<br>When I entered Life’s tunnel sometime back, <br>It was a totally new experience! </div><div style="margin:10px 0">Sometimes, we’re shoved into this by others; <br>At times, we enter it all by ourselves; <br>Sometimes, the adverse environs force us; <br>At times, God allows such a trial-test; <br>The devils too happily see us thus! <br>This journey, we must make it with success.</div><div style="margin:10px 0">It was filled with darkness, coldness, solitude, <br>Without a ray of hope-light from outside; <br>I groped my way for weeks and years on end; <br>I found the tunnel almost ne’er –ending! <br>Despair had filled my mind and heart often; <br>At times, I thought I must live like the rest-<br>A sinful life, without the fear of God! <br>At times, I thought I must back off / return; <br>The odds were pitted heavily ‘gainst me! <br>My conscience advised me to carry on; <br>Life’s trials, tribulations come to all; <br>In life, none can escape adversity; <br>Life’s challenges we earthlings face somehow; <br>Cowards only avoid realities! </div><div style="margin:10px 0">I continued to be always upright; <br>I had to keep my good principles too; <br>I cried to God and pleaded many times; <br>Hopelessness filled my heart on many days; <br>But I did not veer from my righteous path; <br>Problems and strife do come to all earthlings; <br>Perhaps, they chose a few pre-destined ones! </div><div style="margin:10px 0">The God who made me with love like others, <br>Would not forsake me anytime in life; <br>He made me specially for role unique; <br>He won’t neglect or ignore any soul; <br>I put my trust in God and walked ahead.</div><div style="margin:10px 0">The tunnel was much longer than I thought; <br>I trudged my way without help from others; <br>I scarcely walked and never could I run; <br>God was my only Friend in times of need; <br>He made me feel that everything will end.</div><div style="margin:10px 0">Our transient life has joys and woes chain-like: <br>There was light surely at the tunnel’s end! <br>It took a longer time for me, of course! <br>And when I saw the light at last stream in, <br>The joy I felt was indescribable; <br>The light was brighter than I expected, <br>Remaining so for the rest of my life! </div><div style="margin:10px 0">God made it possible in turbulent days<br>To live without succumbing to devils; <br>And soon my days of woes were almost gone; <br>God showed a land of ‘milk and honey’ fast, <br>And here I live with dignity and pride; <br>I thank my God for all His help/ Mercy.</div><div style="margin:10px 0">He was the one who stood by me in strife; <br>He was the one who lifted me in falls; <br>He was the one who consoled me when ill; <br>He was the one who gave me company; <br>He was the one who changed my dismal world; <br>He was the one who put my foes to shame; <br>He was the one who gave me victory.</div><div style="margin:10px 0">He was the one who gave me strength of mind; <br>He was the one who walked ahead of me; <br>He was the one who helped carry my cross; <br>He was the one who forgave all my sins; <br>He was the one who instilled hopes anew; <br>He was the one who guided / counseled me; <br>He was the one who had loved me truly! <br>He was the one who energized my frame; <br>He was the one who opened my eyes wide; <br>He was the one who helped me smell dangers; <br>He was the one who loved me more than men; <br>He was the one who cared for me so well.</div><div style="margin:10px 0">Sometimes in life, we do enter tunnels, <br>Of variable lengths and sizes, shapes, pitch-dark; <br>How long we have to walk in it none know; <br>No one can tell if we can reach the end.</div><div style="margin:10px 0">But, there is light certainly at the end; <br>We must make it with patience, will-power; <br>And once we reach it, there ends our troubles; <br>The world will change most miraculously; <br>No more can devils tempt us with success; <br>We cannot commit mortal sins again.</div><div style="margin:10px 0">The Lord has been with us through all our strife, <br>And showed the path of cross to Calvary; <br>For that’s the way we ought to live on earth; <br>And that’s the way we must enter Heaven.<br>God has ear-marked a time/ season for things; <br>We must await it without losing hope; <br>Our faith will give us surely victory; <br>And Heaven too to all His righteous souls! </div><div style="margin:10px 0">God’s most beloved of creatures is man! <br>God has a plan even before our birth; <br>He knows our heart even before we’re made; <br>He watches us sleepless both night and day; <br>He feels so sad when we too face troubles; <br>But He will never close His eyes or turn, <br>Even for a fraction of a moment.</div><div style="margin:10px 0">He knows too well the devils’ wily ways, <br>And cannot permit one more soul to hell!
