist)
Provided us with food to eat
Touched a dream
Fills our vacancies but together the perfect chemistry
Forever anniversaries
Touched a dream
You’re the root to my tree, I’m a branch you’re a leaf
The apple carrying my seed
Touched a dream
Fall, winter, summer, spring
That’s why I ain’t gon’ let the devil steal my joy from me cause I done
Touched a dream
Touched a dream
Touched a dream

If Ya Wanna Be Bad - Ya Gotta Be Good / Lets Make A Night To Remember

She got a nasty reputation and a talent for sin
Shes the kinda trouble Id like to be in
I wanna be a lover - I wanna be a slave
But shes the kinda women makes me wanna misbehave
So give it what you want boy - lets make it understood
That if ya wanna be bad ya gotta be good
She says therell be no lying - no foolin around
No seven day weekends -
No nights on the town
Well thats the way I wast it -
Thats the way its gotta be
If youre looking for trouble better get it from me
So get on your knees boy and do what you should
If ya wanna be bad ya gotta be good
No she makes the laws -
She calls the shots
Do what she wants if you want what shes got
Cant have it both ways - you gotta chose
She can give you the rhythm or she can give you the blues
Oh, if you want sugar better bring it on home
Better keep it in the kitchen cuz thats where it belongs
You gotta make her happy boy
Just take it from me
Or youll never get none of that tlc
If youre tryin to get lucky
- better knock on wood
If ya wanna be bad ya gotta be good

I love the way ya look tonight

A Simple Touch!

you touched my hand,
and raised this body
from the land of the dead...
you touched my heart,
and freed this soul
from the dark maze
of its own prison.
you touched my eyes,
and restored sight
to a blind man.
you touched my ears,
and filled them with
the song of every living creature.
you touched my desire,
and brought stone and fire,
and the echo of the whipporwill's song.
i touched you,
and the earth stopped turning,
rivers stopped flowing,
and mountains fell...
all in a simple touch!

A Single Candle/Death Herself

A single flame lights her face
The face of death
A single candle holds her fears
The fears of death

Her hands clasped anrond their souls
The souls of the dead
She feeds of their screams
The screams of the dead

Her legs lay bellow her
Bellow death
Her black gown over her body
The body of death

Her chest rises and falls with her breath
The breath of death
Her cloak drawn over her long flowing jet hair
The face of death

Her eyes unmoved unfeeling
Do you see it?
Do you see the soul of death?
Do you feel it?

Her skin as white as snow as it fades into darkness
The snow of tears
Her cloths as dark as night that swallows the light
The dark we all shall see

Her eyes close as she feels their souls flow
Flow from the dead
She leaves them there to lay in darkness
She steals from the dead

A single candle lights their faces filled with her
Filled with death
They fall into the darkness of her eyes, of her heart
The darkness of death

A single candle shall stay to light their way
Their way through the dark
A single candle holds their past
The pain and trials

A single candle lights her face
The face of death
A single candle holds her fears
The fears of death herself

A single candle

Apollo

Lets move, lets shake
Lets bleed, lets fake
Lets go for broke
Lets make mistakes
Lets see, lets win
Lets pray, lets cheat
Lets have another dance
Lets watch our feet
Lets die in the arms
Of the girls we love
Lets sell our souls
To the man above
Lets move, lets go
Lets hop, lets start
Lets paint the town
Lets break a few hearts
Well run, well shout
Well thrash, well cry
But well never grow old
And well never die
Lying on a bed
With apollo in my arms
Doing everything we should
And being killed by her charms
Ive got apollo in my heart
Shes tearing me apart
She looks like an angel
Held here in my arms
Though I close my eyes
And I turn away
Im not letting go
No, not at this stage
Because knowing is only half of it
No matter what they say
And seeing her is believing
From miles and miles away
Shes closed her eyes
And shes turned away
Shes letting go
And I know shell say
Lets die in the arms
Of the girls we love
Lets sell our souls
To the man above

