<div style="background:#fff;border:#bbb dashed 1px;padding:5px"><a href="http://en.citatepedia.ro/comments.php?id=577529" style="color:#000;text-decoration:none"><div style="margin:10px 0"><strong>The ocean.</strong></div><div style="margin:10px 0">I watched awed as the ocean rises and curls itself, <br>Wondering what force was pushing it.<br>I watched with amusement as the waves displayed, <br>As if competing with each other, <br>Each one trying to outdo the others, <br>They crashed at my feet and filled me with the scent of the ocean.</div><div style="margin:10px 0">I looked far out into the ocean, <br>The blue sky blending perfectly with the bluish-green ocean<br>As if they were made for each other<br>The orange glow of the setting sun illuminating their beauty.<br>I sat, hypnotized, not moving an inch lest I miss something<br>The serenity of the beach filled me with peace and<br>Only the crashing sound of the waves could be heard.</div><div style="margin:10px 0">Some feet away, crabs lined the shore<br>As if saluting the ocean<br>And I realized we both appreciated this piece of wonder<br>That was when I realized the water was exceptionally clean<br>As if it had cleansed itself<br>I smiled, as the reason dawned on me<br>It's a new year and<br>The ocean has reborn itself<br>To start afresh<br>A new life.</div><div style="margin:10px 0">I took that as my cue to also start afresh and<br>I got up ready to leave.<br>I had taken a few steps when I looked back, <br>The crabs were going too, <br>It was as if they had waited to keep me company.<br>I bent down wishing I could say goodbye<br>But they scurried into their holes.<br>I smiled and left<br>Glad I had spent my first evening of the year with nature.</div><div style="margin:10px 0"><br /></a><br />poem by <a href="http://en.citatepedia.ro/by.php?a=Muneerah+Abdulrahman">Muneerah Abdulrahman</a><div class=q>
