<div style="background:#fff;border:#bbb dashed 1px;padding:5px"><a href="http://en.citatepedia.ro/comments.php?id=425085" style="color:#000;text-decoration:none"><div style="margin:10px 0"><strong>Free Associations</strong></div><div style="margin:10px 0">A bright idea spontaneously mixed<br>with waters from a wide vocabulary<br>oils wheels of thought which very soon are fixed, <br>flash p[l]ans to channel thoughts tu[r]ned poetry.<br>Verse with or without mental gymnastics<br>trips from tongue as playful kitten, strophe<br>footloose leaps, ignoring stones and sticks, <br>provoking ripples which preclude catastrophe.<br>Assonance, alliteration, acrostics, <br>tickle innate emotions oft compressed<br>within the minds recesses consciously<br>till free associations are expressed, -<br>osmosis in a blaze of ecstasy <br>firing synapses which gun jump to f[l]ree.<br>Thus, finally, communion we see<br>and feel, communication letting the<br>damm[n]ed barriers collapse, and, falling, be<br>come spring permitting priority<br>of tolerance at last to flourish free.<br>Prejudice is ever reassessed.<br>Enlightenment and understanding we<br>combine with all humanity holds best<br>to lend the world’s ephemerality<br>an instant yet infinite quality<br>without which much of mankind’s energy<br>would be dispersed, his rights stripped, dispossessed<br>without the vain futility protest<br>proposes to conscience clear, to test<br>the spiral of its own validity.<br>A fruitless search - as immortality<br>like life - a ghost of Christmas yet to be -<br>“is bound in shallows and in misery”.<br>One must, therefore, retain some sanity<br>avoiding misconceptions, vanity, -<br>sterile assertions, open heresy, -<br>press on towards enlightenment to free<br>the soul - avoiding blindness we feel we<br>cannot escape, or prefer not to do -<br>for fear of what we’ll find, - which once we knew.</div><div style="margin:10px 0"><br /></a><br />poem by <a href="http://en.citatepedia.ro/by.php?a=Jonathan+Robin">Jonathan Robin</a><div class=q>