Resurrection Man

Do you feel disturbance ?
A disturbance hits the news
You cant dismiss it or ignore it
And youve waited so long for it
Its the winners turn to lose
(we cant wait another day)
In paris and geneve
In frankfurt and berlin
In london, rome and lisbon
A crisis will begin
Do you feel anticipation ?
Do you feel youre being used ?
Its the resurrection showdown
Its the winners turn to lose
Lets go all the way
Theres a target to destroy
Lets go all the way
Theres an army to deploy
Lets go all the way
Youre free to make a choice
Are you ready ?
Lets say it now with just one voice
Change, change, change
Im the resurrection man
Lets go all the way
Reach out and touch my hand
Lets go all the way
You know somebodys got to pay
Get ready
Get ready for the judgement day
This is a song of independence
You think youve seen it all before
I know you run and try and hide it
And sometimes you might deny it
But youve got a taste for more
(isnt that worth fighting for ? )
Lets go all the way
Cant you see that weve had enough
Lets go all the way
Before the going gets too rough
Lets go all the way
Youre free to use your voice
Are you ready ?
Win or lose you have a choice
Change, change, change
Theres a target to destroy
Lets go all the way
Theres an army to deploy
Lets go all the way
Someone has got to pay
Get ready
Lets say it now with just one voice
Change, change, change
Im the resurrection man
Lets go all the way
Reach out and touch my hand
Lets go all the way
Theres nothing more to say
Are you ready
Get ready for the judgement day

It's a river

When the time keeps passing and the world goes round
and the sea is crashing at the cliffs and the sounds
erupting as the seabirds cry, you can watch the river
as the time goes by

And it's like it's holy and it can be hell
and you feel so lonely and you fear the smell
of the guns that fire then you see the light
of a rainbow dawning and you realise
that the river's flowing as the time goes by

And you met the people and you knew them well
and you said you loved them and you rang the bell
in the tree of life you watched them grow
and the world is turning as the river flows

The earth smells good and the sky turns gold
when the birds are singing and you bless the old
you can kiss your woman and it feels so right
as you touch the river as the time goes by

As you stand barefoot upon the morning shore
and you feel the centuries of death and war
and the wind is biting and it tears your skin
and the river's flowing where its always been

And the river washes and the river's clean
and the soul remembers where the river's been
as you watch it tumble and you watch it flow
your life's a river now you know, now you know
your life's a river now you know.

The Holy River

Lets go down 2 the holy river
If we drown then well be delivered
U can still see the picture upon the wall
One eye staring at nothing at all
The other one trying 2 focus through all your tears
U can try and try but theres nothin 2 hide
U cant run from yourself and whats inside
U got 2 find the answers 2 the questions that u most fear
So over and over u ask your soul
Whyd u come down 2 a world so cold?
And the voice inside says 2night the truth will be told
U surrounded yourself with all the wrong faces
Spending your time in all the wrong places
Puttin your faith in things that only make u cry
People say they love u when they wanna help
But how can they when u cant help yourself?
The more they say they love u, the more u just wanna die
So here we go again, the self analysis
Have another glass of port and uh.. forget this
The bands playin at the club 2night and theyre bound 2 groove
There u are, u think ure high
U cant ask yourself cuz ud only lie
If u had a dollar 4 every time u tried
U cant call nobody cuz theyll tell u straight up
Come and make love when u really hate em
Relationships based on the physical are over and done
Theyre over and done (theyre over and done)
Ud rather have fun
With only one, with only one
Only one... one (one)
And then it hit cha like a fist on a wall
Who gave u life when there was none at all?
Who gave the sun permission 2 rise up everyday? (ooh, oh yes)
Let me tell it (gon)
If u ask God 2 love u longer
Every breath u take will make u stronger
Keepin u happy (happy) and proud 2 call his name (gon and say it)
Jesus (jesus)
And over and over u ask your soul
Whyd u come down 2 a world so cold?
And the voice inside said 2night the truth will be told
And this time I was listening, hear me
Lets go down 2 the holy river
If we drown then well be delivered (yes we will)
If we dont then well never see the light (no)
If u die before u try
Ull have 2 come back and face the light (oh yes)
When u believe it, u got a good reason 2 cry (oh my, my)
So I went on down 2 the holy river
I called my girl and told her I had something 2 give her
I asked her 2 marry me and she said yes, I cried
Oh, that night I drowned in her tears and mine
And.. and instead of a glass of sorrow and wine
Looking back yall, I dont miss nothing except the time
And when I see that picture upon the wall
The one eye staring at nothing at all
My eyes trying 2 focus but these are much different tears
Oh, yes they are
Lets go down 2 the holy river {x3}
Lets go down 2 the holy river {x3}

