<div style="background:#fff;border:#bbb dashed 1px;padding:5px"><a href="http://en.citatepedia.ro/comments.php?id=417502" style="color:#000;text-decoration:none"><div style="margin:10px 0"><strong>The Seasons Of My Life</strong></div><div style="margin:10px 0">The life of a poet<br>Or at least someone who aspires to be<br>The same as the life of any other or perhaps not<br>Conflicted within self<br>Fighting self to be self<br>But who is self? <br>The search wages on<br>The hunger pangs through<br>Life's short, what's its purpose? <br>What's my purpose? <br>Ambition's really not my thing<br>And yet it always seems to find me<br>I live for the day, with the hope of a better tomorrow<br>All the while knowing it'll be worse<br>But hey, what's a man to do? <br>I lay awake at night with my mind on a thousand things<br>Can't seem to count sheep<br>Inspiration comes best when silence hears her voice<br>Mildy asks why the light's on<br>I tell her I've got to put pen to paper<br>Cos by morning, the drive's gone<br>Hate to wax personal<br>But hey, my pen, my paper, my pain, my life<br>With no intentions of pouring my life on a page<br>I hope to inspire someday, those who life bruise<br>Life's got a big feet you see<br>You've got to be a man and not let it kick you out<br>I've known pain in dimensions no one should<br>But they say God's got his reasons<br>The show's his, I'm merely an actor in a movie I didn't audition for<br>He knows well that if I had a choice, I'll say 'pass' and remain in non-existence<br>Me and God, oh He and I<br>Don't get in between when we have a 'lovers' quarrel'<br>I walk around saying I don't believe in Him no more<br>He walks beside me telling me to light up<br>Seems as if He says 'I can carry you on my back after all your enemies attack'<br>I think I'm hearing voices in my head<br>And walk on like I'm all alone on a cold planet<br>Yeah, the seasons of my life<br>Happiness has been a concept not an experience<br>At the end of every dark tunnel, there's light<br>Clichés fail to help in the twilight<br>Day sometimes break in the darkness<br>And I'm like 'something was bound to go right today'<br>As each day passes by and life loses its lustre<br>And I, my innocence<br>As I watch my dad almost take his last breath in front of me<br>And my friend die from a stray bullet<br>And another lose his mom to cancer<br>Life does indeed lose its lustre<br>Life's like a flood, God's my life raft<br>I hate Him most of the time<br>Still He says 'all these broken pieces fit together to make a perfect picture of us'<br>Love is life you see, I hope to find it<br>For now music colours my day<br>Just when I think the sun is finally shining<br>It gets cold and then dark<br>So suddenly it rains<br>It rains so hard that I retreat into my shell<br>Till I've found enough strength from within to take life on<br>Some say life is war, a battle that ends the day you die<br>Yet I say, in wars, roses can bud<br>Beauty from ashes<br>Diamond in the rough<br>I believe deep down, somewhere in my heart<br>That in spite of life's miseries<br>That God plants seeds in the winter<br>Which one day, someday, on a beautiful warm spring<br>.....Becomes a rose.<br>.....I am one of them.</div><div style="margin:10px 0"><br /></a><br />poem by <a href="http://en.citatepedia.ro/by.php?a=Jenim+Dibie">Jenim Dibie</a><div class=q>