Straight From The Heart

Philip bailey, eddie del barrio, fred washington & roxanne seeman
Only when my arms are holding you
Then I can close my eyes
And know our love is oh, so true
And softly like a warm and gentle rain
Something comes over me
Like nothing that I can explain
Memories in the past, they seem to fade away
Like a storm that leaves a new love in its place
So lets go on and dont look back
Cause every days another dream come true
For me and you
Cause in the dark, you shined your light on me
Straight from the heart, touching my desire,
Fill my heart with fire, only you inspire
Lets set our spirit free, sparkle in the light
When I hold you tight, everythings alright
Lets review the pages of my the life
Read from a silent heart
Of a man thats not ashamed
To tell the world how I cherish you
Cause a million years can never be enough
My dear
How I love you and Im wishin
Every moment that youre here
Cause I just want to hold you tight
To close my eyes, and feel the warmth of you
Come shining through
Cause in the dark, you shined your light on me
Straight from the heart, touching my desire
Fill my heart with fire, only you inspire
Lets set our spirit free, sparkle in the light
When I hold you tight, everythings alright
Ill cross my heart and soul to get to you
Your loves so deep, Ill reach till I get through
Cause God sent you to be this part of my life
And if the years bring days of cloudy gray
Ill pull you closer to my heart and say

Sorry Me, Sorry You

Its so easy
When love is new
Magic feeling
In everything you do
But we get careless
And make each other cry
Oh, what a waste
Just to let love die
Lets give it one more try
You say youre sorry
Im sorry too
Sorry me
Sorry me, sorry you
The fire is low
But the ashes burn
Getting near the point
Of no return
Out on the edge
Such a dangerous place to be
When darkness falls
And you got no way to see
Dont turn away from me
You say youre sorry
Im sorry too
Sorry me
Sorry me, sorry you
Now its over
Weve reached the end
Time has come
To start again
You say youre sorry
Im sorry too
Sorry me
Sorry me, sorry you
You say youre sorry
Im sorry too
Sorry me
Sorry me, sorry you

Night Boat To Cairo

Night boat to cairo !!.....
Its just gone noon
Half past monsoon
On the banks of the river nile
Here comes the boat
Only half-afloat
Oarsman grins a toothless smile
Only just one more
To this desolate shore
Last boat along the river nile
Doesnt seem to care
No more wind in his hair
As he reaches his last half mile
The oar snaps in his hand
Before he reaches dry land
But the sound doesnt deafen his smile
Just pokes at wet sand
With an oar in his hand
Floats off down the river nile
Floats off down the river nile

You're My Mate

Ill tell you what I think, I think shes a cow
Shes let you down too many times now
Lets go for a drink, forget it for now
Put It behind you, I think its your round
Cause youre my mate and I will stand by you
Youre my mate and I will stand by you
And in the face of things that could hurt you
Youre my mate and I will stand by you
Cause youre my mate and I will stand by you
Youre my mate and I will stand by you
And in the face of things that could hurt you
Youre my mate and I will stand by you
Cause youre my mate
Ill tell you what I think, I think hes a pain
He aint got a car, but he drives you insane
Lets go for a drink and sink a few
Enough about him lets talk about you
Cause youre my mate and I will stand by you
Youre my mate and I will stand by you
Cause youre my mate and I will stand by you
Youre my mate and I will stand by you
And in the face of things that could hurt you
Youre my mate and I will stand by you
Cause youre my mate
All I wanna do is get drunk here with you
All I wanna do is get drunk here with you
All I wanna do is get drunk here with you
All I wanna do is get drunk here with you
Cause youre my mate and I will stand by you
Youre my mate and I will stand by you
And in the face of things that could hurt you
Youre my mate and I will stand by you
Cause youre my mate and I will stand by you
Youre my mate and I will stand by you
And in the face of things that could hurt you
Youre my mate and I will stand by you

Like A River

(carly simon)
Dear mother the struggle is over now
And your house is up for sale
We divided your railway watches
Between the four of us
I fought over the pearls
With the other girls
But it was all a metaphor
For what was wrong with us
As the room is emptying out
Your face so young comes into view
And on the back porch is a well-worn step
And a pool of light you can walk into
Ill wait no more for you like a daughter,
That part of our life together is over
But I will wait for you, forever
Like a river...
Can you clear up the mystery of the sphinx?
Do you know any more about god?
Are you dancing with benjamin franklin
On the face of the moon?
Have you reconciled with dad?
Does the rain still make you sad?
Last night I swear I could feel you
Moving through my room
And I thought you touched my feet
I so wanted it to be true
In my theater there is a stage
And a footlight you can step into...
Ill wait no more for you like a daughter,
That part of our life together is over
But I will wait for you, forever
Like a river...
In the river I know I will find the key
And your voice will rise like the spray
In the moment of knowing
The tide will wash away my doubt
cause youre already home
Making it nice for when I come home
Like the way I find my bed turned down
Coming in from a late night out.
Please keep reminding me
Of what in my soul I know is true
Come in my boat, theres a seat beside me
And two or three stars we can gaze into...
Ill wait no more for you like a daughter,
That part of our life together is over
But I will wait for you forever
Like a river...
Ill never leave, always just a dream away
A star thats always watching
Never turn away
Well never leave, always just a thought away
A candle always burning
Never turn away
The moon will hide, the tree will bend
Im right beside you
Ill never turn away

Lets Roll

Neil young
Lets roll
I know I said I love you
I know you know its true
I got to put the phone down
And do what we got to do
Ones standing in the aisle way
Two more at the door
We got to get inside there
Before they kill some more
Time is runnin out lets roll
Time is runnin out lets roll
No time for indecision we got to make a move
I hope that were forgiven for what we got to do
How this all got started Ill never understand
Hope someone can fly this thing and get us back to land
Time is runnin out lets roll
Time is runnin out lets roll
No one has the answer but one thing is true
You got to turn on evil when its coming after you
You gotta face it down and when it tries to hide
We gotta go in after it and never be denied
Time is runnin out lets roll
Lets roll for freedom
Lets roll for love
Going after satin on the wings of a dove
Lets roll for justice
Lets roll for truth
Lets not let our children grow up fearful in their youth
Time is runnin out lets roll
Time is runnin out lets roll
Time is runnin out lets roll

The Metaphor Of The Mirror And The Light

there is this face
in the mirror and it is talking to the body
to remind its skin
that it is real,

lights are turned off
and the face only hears a voice
from its mouth
it is assured still that it is a face
of someone it knew
so well
and will not deny it

the voice faded in darkness
and the face
hears nothing
and sees nothing about
its skin
and eyes

it is dark
and there is no voice anymore
except the
silence
and the loneliness that is about
to make a scream
to the mirror
that had long shut itself
because there is no light

the face demands a voice
the mirror begs for light
for the voice is a security
that life exists
and the light is the only
anchor of the mirror
when it becomes a boat
in the sea
of emptiness

but there is no light
and there is no voice
the mirror breaks the silence
the face becomes the wind
there is no boat
much less an anchor

there is only a word written
on paper
left on the floor
and it is spoken for no
one....
